About: I grew up with the sweetest Shih Tzu in the world named Dak (a small computer chip). And I think my style of pet care came from taking care of him. I was attentive and gave him lots of love. He loved driving in the car with me, actually :) I have been pet sitting for friends and on other platforms for over 5 years in their homes. And I took care of a neighbor's bird way back in high school. For the most part I have specialized in cats and small to medium dogs. I also have a calm spirit that many animals are drawn to. So we can chill together for a long time. In addition, I'm responsible and respectful, caring and considerate not only for pets but also for owner's homes. I am able to communicate well and clearly and can problem solve to resolve any situation which might arise. In short, I have the know-how to be able to feed, entertain, clean up after, and love cats and dogs and their living spaces. And I can communicate well to their parents to keep them safe and happy while mom and dads are away. I currently work part-time teaching English online. I also am writing my doctoral dissertation. This means I am home a lot and very happy to spend lots of time with pets, even at my desk with me or curled up on the sofa. I strictly watch pets in their own homes. Firstly, because I am missionary and I've been staying temporarily in my parents house in North Carolina and now here with my brother in Palo Alto. Secondly, because I think pets are much happier if they can stay in their own homes and in familiar surroundings.
“She's great. My dog has never been with anyone but family and she is able to comfort him. With my schedule changing, it is wonderful having her as a backup for work. Like I said, she's great.”

“We had roof work done on our house and it stressed our dog horribly. We are grateful that we easily found William to take our doggy for the day. William played with our dog, took him for walks and our dog seemed happy and relaxed when we picked him up. I would definitely call William again for help with my dog.”
“We had a fantastic experience with Nancy for doggie daycare! She was incredibly responsive and friendly throughout the entire process. Our dog, Cash, came home happy and totally exhausted from all the fun he had—which is exactly what we were hoping for! We were hosting an event at our home, and Nancy went above and beyond by offering pick-up and drop-off, which made things so much easier for us. We’re so grateful for her care and will definitely be using her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Antonio was the best. I got regular video updates and my dog was clearly having the best time during his stay. I look forward to working with Antonio again in the future.”

“Nice guys who have a great house for dog sitting. You can tell they take their job as sitters seriously. They send pictures every time and communicate quickly. Will definitely book them again.”

“Holly is an absolute angel! She took such good care of my little Frank. I would highly recommend her if you want your little fur baby to feel safe and loved in your absence.”

About: As the son of a competitive sled dog racer in the northeast, I spent my entire childhood with dogs - at work, at play, and at rest. As an adult, I have cared for pets of my own as well as for pets of family and friends throughout the LA area, building strong bonds and providing reliable, attentive care. I recently moved to San Diego and am excited to build a loving community of furry friends. I love dogs of all breeds and sizes... but huskies will always have my heart. I work from home as a writer, which means I’m around throughout the day to give dogs plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and companionship. My wife is a nurse and is available in the evenings and on weekends and variable weekdays, providing extra support, love and attention. I understand that every dog is unique, and I take pride in creating a calm, safe, and loving environment tailored to your dog’s needs. We have a fully fenced-in front yard as well as a separate fenced turf area in the back, giving dogs safe outdoor space to play, explore, and relax throughout the day. Whether your dog is high-energy, shy, or a senior who prefers lounging in the sun, they’ll be treated like family here. Safety - Secure, fenced property - our home features a fully fenced front grass yard and a separate fenced turf area in the back, allowing dogs to enjoy outdoor time safely and supervised - Constant supervision - since I work from home, dogs are rarely left alone - Controlled environment - I limit the number of dogs I care for at once to ensure personalized attention and a calm, low-stress setting - Routine and consistency - I follow your dog’s established feeding and walking schedules. - Clean and comfortable home - dogs are treated like family with access to clean indoor space and safe outdoor area.
“So so happy I found this couple to watch our dog for the day. Stormy sent lots of photos and updated me frequently and as requested. Our dog looked like he had so much fun there with all the friends he got to make! Will absolutely rebook with them if we ever need to :)”

“My dog, Bella, had an amazing time at Robert and Andrea’s house while I was at work. Indy, their sweet dog, was such a good host too! It was my first time doing “day care” and they made me feel so assured and provided updates as my pup settled in. They went out of their way to make us both feel comfortable. I will definitely be requesting to have them pet sit again!!”

“Gabrielle was fantastic! Kept me updated throughout the day, sent pictures and videos, and took our dog on multiple walks. Absolutely recommend her and her sweet dog to take care of yours!!”

