“Kimberly is the best. Very glad I came across her profile. Being a nit picky first time dog owner, she is by far the best sitter I've had so far on the app. Hidden gem in Newport. Her house is very accommodating with a huge fenced in backyard for the dogs to run and play in. Her facilities are extremely clean and well kept. Top quality and highly professional. My dog did not want to leave and kept looking back at her place as we drove away. Will defininitely become a regular.”

“Kharma had such a great time at doggy daycare today! He got plenty of attention, lots of love, and had an absolute blast playing and enjoying his day. It’s clear he was well cared for and happy the entire time.”

“Bailey and her husband James took great care of our high energy aussie. He played with their dog Dax and came home nice and tired out. They also have a nice fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run around. Seamus did not want to leave.”

“Victoria graciously responded immediately to our last minute request. She was friendly, accommodating, and a great communicator. We will absolutely use her again to provide care for our little man.”

“we couldn't have asked for a better place to leave Ian. Brian was great with him and us. The home was ideal. There were several dogs already there when I dropped Ian off. He isn't used to being with other dogs. Nevertheless, he quickly found friends and when I left he was bounding up the stairs after a golden doodle. I felt very confident that Brian could and would ensure Ian's safety and comfort. I felt very lucky to have been able to leave Ian with Brian. We will be repeat customers”

About: I have had dogs all my life. I have taken care of all different breads and sizes. I can handle large/strong dogs as well as puppies that need extra attention. We have kids and our own dog (Beira, the Scottish Terrier) so I know how important good, easy care is. As well as patience and attention. I am available during most days for quick care and walks built around school and kid activities. I have my own car and can make the trips or even transport if needed. Overnight care can be discussed as I'm open to it under a week long. I am flexible enough to meet your pet care needs. Basic walks and play, feeding, medicine distribution, and anything else you need. I myself am active so playing isn't an issue or even giving baths.
“As always Leanne and Michael do an amazing job with Teddy. We have nothing to worry about when we leave him with them. She takes care of him like she does her own Bailey!”

“Connie was very attentive to Spring's need and took care of her nicely! Spring and Appollo played all day and Spring is now exhausted! Looking forward to using Connie for another doggie day care in future!!”

About: I'm a lifelong pet caregiver with over 10 years of daily, hands-on experience caring for dogs. From childhood, my home included dogs and cats. Caring for them has been part of my everyday life. Not just feeding and exercise, but understanding personalities, the importance of routines and individual needs. I'm the pet parent of 3 French Bulldogs whom I've raised from puppyhood. They are now 10 months, 10 years and my eldest just passed the 🌈 bridge. Raising them has given me extensive experience across all life stages. From energetic puppies to senior dogs requiring daily medications, extra patience and care. Because of this, I have advanced experience in the unique needs and care of brachycephalic breeds, including breathing and temperature sensitivities, appropriate exercise levels and age-related health needs. I work from home, which allows me to provide constant supervision (if necessary), flexibility and plenty of attention throughout the day. I'm available for dog walking, drop in visits, day care, and boarding. I'm comfortable following detailed care instructions, medication schedules, and specific routines. My own dogs require precise care plans, so I fully understand how important it is that your pet's instructions are followed exactly. Keeping your pet’s routine as close to how it is when they’re home with you is a priority for me. Following familiar routines helps alleviate their stress, build trust and ease into comfort while they are in my care. My dogs are friendly and accustomed to being around other pets. All of my dogs are intact, so I ask that owner's disclose whether their dogs are intact or in heat prior to booking. This allows me to thoughtfully plan and recommend the most appropriate service - such as visits to your home instead of boarding in mine - so everyone remains safe, comfortable and stress free. Pets in my home are welcome on furniture. I use careful management and positive handling techniques to ensure harmony when pets share space. I'm always mindful of body language and prioritize their safety and comfort. When your pet is in my care, you can expect regular photo updates and communication from arrival to departure so you always feel informed and reassured. I take pride in being attentive, reliable and genuinely invested in your pet's well-being! I work from home full-time, so my schedule is very flexible. I can take 2-3 breaks during the work day to walk your pet if they are staying with me, or stop by your home for potty and walk breaks. If they are staying with me for day care or boarding, I can meet your pet where they are in terms of potty, walk, and play breaks, as well as forced nap times, if necessary. I have several ways to manage the space in my home between pets, to ensure everyone is safe, comfortable and happy. I have 3 crates, baby gates, several pet beds and endless toys. Our yard has a fenced in area to ensure safe potty breaks.
“Natalie took good care of Miss Winnie. Winnie seemed to have lots of fun and was well taken care of and got a long very well with the other dogs in her care. Highly recommend Natalie.”

“Briana and her pack were welcoming and wonderful with my nine month old puppy, who is trying to learn how to play and socialize. Luna seems quite happy and tuckered out after a fun, first day! I am hoping tomorrow goes just as well or better!”

“Jessica was communicative and flexible and I feel so lucky we were able to book her on short notice, she really saved the day! Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in RI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
