About: My name is Maria! I have owned and cared for other fur babies for over 40 years. I am also a local business owner and swim coach looking to make some extra money for my many Disney trips! I am a business owner, so I can make my own schedule. This allows me to be flexible with my schedule, so that I can be there for your pet's needs! My standard services include visits in the morning, afternoon, and evening. I also offer overnight care and can be flexible with your schedule as things come up!
“Mackenzie is an amazing and dependable sitter. Highly recommend. Communicates quickly and easily. Does her best with my 2 little chis. Can count on her 100%. Thank you Mackenzie!”

“I was looking for some help with a very elderly kitty ~ so he really needs someone who can be very gentle with him, and at the same time very competent. Jessi is absolutely both. I would definitely call her again! Also, I had to search at the very last moment, which turned out to be no problem!”

“My kitty was quite elderly, with some special needs. So when I had a last-minute need for a drop-in visit, I wanted to be extra sure to find someone very reliable, willing to do meds, and very gentle with the kitty. Emily is all that, and more! I would happily call on her again.”

About: I have taken care of other peoples pets, although I have never had my own I will make sure to give your pet the best treatment. I love walking and exercising. I will make sure that your dog gets plenty of steps! I work a job either 8-4 or 9-5 I am flexible and get up early. I would take care of your pet before and after work I do not want pets in my home. I have roommates and I am not allowed to have them in my house but I am open to going to your house
About: I’m detail-oriented and observant—cats are subtle, and I notice the small things that matter. You’ll receive regular updates and photos, and I’ll flag anything unusual right away. Most importantly, I don’t force interaction. Whether your cat wants playtime, quiet companionship, or just someone reliable to keep their routine steady, I meet them where they are. I have full availability on weekends, which allows for extended visits, longer walks, playtime, and flexible scheduling. During the weekdays, I’m available in the mornings and evenings, making me a great fit for breakfast and dinner feedings, walks, medication schedules, and nighttime check-ins. Because I plan my day intentionally, I’m punctual, dependable, and able to stick closely to each pet’s normal routine—something that helps reduce stress, especially for cats, seniors, and pets who thrive on consistency. I care for pets by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible, whether they’re in my home or in a client’s home. I focus on consistency, safety, and individualized attention so pets stay comfortable and stress-free. In a client’s home, I follow all care instructions exactly—feeding schedules, walks, litter or potty routines, medications, and any house rules. I keep the environment clean and calm, make sure pets get appropriate exercise or playtime, and monitor their behavior, appetite, and overall wellbeing. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners know how their pet is doing. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and supervised environment with plenty of attention, structured play, and rest time. I introduce pets slowly if others are present, separate when needed, and adjust care based on age, energy level, and temperament. Across all services, I prioritize clear communication, attention to detail, and treating every pet as an individual—not a one-size-fits-all routine.
About: I have cared for cats and all sizes of dogs since I was young. I’ve been my neighbors’ go to for pet sitting and I enjoy every opportunity I get to spend with a new furry friend! I am a full time college student, however, my schedule is extremely flexible. I will always make your fur babies a priority and I can’t wait to meet them! My mornings are completely free as are Fridays, and I have early afternoons so your fur baby will get lots of attention and playtime! :) I can easily crate dogs if needed. I was raised with two dogs and a cat, and I have two cats at home, so I am familiar with all types of cat care as well as care for big dogs.
About: I grew up having dogs and cats and love them both. Taking care of them from kitten/puppyhood to the end of their life. This helped me to understand how their needs change with age. During my time living oversees I rescued several street animals and have brought 4 of them back here to the US. In caring for the animals of others while they are away I've learned how to gain their trust as the newcomer. Animals are a total joy. My primary secular work is from home and flexible, so I'm able to accommodate your schedule as needed. Pet care is scheduled regularly throughout my day and week. Since all pets and their owners are individuals I respect the routines already in place to the best of my ability. But I always spend time petting and playing with them rather than just doing the basics.
“I booked Nikolay to check in with my 2 cats and give one of them meds for a few days while I was away. During the meet and greet I was very happy to see that my cats LOVED him and he seemed very comfortable with them. He did a great job giving my cat his medicine and everything went great! I came home from my trip to 2 happy cats! I definitely recommend him and will definitely book again when I go out of town!”

“Colleen went above and beyond, taking my dog for a walk instead of just letting her out. She was very responsive, and provided plenty of photos and updates. Highly recommend and will be using her again!”

“Iris was awesome to work with! She is very detail oriented in letting you know what is going on with your fur babies. She sent several messages and pictures throughout the day to keep me in the loop. I would definitely recommend booking with Iris!”

“Kimberly did drop in visits on our dogs while we were visiting the area. She did an excellent job and sent me pictures of my pups. She was kind enough to allow me to reschedule a visit when I had a migraine headache. I would use her again and I highly recommend her!”

About: My 15 year old golden retriever passed away this past summer, and I am just looking for a way to fill the doggy shaped hole he left in my heart! I love dogs, and staying active so what better way to do both than dog walking/ sitting! I work full time in Providence commuting from Newport, so I’m available after 5pm for walks and visits. Perfect for anyone in need of evening care for their pups! I will stick closely to your pets usual routine so they feel comfortable. I follow all feeding, walking, and medication instructions exactly as given, and make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise based on their needs. I keep the home clean and respect the space, and I always send regular updates with photos so owners feel at ease while they’re away. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, happy, and cared for!

About: I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in Integrative Physiology with the dream of being a veterinarian. I have worked in the veterinary field for the past 6 years working in both small and large animal. Currently, I am a small animal veterinary technician so I'm comfortable caring for pets of all ages, including energetic puppies and senior pets who need a little extra attention. One of my strengths is reading animal body language, which helps me adjust my approach so pets feel comfortable and at ease. My goal is to make your pet feel like it’s just another normal day at home, keeping their routine consistent and their stress as low as possible while you're away. I treat every pet like my own and will make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. Plus, I'll keep you updated so you can always have peace of mind! I currently work in Westport, MA, and have a consistent work schedule with mostly longer shifts during the week (4x a week, usually 8-7pm). While I am working during the day, I am always home in the evenings and fully available for early morning and overnight care. On weekends, I typically work until 1 PM, which leaves me available for early morning (before 7am), afternoon, evening, and overnight pet care. I’m happy to work around schedules and communicate clearly to make sure your pets are always cared for reliably and on time. I provide care in my clients’ homes to ensure pets are most comfortable in their familiar environment. While I am not able to board animals in my own home, I am fully comfortable staying overnight at your home and have done so in the past. I prioritize maintaining your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, litter box care, playtime, and any medications if needed. I also make sure pets receive plenty of attention, companionship, and reassurance while you are away. I aim to keep things as stress-free as possible by following your instructions closely and maintaining a calm, consistent environment so your pets feel safe and at home.
“Chelsea was great with Freddie! Her comments were funny and definitely gave me a good idea about how loved he was while I was gone. The pics were cute, and I know big Fred was well taken care of. I would absolutely recommend Chelsea!”

About: I am a young, active professional working from home. I would love to bring my space and passion for exercise to your dogs. In between walks, my home will welcome any size pet with a large porch and open living area. Depending on your dog's eating habits, a typical day would wake up to breakfast, go for a nice walk to the backyard and/ or nearby park, be home for either play time or porch time, a midday walk is a must, and dinner too. A total of 4 walks, including before bed, are likely from my experience. On weekends I like to adventure to a nearby hike. Please let me know if your dog is car friendly! I welcome any special requests that you may have.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
