“I had such a wonderful experience with Julia! She took amazing care of my dog and a last minute second dog. She also took great care of my home. She sent regular updates, photos, and thoughtful check-ins. My Dilly was when I got home. I would absolutely book Julia again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and attentive sitter!”

“Our eperience with Jayna couldn't have been better! Jayna did way more than what was expected. Our baby girl (Lani) was spoiled and well taken care of. Jayna took Lani on her daily walks, snuggled her with blankets at night, sent photo updates of our pup twice a day, and left our home honestly, in better conditions than when we left it! Jayna went above an beyond by bringing in our mail, being on a look out for incoming packages, keeping our backyard grass clean, and leaving my kitchen counters spotless. Couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter. Thanks so much!”

“Yesenia is fantastic! She cared for our kitties like they're her own. One, in particular, was going through some health challenges, and Yesenia took extra care to tend to her medication and special diet. She also played with them and kept us updated throughout, including lots of pictures.”

“Johnathan watched my fur babies for 5 days while I was at EDCLV, and he was seriously amazing! I was a little nervous about leaving them, but he totally put my mind at ease. He took such great care of them—feeding, playing, keeping them on their routine—and even sent me regular updates and cute pics, which I really appreciated while I was away. When I got back, the house was super clean, and my pets were happy, relaxed, and clearly loved. It honestly felt like they didn’t even miss me that much (which is a good thing!). You can tell Johnathan genuinely loves animals and treats them like his own. If you ever need someone dependable and kind to look after your pets, I can’t recommend him enough. I’ll definitely be asking him to pet sit again in the future :)”

“Karilou was great! She sent a lot of pictures and updates. I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs with her. We were able to enjoy a weekend trip without worrying about our dogs.”

“This is the best dog sitting experience I have had in awhile! Allison is very detail oriented and i felt comfortable with her right from the meet and greet. I have two cattledog mixes, and she made sure that their energy needs were met but also they got their snuggle time too! She gave plenty of updates and we came back to a clean and organized home. I had no worries and was able to enjoy my time away. I cannot recommend her enough and i look forward to the next time we need to book her again in the future.”

“Kristin was awesome! She came over to take care of our 4-month-old puppy on Halloween night and did a wonderful job. Punctual, personable, and dependable. Our pup was very well cared for. Would highly recommend!”

“Brittany was so kind and updated us with pictures of our pets. We felt safe and at ease with Brittany watching our animals. Brittany was great at communicating her schedule. Would absolutely recommend!”

About: I treat every pet as if they were my own and always aim to create a calm, loving environment for them while you’re away. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions — I’d love to meet you and your pet! Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 10 years of experience caring for pets for friends and family, and I’ve also worked with clients over the past few years. I have plenty of experience looking after both cats and dogs and understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I work remotely, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to spend quality time with your pet. Whether that means walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I’m happy to make sure they get the attention and care they deserve. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine consistent so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding schedules, medication if needed, and keeping litter boxes clean and fresh. I’m very attentive to each pet’s personality and comfort level — whether they want lots of playtime or prefer a calm presence. I also provide photo and message updates so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.
“Jennifer is great! We have hired her twice and our dog loves her. Our home is well looked after when we are gone and we get thoughtful updates about how our dog is while we are on vacation.”

“I can’t say enough great things about Vanessa! I recently connected with Vanessa as I needed to return home for my family members passing. When my dog first met Vanessa, he immediately ran to her.. he is normally a bit shy at first, so that was a MAJOR PLUS! During this crazy time, Vanessa made my little man Boogie feel right a home with daily walks, great pictures, (some of the best I’ve seen actually) sunset walks, treats and just completely kept me at total ease during a difficult time to be with my family on the other side of country. Vanessa is a gem and the best holiday connection Boogie and I made this year 🐶🙋♂️. I certainly recommend her to the fullest and will keep her top of mind..— everyone should :) Vanessa, Thanks so much again! MarQuies”

