About: Hey, I’m Lucas! I’m from South Kingstown, RI, and I’ve been around animals my whole life. Right now, I live with two dogs, two cats, guinea pigs, and even some reptiles, so I’m pretty used to taking care of a variety of pets. Currently, I’m a full-time security guard supervisor and a full-time student at URI. While my schedule is busy, Rover allows me to combine my love for animals with the flexibility I need to support myself through college. I’m here to do what I love: care for pets, ensuring they feel comfortable and happy while you’re away. Whether it’s walking dogs, playing with cats, or just making sure your pet is comfortable while you’re away, I’m here to help. I’ve had pets all my life, so I understand how important it is for them to get attention and care. I’d love to meet your furry (or scaly) friends and make sure they’re happy while you’re out! I am a full time security guard and student at URI but I can house/pet sit any night from 8pm-8am. I am also happy to do stop ins, and walks in the mornings. I am very experienced with a lot of animals, and all at once. If you need someone who genuinely cares about your babies I’m your guy!!
About: I owned a German Shepard/Labrador mix for 14 years, and have been around multiple different breeds my entire life! My dog would even have health issues time to time (like seizures), so I am trained to be calm in those situations, especially because I’ve been a lifeguard for 3 years. I will be staying in Nevada for vacation for two weeks, and I would love to take care of your pet/pets during that time! Animals tend to bring out a calm, playful, loving, and utterly responsible side of me. I care for your pet/pets as if they are my own. Following after the well known phrase, I treat all beings in the same respect I would like to be treated. All animals deserve love, care, and understanding!
“We’ve had the pleasure of having Jean for drop in visits with our chihuahua for the past few months. So happy to have found her. These little dogs aren’t that easy but we feel very assured he is in good hands. Jean helps me navigate the rover app, is reliable and gets back to me promptly.”

“Madalyn has been absolutely amazing, she has been very responsive and helpful with my dog's needs. She's also been very flexible with any changes. She's been very responsible and we're happy to continue using her services anytime we travel”

“Deanna was very responsive and trustworthy. I was out of town longer than expected and she came to my home and spent some time with the kitties. I would definitely hire her again in the futire.”
“Megan is amazing! Silas is a high energy guy and she handled him beautifully. I especially liked her communication with me and felt very comfortable having her come into my home to take care of Silas.”

“Hayley took great care of our cat while we were away. Our cat hides when someone she doesn’t know well comes over, but Haley still did her best to comfort her without causing too much stress and rolled treats to her under the bed. Hayley is great at communicating and gave detailed feedback each day about how much our cat was eating, etc. She is compassionate and reliable. I highly recommend this wonderful, kind sitter.”

About: I have over 12 years of hands on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I provide feeding, walks, drop in visits, playtime, enrichment, and medication administration with patience and care. I grew up with two Dachshunds and two Border Collies, which gave me experience with both energetic working dogs and smaller companion breeds. I’ve cared for dogs ranging from pugs to Bernese Mountain Dogs, as well as young cats, senior cats, and foster cats preparing for their forever homes. What sets me apart is my calm, structured, and dependable approach. I understand how important routines are for pets and work hard to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m also clean, tidy, respectful in clients’ homes, and committed to providing trustworthy care you can rely on. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and maintaining consistent care schedules. I am a teacher with the summers off. I prioritize reliability, communication, and routine so pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I’m flexible with walks, drop ins, and feeding schedules. I make sure each pet gets individual attention, exercise, affection, and care based on their specific needs and energy level. I always prioritize safety, comfort, and consistency when caring for pets in a client’s home. I carefully follow feeding instructions, medication schedules, walking routines, and any household rules to keep pets comfortable. I pay close attention to pets’ behavior so I can respond calmly and appropriately to their needs. I keep homes clean and tidy, ensure doors and gates are secure. About: I’ve taken care of dogs for both family members and other clients for free, providing dog walking/sitting services for dogs ranging from Yorkies to Great Danes. I’m a huge dog lover who is willing to do anything necessary to keep them entertained and loved, whether that’s walking them for a mile at 2 am or cuddling with them as I sleep. I truly value the connection between humans and dogs, and even those who are more unfriendly are able to warm up to me quite rapidly. I’m very flexible overall and would accommodate any client needs! As a recent college graduate, I’m currently a door dasher and searching for part-time jobs, so I have a lot of flexibility to take care of pets and commit to pet sitting or walking. I’m open to any hours of the day including overnight care if necessary. I love giving pets the freedom to have fun and explore while maintaining discipline and good behavior. I enjoy walking dogs regularly and keeping them healthy through consistent exercise, and I also love cuddling with any pet and making sure they’re never bored or lonely. I’m a firm believer that a pet should never be locked in the same room all day, so I love constant movement and attention. Another priority of mine is pet safety and security, ensuring they aren’t in a stressful environment that reduces their happiness.

About: Hi! I’ve grown up with animals my whole life and truly understand how much they mean to a family. I had a dog growing up and have a cat from childhood into my twenties, so caring for pets has always been a part of my daily routine. From walks, playtime, and training reinforcement to litter care, feeding schedules, and lots of cuddles — I’m comfortable and confident with both dogs and cats. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m currently applying to graduate school for my Master’s in Nursing and working part-time, which has helped me become very organized, responsible, and mindful with my schedule. I plan my days carefully and make sure I have dedicated time set aside for pet visits, walks, feeding, and quality attention. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and spending time with pets is actually a great balance to my academic and work responsibilities. Whether it’s morning, afternoon, or evening care, I make sure each visit is unhurried, attentive, and focused on your pet’s safety and comfort. You can count on me to be dependable, communicative, and consistent with your pet’s routine. I’m very affectionate and love giving pets the attention they deserve, but I also prioritize safety above everything. I’m attentive to routines, careful with doors and leashes, mindful on walks, and respectful of any specific instructions you provide. I understand that every pet has their own personality and comfort level, and I always aim to create a calm, secure, and loving environment where they feel safe.

North Kingstown dog parents share their Rover experiences
Emily has been absolutely amazing with our dog, Howie. She is always timely, responsible, and incredibly thoughtful. Not only does she take such great care of Howie (who absolutely loves her), but she also goes above and beyond every visit. She cleans up his toys and somehow leaves the house looking even better than when she arrived. One thing I really appreciate is her communication. she always sends detailed updates after each drop-in so I know exactly how Howie is doing and if there’s anything I should know. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. Emily is reliable, caring, professional, and truly treats your pet and home with respect. I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation. 10/10, 5 stars all the way!
