“I had a last minute emergency and Erica came through for us. Very kind and loving family. It is obvious how much affection they have for animals. Daisy did great and I never worried about her for a moment. It was a good experience for us.”

“Amy and Jonathan took wonderful care of my dogs. Sent me updates and pictures daily. I would 100% recommend them. Definitely book with them again. A million thanks 😊 to Amy!”

About: Hi! I’m Kristyn — lifelong dog lover and proud pup‑obsessed human. I’ve had dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always been one of the happiest parts of my day. I’m newer to official dog sitting, but giving dogs attention, comfort, and a sense of safety is something that comes naturally to me. Whether it’s playtime, snuggles, walks, or just being a calm presence, I love meeting dogs exactly where they are and making sure they feel at home. I treat every pup like my own, and I’m all about creating a fun, loving, low‑stress experience for both dogs and their humans. If your dog loves affection, routine, and a sitter who genuinely enjoys their company, we’ll be a great match. Dog sitting fits naturally into my routine because caring for dogs is already a big part of my everyday life—I have a dog of my own, so I’m used to building my day around walks, attention, and companionship. I work full‑time, but I offer sitting during the times when I can be fully present, like my work‑from‑home days, weekends, vacation weeks, and days off. Those are the moments when I can give dogs the consistency and care they deserve. I’m also open to weekend and extended stays when my schedule allows. My goal is always to make sure every pup feels safe, loved, and well‑looked‑after while they’re with me. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. We have a fully fenced‑in yard that gives dogs plenty of safe space to run, sniff, and explore. Our dog Sammy is super‑friendly. She absolutely loves people, kids, and especially other dogs—she’s a great built‑in playmate for visiting pups. I have two kids (11 & 14) who adore helping with walks, playtime, and giving gentle attention, so dogs get lots of love and interaction throughout the day.
“Well organized. She knows how to do the job well. We wanted to try leaving our Gracie at the her house because we might need it as an option. We will prefer house sitting and she knows that.”

“Cherylee and Steven are great dog sitters! My dog is a slow to warm type and they were able to get her comfortable and eating quickly during her stay. They were also communicative and kept me up to date with how my dog is doing. I greatly recommend Cherylee and Steven!”

“Jenna and Micheal were phenomenal! They took great care of my Mia! She had a built-in playmate with their dog Chase…Jenna and Mike sent photos and videos of the dogs playing, Mia had the biggest smile, I could tell she was happy! Great communication and very accommodating, I can’t say enough good things about them! I am definitely going to use them again as I’m sure Mia would love it!”

“Donald did a wonderful job taking care of our dog! He was responsible, attentive, and clearly loves animals. Our dog was happy, well-fed, and relaxed when we got back — a true sign that he was in great hands. Donald kept us updated with pictures and messages, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We’re so grateful for his care and would absolutely trust him to watch our dog again. Highly recommend! 🐾”

“Taylor and Tyler took amazing care of our dog Darcy! She had a lot of fun, and was in high spirits at pickup time. It was also really nice to get updates and photos from Taylor & Tyler during her stay. We'll definitely be back next time we're visiting the area. Thanks!”

“Mary and her family took great care of my dog Rory and provided pictures throughout the weekend. Rory was exhausted from playing with the kids, and she slept the whole next day after I picked her up. I will definitely ask Mary to watch Rory again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Somerset
We can’t say enough good things about Ashley & Nick! They watched our mini Bernedoodle for 6 days and we have never experienced such great Rover sitters. Oliver is part of our family and it means so much to us that he was treated the same way with Ashley & Nick. We would highly recommend them as your next sitters.

I have 2 senior dogs with a few health issues, one is diabetic and blind, so I am hesitant on leaving them with anyone. But Amanda was amazing! She took great care of them and sent me pictures and updates daily, as well as quick communication whenever I reached out. 10/10 recommend .. and I would absolutely use her again to watch my babies!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
