“Erica, again, took wonderful care of Sully. He comes home happy, tired from romping with his friends and no whining. He ate well, also. We will continue to use Erica’s sitting service whenever she is available. Thank you!”

“Natalia gave great care to our dog for the long stay he had with her and their lovely Corgie Archie at their home. We got pictures nearly every day and she was responsive as needed. If you are looking to have your dog have good companionship they are a good choice.”

“Carrie was wonderful, our dog Dixie, had a great time. It was a great comfort to know she was safe and happy. Lots of pupdates and pictures to assure us. I would definitely take Dixie to stay Carrie again”

“Tara was an amazing sitter for our dog Luna! She was easy to schedule with and sent photo/status updates throughout the stay. We would definitely have her sit Luna for us again and would recommend her to others!”

“So thankful for Ashley and John!! They took amazing care of our puppy while away and we’re so flexible when our flights were cancelled and we had to add extra time. Thank you!!!”

“Christina was the best Rover we have ever had! We felt so comfortable leaving Bo with Christina while we were traveling overseas. We received daily updates and Bo looked like he was living his best life and getting plenty of exercise. As soon as we got home, Bo slept all day!! Will definitely be bringing Bo back!”

About: I have taken care of other peoples pets, although I have never had my own I will make sure to give your pet the best treatment. I love walking and exercising. I will make sure that your dog gets plenty of steps! I work a job either 8-4 or 9-5 I am flexible and get up early. I would take care of your pet before and after work I do not want pets in my home. I have roommates and I am not allowed to have them in my house but I am open to going to your house
About: I have had dogs all my life. I have taken care of all different breads and sizes. I can handle large/strong dogs as well as puppies that need extra attention. We have kids and our own dog (Beira, the Scottish Terrier) so I know how important good, easy care is. As well as patience and attention. I am available during most days for quick care and walks built around school and kid activities. I have my own car and can make the trips or even transport if needed. Overnight care can be discussed as I'm open to it under a week long. I am flexible enough to meet your pet care needs. Basic walks and play, feeding, medicine distribution, and anything else you need. I myself am active so playing isn't an issue or even giving baths.
“This is our second time with Jessica and it was just as good as the first! She took excellent care of my chachi and made me aware of a potential issue when his water intake was a little low which I greatly appreciated. She is my go to when I need coverage.”

“Eve maintained great communication throughout our pup's stay, really gave us a peace of mind. Well kept grounds and clean household. Her own dogs are friendly and kept our dog busy. We are so lucky to have found her. 100% recommend.”

“THE BEST...... Kyleigh is by far the most attentive pet friend that our dog "Ollie" has ever had the pleasure of being with. We received photos and videos everyday while we were away. So spoiled he was with treats, playtime, and snuggles, that I wasn't sure he would want to come home 😊. If you want the best in care for your family pet, we found it with Kyleigh. Thank you so much!”

“I could immediately tell that my dog settled in for her stay easily. I loved the updates, and working with them was super easy. I hope to use their services again in the future.”

“Caley had a rough start to the week. She's getting older, and requires more attention. Celina kept us in the loop, but we thought we might have to come home. We and Celina came up with a plan that allowed us to stay on vacation, and Celina handled Caley like a pro! We appreciate that so much! Sorry for the sleepless nights.”

“Paige is friendly, professional and her lovely home is set up perfectly for pet sitting. She sent me daily updates including pictures of her kids loving up my precious pup. And while he didn't leave the house for walks, she has an adequate fenced in yard and he was able to come in and out of the house freely. I felt completely at ease knowing that he was well taken care of since she has 4 children who were all respectful and great kids!”

“John is a present, focused sitter that I quickly came to trust with my high energy, Raphael. I appreciate him being available at the last minute to take him on during a holiday weekend! He was a great sitter!”

“Mariah is an amazing dog sitter. She sent pics of Bernie relaxing and playing and sent them throughout the week he stayed with her. I was completely relaxed knowing he was in such great care. Thanks again Mariah!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Middletown
My goldendoodle Lola stayed with Kimberly last week. I received photos and videos every day which made me so happy to see that Lola was having such fun. Kimberly took the time to reassure me that everything was going great. Lola was very well cared for, played with, held and even brushed while she was there. Overall, a wonderful experience! Thank you so much Kimberly!

Jennifer was a wonderful sitter for Leo! ♥️ Leo is often a little restless his first night away from us, and Jennifer slept with Leo on the couch to calm him down. She was also very responsive and communicative — we appreciated all the updates and photos. We are grateful Jennifer took such good care of Leo so that we could take a trip to visit one of our (human) sons! ☺️☺️

I’m new to the Newport area & finding Kyoka was such a relief. She took such great care of my girl, Sunny while I was away on a business trip! Kyoka sent such sweet pictures and updates on how she was doing. I was able to relax knowing Sunny was safe & having so much fun during her boarding stay 🩶

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in RI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
