About: I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your dog, because they are not “just a pet.” They are family. Whether you need dependable everyday care or someone to step in for a last-minute dinner date, I’m your gal, Val! I have spent much of my life caring for and working with dogs. My mother is a dog groomer by trade, so I grew up in a shop, knew our local shelter techs and vets, and even got to shadow veterinary surgical procedures as early as middle school. I am comfortable following detailed care instructions, using specialized collars and harnesses, reinforcing established training routines, and caring for dogs with very different needs and personalities. I am patient with teething puppies, cautious rescues, high-energy pups who would rather walk me, and sweet senior “old geezers” who need a gentler pace or extra support for conditions like hip dysplasia. I understand that puppies need consistency, supervision, and positive reinforcement, while senior dogs may need medication schedules, mobility accommodations, and a little more patience. I also genuinely love big dogs, including the ones who think they are lap-sized (adorable, but factually incorrect). Most importantly, I treat every dog as an individual. Whether your pup needs an adventure buddy, a calm and reassuring presence, or someone who can confidently manage a detailed routine, I will make sure they feel safe, understood, and thoroughly loved. I work from home, so I have plenty of flexibility to give your pup lots of attention, playtime, walks, and companionship throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I love having a furry coworker nearby. I can easily accommodate regular potty breaks, feeding schedules, exercise, and plenty of affection. I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I follow each pet’s usual feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. I provide lots of playtime, affection, enrichment, and outdoor breaks based on their energy level and personality. I am also happy to send regular photos and updates, so you can relax knowing your pet is having a great time.

About: Hello there! 👋😃 I am excited to connect with you and learn about your precious fur babies! 🥰 My name is Jess and I am a lifelong cat and dog mom. With 2 cats, 2 dogs, and 2 fish at home, it’s safe to say I am a devout animal lover who cares deeply for our dear companions. I value safety, trust, communication, respect, and over-the-top high level, heartfelt care. Our animals are family, and I don’t take it lightly when I am entrusted with the safety and care of a sweet, precious little being! 🐕🦺🐾 I work for myself & remotely, so I have complete control over my schedule! This allows for maximum flexibility and enables me to come most anytime you’d need me. It is important to me to treat your space with the same love, respect, and care with which I treat my own home. I adhere to your house rules and have a personal policy of leaving a space better than I find it.
“Carmen was fantastic from first communication. I had to book her last minute when other plans fell through and she was quickly responsive and reassuring. She asked questions that I didn’t think of, showing me she cares and is thoughtful, responsible and takes the job seriously with heart. She sent great pictures that showed my cat trusting and loving her, which put me totally at ease while I was across the country for a week and a half. I trusted her immediately and would recommend her to anyone. Cats know cat people and when you want someone to just love your cat when you’re gone, she’s your girl!”

About: Hi, My name is Sandra. I decided to join Rover to help other Mom's and Dad's of fur babies have an option to boarding your baby in a caged facility. The stress of hoping they're okay, while on vacation, makes you not enjoy your time away. The feeling of having to go to work, but not wanting to leave your baby alone throughout the day, leaves you feeling so guilty. I'm here to help. My job allows me to work 100% from home, so I am able to provide daycare as well as boarding services. I am experienced with senior babies, as well, as my Shih-Tzu just crossed the rainbow bridge, after almost 19 years. He was with me me since he was 7 weeks old. I truly understand the meaning of our pets are family!! I've been pet sitting for several years and am passionate about caring for animals. I'd love to meet you and your fur baby to see how I can be of service to you. I always schedule a meet and greet, as the safety and you being comfortable leaving your baby with me is my top priority! I am more than happy to show you the inside of my home, where your baby will be socializing, sleeping, eating, etc. You are welcome to bring a few of their toys, a blanket or anything else that would make their stay more comfortable. Weekly rates available for daycare. I’m working from home 100%. I am available for daycare and boarding weekdays and weekends, as well. Located in the Mission Valley area, near Fenton Parkway. I have a few dog parks in my area, and lots of grassy areas, so potty breaks are never a problem. Lots of love here.

“Shay was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond making sure our dog was taken cared of. I really appreciated the constant communication and reassurance that our dog was okay. Shay was very friendly and made it feel easy leaving our dog while we were away! She was very responsible and responsive as well. I will definitely be booking her again in the future.”

