I've grown up with dogs as a child, but I did not start my real dog journey until 2010 when I picked up my first puppy (fur baby :), Ginger - a sweet and sassy fawn Bouvier des Flanders. I did everything from puppy classes, potty training, command/skill training, socializing, and even had her train to be a hospital therapy dog. She traveled with me to live in Japan and Italy. Sadly, Ginger passed in 2022. Two years later, I am on my second puppy (fur baby :) adventure with Sunshine (aka Sunny) - a sweet and sassy fawn Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Sunny and I love going to dog friendly beaches, taking road trips, exploring nature on hikes, going to the dog park, and playing with my two children. Since being around dogs my entire life and having raised one dog from puppyhood to seniority (and raising a second puppy), I understand the needs dogs have at the different stages of their lives: consistent potty schedule - check; administering both dry and liquid meds (in and on various body parts) - check; safe and nurturing environment - check; body and mind exercising - check; and many, many more.

Loved Melissa! Very gentle, kind and loving. She shared lots of pics of Sandy enjoying walks, playtime and belly rubs. She has a little Corgi named Sunshine and the dogs enjoyed each others company. We hope to use Melissa again when we’re in the area. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had a great experience! Mochi and Tootsie had so much fun during their stay. She kept me updated the entire time with pictures and messages, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. I loved seeing all the activities they got to do, including going to a soccer game and even getting some Pollo! It was clear that my dogs were well cared for, happy, and treated like part of the family. I would definitely trust her with my pups again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter. 🐾💕
Melissa was awesome always updating me about mickey . She made him feel comfortable and even thought he had a few accidents she was very understanding and respectful. I highly recommend her and will definitely book her again. Thank you Melissa you were amazing
We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! Melissa was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared for Oakley as if he was her own. She kept us updated with messages and photos, which we really appreciated. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!
I was so glad Melissa was able to take care of Piper. She sent me pictures. Having her in a home is important to me.
Melissa was great! She was so accomodating to both me and my dog; she was ok with a last-minute booking change, and Casey proved to be a little more challenging for her than we expected. She gave him great accomodations and loving care, and communicated with me throughout his stay. It was my first time boarding any of my pets, and I'm so glad we were able to have Melissa take care of him because it worked out perfectly!! We will definitely contact her for any future boarding needs.

Schedule
I work full time as an educator in a local school district. My day usually ends around 3pm. Currently, I am available on weekends only (Friday afternoon to Sunday night). However, depending on my family plans, school holidays could also be available. My schedule will also open up during summer break.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a small condo community with a large shared green space across from the building for toileting needs and exercise. However, all dogs will remain on leash since the area is not fenced. The surrounding neighborhood allows for easy street walking. If a dog is comfortable riding in a car, then we can go to local dog parks, local hiking areas, and beaches. My own dog uses a crate when I am out of the house, but sleeps out of the crate at night. I can accommodate dogs who need to be crated at night. We are five minutes from our town vet in case of an emergency. My home does have stairs to the second floor, but the stairs are carpeted. Sleeping arrangements can be modified if a dog is unable to climb the stairs. Also, I am comfortable administering any medications necessary.

My own dogs has lots of dog toys at my home, we go for daily walks or to the dog park, and of course there is always a lot of attention and affection.
