“Wonderful pet-sitting experience! Our dog was well cared for, and the sitter was prompt, reliable, and very responsive. We felt completely comfortable knowing our pup was in such good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Margaret was wonderful to work with. Our cat has become quite shy in his old age, but Margaret took the time to find his hiding places and give him pets each day. She also kept us updated with photos and fun stories which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We are so appreciative and would absolutely recommend her!”

About: Hi! My name is Lily and I am a senior Providence College. I am from Portsmouth, Rhode Island and have grown up with a husky german shepard mix as well as a black lab terrier mix. They have been my best friends and I am passionate about animal care as I spent time following my dad around while he worked on a local farm! I love caring for dogs especially and would be more than happy to walk your animals! My dog Bella is currently 13 so I know the ins and outs of a senior dog, while having puppy experience because we got her at just seven weeks old! I’m available to walk or care for animals in between my classes, on my free days, as well as during the weekends at any point! I can easily follow instructions when it comes to dog sitting and have been responsible for caring for neighbors dogs for long periods of time around the clock! I’d love to care for your animal!
“Emma was super friendly and communicative. We unfortunately had to cancel our rover visit last minute though she made the effort to come over ahead of time to meet our cat and take notes on what she needed. We definitely look forward to utilizing her services in the future!”
About: Passionate pet sitter with experience caring for a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and exotic pets. Adept at providing exercise, feeding, and administering medication. Reliable and trustworthy with a commitment to providing the highest level of care for clients’ beloved companions. A loving pet sitter who works from home. My flexible schedule allows me to cater to the needs of your furry companion so they can stick to the schedule that they know best. My goal is to treat your pet exactly like you would to provide you with some peace of mind while you are apart. Before any new booking, I like to get together with you and your best friend to go over the do's and dont’s to make sure your pal has the best experience possible.

About: I have taken care of and grown up around dogs and cats my entire life. Patience and learning the pets personality is, in my opinion, the most important aspect of pet care. I treat every pet like they are my own, with kindness and respect! I look forward to meeting your pet! I just moved back to Newport from NYC and am looking to fill my time. I am currently between jobs, so I thought what better time than now to focus on another passion of mine, pet care! I will treat your pet with care and comfort they require. I am very communicative and ensure updates to you, as I know putting your trust in someone to care for your pet can be stressful. I want to make any visits or walks with your pet as low stress as possible, for both you and your pet! Trust is very important with a pet and getting to know them is my main goal.
About: I have taken care of dogs for a long time! Overnight stays, drop in visits, multiple dogs at once, walking, feeding, playing. I have done it all! I currently work from home and my weekends are free! I am available all day on weekends and a few select weekdays. I am also available on weeknights! I have a fenced in yard at my home as well as a 2 year old Goldendoodle who loves everyone and all dogs! She loves having friends over and playing in the backyard. She is also a great sharer of all things!
“Mary was so kind and quick in response! She came over to meet our animals and so we could show her their routines. Our animals were well cared for and loved!’ Communication was great throughout!”

“Charlie was a fantastic pet sitter. My 3 cats are challenging, needing to all be fed separately and kept separate while I’m away! I’m sure it was difficult to juggle feeding each one, separately, changing water dishes, scooping 2 boxes at opposite ends of the house, making sure no one escaped from their partitioned areas, all in a half hour - and finding time for a little love or play. Charlie reported any uncertainties that arose, and sent me pictures at the end of each visit which was very much appreciated! I felt at ease knowing my little rapscallions were in her hands. Her rates are reasonable and fair, and I would heartily recommend her!”

About: Hi! I’m Sam. I work as a therapist, which means patience, responsibility, and building trust are a big part of who I am. I’ve always loved animals and enjoy spending time outdoors, so pet care is a perfect fit. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and keep you updated so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care, I’d love to help! My schedule is flexible throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I work remotely and have the ability to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting with advance notice. I’m happy to work with pet owners to find a schedule that best meets their needs and their pet’s routine. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and happy to follow any feeding, medication, exercise, or behavioral instructions. I’ll keep you updated throughout my visits so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
“My kitty was quite elderly, with some special needs. So when I had a last-minute need for a drop-in visit, I wanted to be extra sure to find someone very reliable, willing to do meds, and very gentle with the kitty. Emily is all that, and more! I would happily call on her again.”

About: I grew up having dogs and cats and love them both. Taking care of them from kitten/puppyhood to the end of their life. This helped me to understand how their needs change with age. During my time living oversees I rescued several street animals and have brought 4 of them back here to the US. In caring for the animals of others while they are away I've learned how to gain their trust as the newcomer. Animals are a total joy. My primary secular work is from home and flexible, so I'm able to accommodate your schedule as needed. Pet care is scheduled regularly throughout my day and week. Since all pets and their owners are individuals I respect the routines already in place to the best of my ability. But I always spend time petting and playing with them rather than just doing the basics.
About: I am an animal lover who volunteers at Best Friends Animal Society. I’m responsible, caring, and love giving pets the attention and care they deserve! 🩷🐾 As a student at Salve Regina, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to pet care. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and sitting throughout the week, with plenty of availability in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Whether your pup needs a midday walk, overnight care, or extra playtime, I can accommodate a variety of schedules. Ensuring pets feel safe and loved is my top priority. In my home, I create a pet-friendly environment by removing hazards and providing cozy spaces. In clients' homes, I respect their space and follow their routines to keep pets comfortable. Regular updates and open communication help build trust with pet owners. By focusing on these practices, I ensure a secure and nurturing environment for every pet in my care.
“Amber was fantastic, and we are so grateful to have found her! Easy to schedule and coordinate, and we came home to two very happy kitties. Will definitely be booking Amber again, and highly recommend!”

“I was lucky enough to find Ava on this site to care for my 2 kitty's for 10 days while I traveled. Ava is a great communicator, always sending reassuring photos after her visits. My cats were very well cared for and she did exactly what she said she would. I would highly recommend Ava and will use her services again without hesitation!!”

I’ve fed, walked, played, and bathed dogs of family friends and neighbors I am currently in school part time So I have a pretty open schedule in the afternoon and on weekends. I love to run in the mornings and during the day as well. Unfortunately, The home I am renting does not allow pets so I am offering house sitting, drop in visits, and dog walking services. I need to know the feeding schedule and where their things are located
“I was looking for some help with a very elderly kitty ~ so he really needs someone who can be very gentle with him, and at the same time very competent. Jessi is absolutely both. I would definitely call her again! Also, I had to search at the very last moment, which turned out to be no problem!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Middletown
Jenilie did an incredible job with Mark! Her and her husband went above and beyond to take care of Mark especially when Mark was experiencing an upset stomach! They cleaned him up along with his kennel to ensure Mark had a clean space to rest in until we returned!

Madeleine did a great job. She was very accommodating and personable during the initial meet and greet, and very responsive regarding care instructions leading up to our trip. She also communicated throughout the 3 days we were away—sending a note and photos after every visit with the dogs. She even brought in a package from the porch :)

Once again, Madison and Joseph were awesome! They have taken care of my very sweet but very energetic 7 year old German Shepard multiple times and every time, I come home to a happy dog. They play ball with her, make sure she gets fed when needed and always has water. They will send you pictures of every visit and they even brought in a package for me. Thanks again!

Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
