Loving family ready for your pet!
We have been together for more than 5 years and share our home with beloved pets. Growing up, Dirk was a vet tech, and his mother, a veterinarian, raised over 15 animals. Mari grew up with a sweet Yorkie. Thanks to our backgrounds, we have extensive experience with pets. To us, pets are more than just animals—they are our children. We will always treat your furry family members with the exact same love and respect that we show our own. While we are currently experiencing an empty nest and missing that daily companionship, we would love the opportunity to care for your pets, meet your needs, and share our love. I am her family member/ husband but I will say there is no one more caring than her when it comes to pets. Any animal in our home is like family and we truly believe that. My mother is a veterinarian so if we have any issues we can always reach out. Our pets passed not to long ago and we are not ready for permanent replacements but would love to spoil those in our care in the meantime.

Schedule
Our family is ready to welcome your pet! Dirk is a student at the Naval War College with a very flexible schedule. Our 15-year-old son is in high school and always up for an adventure, while Mari is a stay-at-home mom from Japan who has plenty of time to dedicate to your pet's needs. Because we all love animals, pet care will be a true family team effort! Dirk loves to give plenty of affection, but he is also happy to play rough-and-tumble if your dog prefers active play.

Our home features a fully enclosed, 1/3-acre backyard where dogs can safely enjoy fresh air and playtime. We also have access to great nearby walking areas for pets who love to get out and explore. Our family can easily adapt to various activity levels, personalities, and daily routines.
A typical day
We love providing both physical and mental stimulation for your pets. We will take walks through our neighborhood as well as to nearby parks and trails. We also love playing in our backyard and snuggling on the couch together.
