In 2025, I fostered over 23 animals
I have cared for bottle babies all the way to senior animals that need meds and additional support. Big and small I love them all! I have socialized the shyest of cats, and the pups that pull and bark. I can administer medication oral and otherwise. I also know how to use a variety of leashes and collars. I have walked over 300 dogs, and work with a reputable rescue in SD to foster cats and puppies. I am my family and friends’ resident dog sitter for many years! I’ve also volunteered at shelters and adore all animals. I’ve even sat for snakes, Guinea pigs, and a skink!

This is the second time Vanessa has taken care of my sweet old gal, Reiki. Vanessa is responsible, reliable and patient and affectionate with her, which I dearly appreciate. I feel anxiety when away because I know how much Reiki is emotionally anchored by me being around all the time, and I worry. However, having Vanessa helps a LOT -- she communicates lots of reassuring information including photos. It's hard to properly express how much this helps in knowing Reiki is in good hands and that "everything is ok." Thank you Vanessa!!
We absolutely loved Vanessa! ❤️ This was my first time using Rover, and I’m so glad I did because it led us to her. She was so sweet, kind, and loving with Mana from the moment we met her. She kept me updated the entire time and sent me so many adorable pictures and videos. As a first-time Rover user, those updates meant so much and gave me peace of mind knowing he was happy and being well taken care of. Vanessa was amazing, and you can tell she genuinely loves animals. She took such great care of our little guy, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We will definitely be booking with her again! 🐾❤️

Vanessa is an absolutely wonderful pet sitter! She does weekly check ins with our Great Dane. She is communicative, friendly, and goes above and beyond during her visits. She will do things for us even when unprompted (bring in packages from outside or practice tricks with our dog). Early on in her visits she texted me asking if there were more ways that she could engage with our dog and what her favorite activities are (frisbee, hide and seek). We are so lucky to have Vanessa! We trust her completely and know that our dog is loved and cared for when with her!
Vanessa was 10000/10!!! I felt extremely comfortable leaving my girl with her and I would absolutely do it again! She communicated so well with me throughout the time and was just so sweet to my pup. Thank you for everything Vanessa!

Schedule
I work full time from home, so I will be able to give your loved one 24/7 care! I love taking walks around the neighborhood in South Park, and so naturally already spend a lot of outdoor time. I live right next to a dog park, and have a lot of flexibility. We have a dog friendly resident cat, and thus have a lot of cat and dog equipment at all times in our home. A lot of cozy spots to rest!

I will care for your pet as if theyre my own! I am the trusted go to person for all my family and friends, and have over 20+ years of experience. I also work with a reputable rescue in SD who have done frequent home visits and partnerships. I’ve cared for over 100+ animals in my home or the person’s home. I follow instructions very well, and am a very neat and tidy person!

A typical day
I’m a morning person so we will be up early to go on a walk, and get some exercise! I also live close to Grape Street dog park, so we can always stop by there to play! I work from home so I can play or snuggle in between meetings, and take you around for plenty of walks! I love to cook so if permitted, you can have some treats!

- I have a lot of experience administering oral medications to both dogs and cats with special needs. If potty training or incontinence is an issue, please let me know, I’m happy to accommodate!