About: My love for dogs and cats (and all animals, really) has been a defining aspect of my personality for my whole life, from finding and rescuing a small cat at a playground in 3rd grade to excitedly exclaiming "oh wow LOOK AT THAT CUTE DOG!" from the passenger seat of a moving vehicle (apologies to the startled drivers). There's an Andrea Gibson poem where they referred to their dog as "my beating heart, with fur and legs," and that feels exactly right - whether my own pets or yours, I will love them as much as they'll allow. I'm here for anything from quick mid-day dog walks to hour-long jaunts on a trail for your dogs to joining your pets at your house while you're away. I have experience with sick and older pets, as well, and am the designated medication-giver in our own home. I've nursed a cat back to health from an animal attack via tube feedings, wound care, and multiple medications, and provided hospice comfort care for our older cat and dog in their final weeks. I've used Rover sitters for our own cats and dogs many times, and am very familiar with the anxiety that can come from leaving your fur-babies in someone else's care. (How many photos from a pet-sitter is too many? The limit does not exist!) I'm often the go-to pet sitter and dog-walker for many of my friends when they've been out of town, and have joined a former partner in being a Rover sitter in the past. I work from home running my own consulting business, so my schedule is pretty open and flexible. While I can't host in my own home - our own dogs are not always great with other doggos - I'm happy to travel just about anywhere in the greater San Diego region. I'm excited to meet and love on your babies! (Or, in the case of grumpy or shy ones, send love from the other side of the room while I refill their food dishes and scoop their litter.) I work from home running my own consulting business, so my schedule is very flexible! I can't board in my own home (our own dogs are very choosy), but I'm happy to travel anywhere around the greater San Diego region, whether for a quick visit or a longer stay in your home. - In-home care: You're the expert on your pet, and I'll gladly follow any instructions you have re: indoor / outdoor time for cats or dogs, crates, leashes, weird food routines, etc. - Dog walks: As the proud parent of a reactive dog (he's come a long way! but we're still working on it), I tend to default to crossing the street and avoiding contact with other dogs on dog walks. If you have a more social dog, I'll follow your instructions re: any social interactions. Plus: I have pet seat belts and a dog-friendly car if you'd like me to take your doggo(s) on a longer hike outside of your neighborhood.
“William was really good with Otto and took great care of him. He was really receptive with what I was looking for in a dog sitter and went above and beyond. Will definitely choose to have him doggy sit again!”

“Erika was so wonderful with my 12 year old pup Penny! She was very professional, sent regular updates, and has a lot of animal care experience/knowledge. Highly recommend!”

“Audrey has been house sitting/dog sitting for us for about a year now and she is excellent. She always goes above and beyond for our dogs and makes us feel they are in good hands. Our house is always spotless when we get home and she’s mindful of bringing in packages and watering our plants. Highly recommend Audrey and will continue to have her care for our dogs ❤️”

“Sage was WONDERFUL! My little fur baby can be quite the handful (she’s very hyperactive), and Sage was so great with her! She constantly sent me pictures and assurances that my dog was doing great while I was away. She definitely helped ease the worry I had from being away from my baby!”

“See my other review for Griselda - she's amazing! Highly recommend you trust her with your 4-legged family members. She also took lots of photos and video which put my mind at ease because I could see they were being very well cared for. She's the best!”

“I really enjoyed having Rosalinda take care of my senior dog and stay at my home. She made time to come meet me and my dog before my trip. She checked in regularly while I was gone, to let me know how my fur baby was doing. I would love to have her watch my dog again. I highly recommend Rosalinda.”

“Shakyra did an awesome job sitting for my pup. She kept me updated and sent me photos while I was away. When I got home my pup was happy and relaxed! I’ll definitely use Shakyra for dog sitting next time.”
Kensington pet parents share their Rover experiences
I was nervous about leaving my dog behind for a week, which was the longest we had been apart. Brittany made me feel comfortable that he was being cared for. I really appreciated her pictures and updates throughout the day. I would definitely recommend Brittany!

Rosalinda is a great house sitter and we look forward to hiring her again. She carefully read our notes on the dogs and the house. She has a great rapport with the dogs and clearly loves dogs. Communication with Rosalinda is excellent and she took some very nice pictures of our dogs and sent them to us while we were traveling, which cheered us a lot. Top marks!

Stella went above and beyond when caring for our pups. We were very nervous about leaving our dogs for an extended period but Stella eliminated all worries immediately and exceeded expectations. It is obvious that Stella genuinely cares for and loves animals, from the way she talks about her own dog to the way she consistently showed up for our dogs. In addition to the day to day routine, Stella took our dogs to the beach, bathed them, and left the house in immaculate condition. She is a fabulous communicator, sending photos and updates daily as well as letting us know if she had any questions or concerns which we really appreciated. Coming home to a clean house and happy pups is a great feeling! I would recommend Stella to all and look forward to booking with her in the future (I know my dogs do too)!

Laura was my first experience with Rover and she made it so easy. She was quick to respond and took great care of my pup while I was away. She sent numerous updates, provided beautiful photos, and I came home to a clean house and one happy puppy. I will most definitely book with Laura in the future. I trust my pup is in good hands with her.

This was my second time having Allison over to stay the weekend with Toby. We both love her! She’s so easy to coordinate with, responds to messages quickly, and send me really cute picture updates while I’m away. She’s very respectful of my home and takes great care of it while caring for Toby. Thanks so much, Allison!

Alex was great with my senior dog and puppy - they can be a handful. I appreciate her careful attention to detail and keeping me updated on them. It’s so nice to have a reliable person watch your house and pets while you are gone, knowing they do better in their own environment. I highly recommend her.

Lyn was amazing 👏 so flexible and sent constant updates. It was the first time I'd done a home-sitting, I was slightly apprehensive to have a stranger in our home, but felt very at ease with Lindsay. I was able to enjoy my time away without the stress and worry. 10/10 would recommend and use again. Shaka had the best time.

Matthew did an excellent job watching both my house and dogs. He was very communicative, sent regular updates and pictures, and took great care of everything while I was away. I felt completely at ease knowing my dogs and home were in good hands. I would absolutely recommend him.
