Small and senior dog care 🐶
I had my 16 year old dog Dakota since she was a puppy until she passed away earlier this year and I've fostered multiple senior dogs over the last couple of years for Frosted Faces. I only accept small dogs (under 16lbs) for daycare and boarding with a max of 3 dogs at any given time so you can be sure your dog will get dedicated attention and not be overwhelmed. Melanie is such a kind and loving petsitter--and her longtime experience caring for senior dogs is such a huge benefit, too--she's given me great tips on things like how to get my dog to take his medicine and suggestions about how to help his mobility.

Melanie’s such a kind and understanding sitter. It was my dog’s first stay with her, and she gave him the space and time he needed to warm up to her. She also sent updates and photos throughout the stay. 🫶
Melanie took care of my doggies for 1 week. 2 of the days were overnight boarding at her place, the rest were daycare visits. She took wonderful care of my dogs, sent lots of photos and was responsive to texts. I was in a bind and needed her to take the dogs in an extra night and she was able to accommodate us. When I picked my dogs up they were very calm and well rested. And they were always excited to see Melanie at drop-off time. She treated them like they were her own and I am so grateful to have found her. I highly recommend Melanie. I have no doubt she will treat your pet with great care and you will be very happy you chose her. I know I am.
Melanie is the consummate doggy caregiver. She truly takes such tender care of my dog, and her deep experience looking after elderly dogs also shines through, which I so appreciate since my dog is 15. Melanie is simply amazing.

Schedule
I work full time from home and my schedule is pretty flexible - I can take breaks as needed to take care of the dogs.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a one bedroom apartment, there is no fenced in yard but the door always remains closed. I wouldn't take any dogs out without their collar and leash on. There is a set of stairs to get up to my apartment (~12 steps), I can carry dogs up and down if needed. The apartment itself is one level and I have doggy stairs to get on the couch as well as a gate to keep them in a carpeted area if they need that for balance or anything.
A typical day
I usually walk the dogs to the park down the street or just around the neighborhood everyday, sometimes we will go to one of the local coffee shops.
