“I want Sharon to be my pups forever auntie. I have never boarded any of my dogs. I lost my boxer at the end of December 2002. I’ve always had dogs but as time passed I felt this sense of freedom that I’d never experienced before. I booked a 7 day trip to Nashville. I had no responsibilities so why not right? 3 months before the trip (November 4th 2023) I went to an adoption event and came home with a very scared Texas pup. Sharon took him several times before our trip so that he could get to know her. He is not easy to say the least. She was great with him. While we were away she sent me daily messages and pictures. She kept reassuring me that he was doing great and telling me to enjoy myself when I would tell her I couldn’t wait to get home to him. When we returned to get him he wanted to stay with her. Most people think I'm pretty, but you'd have to be the judge of that. My human mother (who I love dearly), is a bit over-protective (And that's putting it mildly.) I think "neurotic" would be a better word to describe her. She had a lot of anxiety about going on vacation and leaving me with a Cat Nanny. And I mean a LOT of anxiety. She was even driving my Dad crazy. Little did we know that things were about to change... when Kimberly came into our lives. Immediately we could tell she was a warm, kind person who genuinely loves animals. ~Kimberly took care of me and stayed overnight at my house. She fed me, gave me my meds and made sure my water bowls were clean and full. She took care of my litter box and kept it nice and clean, just the way I like it. She cuddled me and combed me the whole time. Boy, did I feel the love ! We also had a great time posing for all those photos we sent to Mom and Dad during the weekend. We even brought the mail in. ~But best of all, it was so nice having company at my house. When I woke up in the morning, Kimberly was there to give me my breakfast. And that's not an easy task because I have to eat very slowly due to my sensitive stomach. (Believe me, you don't want to see a cat lose her breakfast. It's not pretty.) But Kimberly was very patient and took good care of me. Ok, so I really need to apologize for getting her up, way too early in the morning, (Sorry Kimberly), but we did go back to sleep for a while. ~Now I don't want to hurt my Mom's feelings (I kind of missed her a little while she was away) but I sure had a lot of fun with Kimberly ! It was a great "Girls Weekend." And I just can't wait to see her again. In fact, both Mom and Dad were so delighted with Kimberly, that they are now planning their next vacation; a winter CRUISE. And the BEST PART?...I get to be with my new best friend, Kimberly. Bon Voyage, Mom and Dad! Have a great time !”

About: I have been a foster for Save-A-Lab animal rescue for many years, caring for puppies, young dogs, older dogs (and challenging dogs) in my home for days/weeks/months at a time. I have two of my own dogs (10yo Lab/hound mix and 2yo Lab/Great Dane mix) that get on well with other animals and welcome them into our home. I have older children (age range 16-23) who also love dogs/animals and are very helpful when we have them in our home - helping to socialize, walk, feed and train them. About: Since 2010 I learned to care for neighborhood pet friends so I could prove that I can have my own dog. From that I got my own baby boy and have spent 12 lovely years with him, but unfortunately he's out of state with his grandparents now. I miss him so much and would love to transfer all that energy to your loved one :) I'm currently working part time, so I have plenty of free time to spend a couple hours with your baby and take them for a nice, long walk and play with them :) whatever they need, I'd love to do! “Lisa is a very kind, gentle person who we hired to walk our dog, Rico, 5x (30 min ea walk) during our honeymoon. When we got the first couple of doggie report cards, Lisa had only walked rico 0.5ish miles. I was disappointed because I had hoped a 30 min walk would be closer to 1.5 miles. I spoke with Lisa about this and his next walks were 1 mile. It may be my own fault for not specifying that I wanted the emphasis of her 30min time blocks to be actually walking, vs playing with toys or brushing him, which are perfectly nice things to do but not for such a high energy dog like ours. Overall, our dog is alive and happy. Lisa fed our cat for free and helped coordinate visits/feedings with my family, who was also helping care for the pets. Some of the report cards showed that Lisa had spent 45 mins with Rico while only being payed for the 30, which I thought was very generous.”

“I want Sharon to be my pups forever auntie. I have never boarded any of my dogs. I lost my boxer at the end of December 2002. I’ve always had dogs but as time passed I felt this sense of freedom that I’d never experienced before. I booked a 7 day trip to Nashville. I had no responsibilities so why not right? 3 months before the trip (November 4th 2023) I went to an adoption event and came home with a very scared Texas pup. Sharon took him several times before our trip so that he could get to know her. He is not easy to say the least. She was great with him. While we were away she sent me daily messages and pictures. She kept reassuring me that he was doing great and telling me to enjoy myself when I would tell her I couldn’t wait to get home to him. When we returned to get him he wanted to stay with her. When we got outside to leave he ran back inside with her. Sharon had big smile she again reassured me that it happens sometimes.