“Lindsay is great! I’ve had my pup less than 2 weeks, still learning her quirks, haven’t left her alone yet, and I had tickets to a show….. Lindsay accepted my request super last minute and I am so eternally grateful. Lindsay sent me an update, a couple hours after I dropped Libelle off, and once I got Libelle home, she passed out (yay!). Highly recommend Lindsay and will definitely book with her again.”

About: Hi! I’m Riley . I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have had six of my own over the years, a Border Aussie, Beagle, Labrador, Husky, Australian Shepherd, and Cocker Spaniel. Because of that, I’m really comfortable with all types of dogs, from small to big high-energy working breeds. I’ve been pet sitting for over a year and a half, and I genuinely love spending time with animals. I enjoy getting to know their personalities, sticking to their routines, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I also have experience with basic training and keeping pups active and engaged. Whether your dog wants long walks, lots of playtime, or just someone to chill with on the couch, I’ve got them. Can’t wait to meet your fur baby!💛 Besides my classes, I’m pretty flexible, so pet care fits into my routine really easily. We can plan everything around your dog’s schedule and what works best for you. I’m happy to adjust and make sure your pup gets the attention they need. I care for pets in my own home by introducing them to my housemates and seeing if they are comfortable first in my home. Then I will take them to the beach and parks that are right next to my house. In the owners home I will be respectful of their belongings and not touch anything I shouldn’t. I will feed pets if needed on schedule, give them attention, walks, and doing anything else asked if needed.
About: I don’t care if you have an old Pug with breathing problems or a rowdy Great Pyrenees in the prime of its life, all dogs get treated with the same love and care that I give my own I have been working from home for the last 5-6 years. Almost 4 years ago I got my Rhodesian Ridgeback named Copper. I currently enjoy all the pleasures of work from home life while being able to hang out with my dog all day! I have a large, un neutered male dog. He is very well trained and mostly good with other dogs. He loves having other dog friends and “sleepovers” but obviously he doesn’t get along with every dog so an initial meeting is important. I am unable to board unspayed dogs of any kind. I live in an apartment but copper is an active dog that requires lots of exercise (2-4 hours daily). We go on runs, walks, to the park, beaches, etc. It’s important for him to stay socialized because of his size. Any guest dogs are welcomed to join in on any of this stuff or just stay home and lounge while we are out and about!
El Cerritos dog parents share their Rover experiences
Chris is a nice, pleasant and friendly when we met, and Zoe took a liking to him right away. He sent us photos when we asked and communicated with us when we would inquire how Zoe was doing throughout the day. Chris watched Zoe for a good amount of the day since my partner and I work shifts at the hospital. Chris did a wonderful job with Zoe, took her on walks and car rides and updated us so we felt that she was given plenty of love and attention. Thanks for having her in your care and we'd love to book you again.

Layla was amazing!! I usually leave my dogs with friends or family because one of them is really anxious, but she handled both of them so well. She took them on walks and sent me 3–4 updates throughout the day, which I really appreciated. I’ll definitely be coming back to her if I ever need help with my dogs again. Great communication and super flexible!

We had roof work done on our house and it stressed our dog horribly. We are grateful that we easily found William to take our doggy for the day. William played with our dog, took him for walks and our dog seemed happy and relaxed when we picked him up. I would definitely call William again for help with my dog.
Danielle was such a blessing for us! We needed a sitter for our sweet girl Daisy last minute and Danielle happily helped out. She kept me posted and sent pictures the entire time, was very attentive and loving with our girl and overall very communicative though out her visit. If you need a dog loving sitter who truly will care for your fur baby Danielle is the perfect fit! 10/10 would recommend her to anyone who needs a great sitter!

Dusty had an AMAZING time with Stefani! During his drop of it was clear that he was right at ease with her immediately and shortly after I left he was already snuggled up for a morning nap! I’m incredibly appreciative that they went for a fun filled romp at the dog beach, so he got to run and exercise and play. Stefani sent photos and updates which helped ease my mind that my pup was in great hands and not missing me a bit! Stefani was flexible and helpful and I’m quite sure Dusty wanted to stay even longer than his one day visit! We’d love to return again 🥰

This was our first time working with a dog sitter and Nancy exceeded our expectations. Not only was she on point with the daily updates, she kept a clear line of communication throughout and was flexible enough to take our dog out for more bathroom breaks than initially requested, walk our dog at night when it’s less hot outside, and offered her tons of playtime in between. If you are looking for someone who goes above and beyond and actually looks after your pet as if it was one of her own, I would recommend Nancy.
