“Hayley is amazing with our medium hound Marty! Super quick replies to booking requests and very communicative with texts and pictures. She takes such great care or our little guy.”

“Elizabeth was wonderful with our 2 boisterous dogs! They were very happy to have her mid-day attention while we were out. She was always ontime and the photos she always sent left a smile on my face knowing they weren't home alone all day and stuck inside. We will definitely be calling her in the future. She is very trustworthy and kind. A real dog-lover, skilled at handling big, boisterous dogs.”

“Mary was excellent! She took care of my two cats while we were on vacation for almost two weeks. She came over twice a day and provided updates and pictures of them everyday. I felt super at ease knowing they were in great hands while we were away. 10/10 would hire her again!”

“Yunshu was wonderful with our cats. One of them is very old and needs two meds plus prescription food but she handled it all with no problems. She was very communicative and sent lots of videos and pics. I'm so glad we found her! Yunshu is the best!”

“Emily was wonderful to our pets and home as always! I’m so glad we found her. Emily and her daughter take such great care of our dogs and cat, always going above and beyond to make sure they are happy, have ample opportunities to relieve themselves, and expend some energy. She gives us the most detailed notes afterwards, which help us catch up quickly and know what our dogs need for the rest of the day. She even found the Kongs I forgot to put out and stuffed them for the two dogs so they wouldn’t get bored in between walks. I really appreciated that. Every time we book Emily, we know that our pets are going to be loved and cared for, and she ALWAYS effortlessly finds a way to do a little (often a lot) more than we ask of her. Aside from the pets, she is also extremely respectful of our home and kind to our neighbors. Thank you Emily and please extend our thanks to your daughter. You two are the best and we can’t wait to book you again!”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of different personalities and energy levels, and I genuinely enjoy building trust with every pet I meet. Working in veterinary medicine has helped me stay calm, attentive and detail-oriented in fast-paced situations, while also teaching me how important patience and compassion are when caring for animals. I understand that every pet has their own routine and comfort level, and I always strive to make them feel safe, loved and stress-free while their owners are away. What sets me apart is my combination of professional animal care experience, reliability, and the genuine love and attention I give to every pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize. Since I have a flexible schedule, I’m able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to walks, playtime, feeding schedules, check-ins, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. For drop-in visits and walks, I focus on making pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. During visits, I make sure pets have fresh water, meals if needed, potty breaks, playtime, attention, and plenty of affection based on their personality and comfort level. On walks, I prioritize safety, exercise, and positive interaction while paying close attention to each dog’s pace and needs. I also make it a priority to keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident their pets are in good hands.

I Can crate dogs if needed, I won’t feed your pet anything unless okayed by owner first. I live to take pictures of animals so I can provide updates if needed. I enjoy walking and running with animals so if they need a walk outside or a ball thrown around a fenced yard I would be happy to do so.

“Georgia saved us when we needed a last minute sitter after our previously booked sitter cancelled morning of. She was quick to respond and was able to get to our house with only 1.5 hours notice. It seemed like our puppy had a good time with her and was well cared for during the hour drop in. Definitely will book again!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - North Kingstown
Mary was absolutely wonderful! She sent pictures and detailed updates every day which gave me so much peace of mind knowing my kitties were being well taken care of. She vacuumed up the litter around the litter around the litter box and made sure everything was nice and clean for our return. I would 100% recommend Mary!
Emily was very kind and thorough in following my numerous asks and the cats seemed to take right to her. I have an easy younger male cat (Grey) and an older female cat with medication requirements. Emily ensured all meds were delivered (topical ear cream, two pills, and an oral liquid medication) and I couldn’t have felt more secure while I was away for the weekend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
