About: I’ve been a pet mom for 26 years, and animals have been part of my life since I was a kid. I raised Remi from 8 weeks old, so I’ve been through the puppy stage, training, the teenage years and all the fun that comes with raising a dog. My previous dog lived to 10½ before we lost him to cancer, so I’ve also experienced caring for a dog through his senior years, including giving him allergy shots via syringe. I’m comfortable with dogs of different ages, personalities and energy levels, and I understand that every pet has their own routine and quirks. I’m especially good with pets who need a little patience and attention to feel comfortable with someone new. I’m happy to follow their normal routines, whether that means a long walk and lots of playtime or a slower pace with an older dog. And yes, I’m perfectly happy to spend part of a visit sitting on the floor giving belly rubs. I also have a soft spot for cats and would love to do drop-in visits for them. I’ve had cats throughout my life, so I understand that with cats, sometimes the best care is knowing when they want attention...and when they would prefer you pretend you don't exist. I work from home, so my schedule is flexible and pet sitting at my home is easy to accommodate. I can work around your pet’s routine and am available for walks, drop-ins and sitting. Pets staying with me will have plenty of company throughout the day rather than being left alone for hours. For stays in my home, your dog would need to be comfortable around my dog, Remi. I’m also happy to care for pets in their own home when that’s a better fit. I’m a little obsessed with making sure doors, gates and anything else a pet could get through are properly secured — if I do it at my own house, I’ll do the same at yours. I’ll follow your instructions and your pet’s normal routine, including feeding, medications and any special needs. I’m also careful about leashes, introductions and anything else that helps keep your pet safe and comfortable. And of course, I’m happy to send photos and updates so you know how things are going while you’re away.