About: Howdy Rover! Growing up, my family always had cats, cats for days, mom did not have the bandwidth for dog shenanigans. But I have been passionate about canine's from my earliest memories. I have been dogsitting and walking my grandparents dog as well as neighborhood dogs since I was 12. MY first dog, raised from 3 months, is the big handsome purebred German Shepherd seen in my profile photo. Koda was adopted from a breeder in 2020. He's very friendly and well trained. My roommate has another Gshep adopted from a shelter, and an Aussie Shep, so I'm used to VERY high energy and demanding dogs. That said, our home can't accommodate anymore furry friends, so I'm only available for housesitting and visits. Looking forward to meeting your furbabies! At this time my availability is completely open. I happily make this my full-time job if possible. I've been out of formal work for a year due to a slump in the job market. I will do my utmost to ensure your pets are safe, happy, and healthy. I'll evaluate potential hazards in the home before you leave, ensure all special instructions are understood and followed, and give you and your pet the best experience possible. I'll give them the same care and attention I would give to my own.
About: I am an uncle to many cats and dogs over the years. I have lived with pets all my life. Most recently, 2 years with a Shih Tzu, Sola, and have cared for her throughout our time together. I have watched over my friend’s pets for weeks on end and enjoy the time we spend together. I love seeing the bond between people and their furry friends! I have helped raised a surprise litter of puppies, trained them, and helped them find good homes! We still keep in contact with their new loving families! I am currently working from home on a part time schedule, so my schedule is pretty open and flexible. I can accommodate to most schedules and carry my work with me. Sola has two small homes she uses as her safety zone. A crate is for when she is feeling stressed and a fuzzy home for when she wants privacy. We have an understanding to not cross her boundaries and when she enters those spaces, we give her the privacy she requests. Understanding animals boundaries is important to me, for my safety, their wellbeing, and to maintain trust, especially if I’m a stranger to them.
“Evelyn was amazing. She really took the time to bond with our pet. We loved seeing the photos of our pet and Evelyn was incredibly thorough. I was so impressed with her attention to detail and her thorough note taking during our meet and greet. I highly recommend Evelyn to everyone. We had such piece of mind traveling out of country!”

“Anna was fantastic! She took great care of my cat, Clark, while I was out of town and gave me so much peace of mind. She was reliable, communicative, and sent thoughtful updates and photos after each visit, which I really appreciated. It was clear that she genuinely cared about making sure Clark was comfortable and well cared for. Highly recommend!”

“Allison took such great care of our two dogs! We got updates and pictures consistently throughout our time away. We felt so comfortable on our trip knowing our babies were in good hands. Definitely will book with her again!! Thank you Allison!!”

About: Pets have always been apart of my family life growing up. I helped my childhood pet give birth to her pups. I have trained my own dogs in obedience, tricks, and potty training. It is very rewarding spending time with dogs and helping them live a fuller life. I am currently available everyday of the week to spend time with your pups or cats! I also offer boarding services. I am more than happy to help meet your family’s needs. I have two small dogs. Cookie is 10 (Shih tzu). Ollie is 8(Pomeranian/papillon mix). They are very friendly to all dogs/cats they encounter. I have a small crate if needed. While I do live in an apartment, there are pet relief areas on site and tons of walking paths with grass. I also love to go on long walks if needed and trips to any nearby dog parks. I live in the Civita Area. There is a dog park walking distance from my home for social needs and another great dog park sectioned off(big/little) up the hill from me.
“This was my 3rd or 4th time with Stella and she continues to be amazing :) She sends the cutest pictures and videos and always keeps me in the loop with my kitties.”

About: Hi there, I’m Maryelle! I’m from Orange County and have been living in San Diego for about 5 years. I am a nurse looking for extra weekend work, and what could be a better side job than working with dogs?! I’ve had dogs in my home since the day I was born, and don’t know a life without my best furry friends! I’ve worked with senior dogs, puppies, and dogs aged all in between. I have several years of experience loving and working with my parents’ dog who has cerebeller abiotrophy, a neurodegenerative disorder that requires him to use a wheelchair. My own pup is a tripod, and he is my angel! I used to volunteer with The Animal Pad, a dog rescue foundation in San Diego, which is also where I ended up rescuing my sweet boy. I have so much love for all animals, and I can work with pet parents to accommodate specific needs. I would be so happy to help with weekend check-ins and walks for your pup. Contact me for your weekend sitting needs ! I’m currently working as a nurse, and my availability is mostly on the weekends. Message me with questions and we can see what works! I am happy to learn about how you care for your animals and how I can continue that for your fur babies during check-ins and walks.
“Thanks so much to Genevieve for dropping in to feed and play with Bert on my last minute request, she was able to follow my instructions perfectly and sent me lovely photos and videos of Bert letting me know he was happy, healthy, and looked after. Will definitely be calling on her to drop in again if I need it.”

About: I have taken care of animals since a young age, including horses, pigs, sheep, and chickens, but most importantly— dogs and cats!! I have experience watching my families own dogs from puppies to seniors as well as house sitting for my neighbors who have had up to three dogs and two cats at a time. I am also experienced in house sitting and have watched and cared for many neighbors, friends and families homes over the years. I am currently a graduate student so my schedule is very flexible and while pet sitting I would only be gone for up to two hours at a time, twice a day. I can work from home most of the time and am available most weeks and weekends. I am currently only available for house sitting as my home does not allow animals. I love all dogs and cats I meet, I am comfortable staying alone with the furry friends at your home for up to two weeks at a time.
“Janice was so great with our little dog Biscuit! She really took the time to address his needs while we were away and made sure he was happy and attended to. Her communication was spot on and made us feel very comfortable. I would recommend for sure!”
