“she was absolutely amazing! gave us updates daily on our cat Drax while we were away! she was so sweet aswell and let us ask all the questions so we felt comfortable. she took excellent care of him aswell!!!!”

About: I love dogs and I’ve had a dog since I was two years old so most of my life I’ve had dogs and I’ve like had experience with them I have a dog myself, so I’m able to take care of a dog very easily. I have to wake up early for my dog so that won’t be an issue taking care of another dog. I’ll make sure I always keep an eye on the dog that I am watching over. Take them out for a walk and also keeping an eye on the dog and giving them attention. Just always make sure you’re aware of your environment.
“Alena and her husband were amazing dog sitters to our little puppy! He adjusted SO WELL with them and with May. They took such good care of him for two days and updated us daily with lots of videos and pictures, not to mention Alena went above & beyond to make sure we felt comfortable prior to actually dropping him off. We’ll definitely be using them to dog sit in the future! They were amazing!”

“Giovanni was very professional and he has a very loving home. His own pets are well cared for. He even has a 19 year old poodle mix! It’s a real testament to the TLC in the house that can bring a dog into his 19th year of life. Giovanni and my dog were fast friends and I look forward to working with him again soon.”

“I can tell by how eager Splash is when she gets out of the car that she loves vacationing with Sergio. My girl is an abandoned rescue with lots of anxiety but loves hanging out with Sergio. Thank you so much!”

About: I have done dog walking/sitting for the past ten years but am new to rover since moving to the Norwood. I am a full time accountant who recharges her batteries by hanging with animals! I work from home most days and have flexible hours so I am able to care for any animals easily. I go on runs daily so I especially love walking high energy dogs who would love to run with me but I can accommodate to any dogs activity level. This is truly a passion of mine and just something I love doing. I cannot wait to meet all my new clients and their beautiful baby’s! 🫶🏼 I currently work full time but I work from home so I am always around to care for any animals and have very flexible hours. I am not able to board due to my apartment not allowing dogs but I do house sitting. I am happy to come to you and watch your dog/cat whenever you need it!
“This is the first time Mimi stayed with Ty and her family. Mimi seemed to settle in easily with the family. It is a bonus that she had the chance to spend time with Ty’s two children. All were kind and loving with her. I appreciated the daily updates and photos from Ty. Mimi is home sleeping on the sofa next to me. I would not hesitate to leave Mimi with Ty and her family, again.”

“Donald did a wonderful job taking care of our dog! He was responsible, attentive, and clearly loves animals. Our dog was happy, well-fed, and relaxed when we got back — a true sign that he was in great hands. Donald kept us updated with pictures and messages, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We’re so grateful for his care and would absolutely trust him to watch our dog again. Highly recommend! 🐾”

“Rebekah was incredible with our Bella. She sent updates, took extremely good care of her, and made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Our Bella was just a puppy (and was in heat for the first time), and Rebekah took every step necessary to take care of her and make sure she was taken care of. Will definitely use her again!”

“Taylor and Tyler took amazing care of our dog Darcy! She had a lot of fun, and was in high spirits at pickup time. It was also really nice to get updates and photos from Taylor & Tyler during her stay. We'll definitely be back next time we're visiting the area. Thanks!”

“Devorat was wonderful in every way - she's a sweetheart and kept in touchwith texts, photos and videos and I could see my pup was so happy with her and the other dogs!”

“Karen was absolutely amazing with our dog daisy! She kept me updated with pictures and videos multiple times a day! Our flight home was cancelled and we ended up having a 5 hour delay to get back and she was very understanding and loving! Would definitely recommend her! Her 2 dogs were amazing with daisy also :)”

“I can’t speak highly enough of the care Amy and Jon provided to my pup. I have a 4 month old pup that I was extremely apprehensive to leave for a week. Amy and Job took care of my little guy like he was part of their family. They were open with communication right from our meet and greet. Amy sent daily photo updates and I could see how happy my pup was in their home. Could not recommend them enough!”

“Poppy had a wonderful weekend stay with Robert! He was so kind and attentive and shared lots of pictures and updates while we were away. We will happily send Poppy back for future stays with Robert!”

“I am so lucky to have found Rebecca, especially on such short notice. I was very nervous to leave my dog Cosmo for a family vacation, but she put my mind at ease right away. Cosmo can be a bit difficult and high maintenance, but Rebecca was willing to work with him and I couldn't have asked for a more patient and knowledgeable sitter for him. Thank you so much, Rebecca!”

“I can’t say enough great things about Armitage. They take such amazing care of Kharma every single time. Even when Kharma had to stay really late, they were incredibly accommodating and made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. It truly gives me peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. At this point, Armitage is the first sitter I call every time without hesitation. I honestly wouldn’t trust anyone else with Kharma. The level of care, consistency, and genuine love they show means everything to me.”

“Fantastic dog sitter! She is compassionate and takes fantastic care of your pet. My dog was happy and comfortable the entire time she was away and the level of care is even better than a professional facility. She even sends daily pictures and videos and that is great when missing your pup. Next time I need to leave my dog I will definitely be sending her back over Nathalias!!”
“Amanda was awesome! She took great care of our furry one while we were on vacation. Amanda was super attentive to all of his needs. We will definitely book with Amanda again in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Somerset
We can’t say enough good things about Ashley & Nick! They watched our mini Bernedoodle for 6 days and we have never experienced such great Rover sitters. Oliver is part of our family and it means so much to us that he was treated the same way with Ashley & Nick. We would highly recommend them as your next sitters.

I have 2 senior dogs with a few health issues, one is diabetic and blind, so I am hesitant on leaving them with anyone. But Amanda was amazing! She took great care of them and sent me pictures and updates daily, as well as quick communication whenever I reached out. 10/10 recommend .. and I would absolutely use her again to watch my babies!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
