“Laura is awesome! She took the time to meet with us prior to the visit and I knew she would be a perfect match for our two cats, Poppy and Noodle. She played with Poppy who looked to be having fun and was playful with Laura. Laura found the shy Noodle in her hiding spot and snapped a photo. The second day Noodle was out of hiding a little, which gave the chance for another photo but more importantly, showed me that even shy Noodle was comfortable with Laura, which is remarkable! Laura was thorough with her report and a very kind persisted. We appreciate her and will welcome her back!”

“Sarah took great care of my 9 month old puppy! They played and took care of business and it put my mind at ease while I was away. Sarah also took extra steps to ensure my home was secure and safe until I could return. I highly recommend her services!”

“Liz took exceptional care of my two kitties while I was away on a week-long vacation. She came over daily to give them both wet food, clean their litter boxes, and give my problem child cat his daily dose of miralax. 😀 I feel it’s important to note that my cats are not simple creatures. One of them eats too fast and needs his wet food served on a puzzle feeder. The other one eats too slow and will walk away from his food unless someone is holding his plate while he eats. Liz followed all directions (no matter how ridiculous the request) and more importantly, she didn’t make me feel silly for asking. Liz is reliable, so warm and friendly, and gentle with animals. I came home to happy, well cared for fur babies (who are probably wondering when they will see their new friend next) I will be rebooking and absolutely recommend her to others!”

“Michael Anthony was wonderful with our dog, Honey Bear. She was very happy and connect when we returned after 7 hours away. Michael stopped by twice which was perfect. We will definitely book another day with Michael Anthony.”

“Haley was great with our cats! We have some quirky cats who need different kinds of care and she was able to accommodate each of them. She provided detailed notes and lots of pictures during her stay, which we loved. Would certainly rebook with Haley!”

“Justin has been a lifesaver for us! He is so good with our girls and they look so happy when I see the pictures. He takes them for amazing walks and throws the ball endlessly for them. He communicates wonderfully and gives our girls lots of love and attentions(pets).”

“Skyler was amazing with my dogs, Harley and Isla! She kept me updated, gave them so much love, and handled a short notice request. I came home to two happy, relaxed pups… couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommend!”

“Elizabeth was great! Very attentive and communicative throughout the stay. She came to spend some time and care for my cat just after we said goodbye to our other cat earlier that weekend. She was very empathetic and kind to our situation. I’ve had so many issues with finding quality care through rover, and it was such a relief to find someone who I can trust in. Will definitely be booking with her again in the future. Thanks, Elizabeth!”

“Alexander has been great with my RR’s. They are a handful and large and he is patient. He has been reliable over multiple visits and I don’t hesitate to recommend him.”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with both dogs and cats, along with my ability to adapt care to each pet’s unique needs. I grew up around animals and have hands-on experience with senior pet care, including administering medications and supporting pets with mobility issues. I’m patient, attentive, and comfortable adjusting routines to keep older pets safe and comfortable. I also work well with younger, more energetic dogs. I enjoy playtime and exercise, and I have a fenced-in backyard that’s great for games like fetch, as well as a walkable neighborhood for regular walks and enrichment. My home environment is another advantage—I offer a calm, quiet space that’s especially well-suited for pets who need lower stimulation or a more relaxed setting. While I do have three cats, I’m experienced in managing introductions and can easily separate spaces when needed. I’m happy to work with dogs who are cat-friendly or those who simply need a thoughtful, structured environment to feel at ease. Overall, I aim to provide a safe, flexible, and comfortable experience tailored to each pet’s personality and needs. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine, and because I work from home, I’m able to be present and attentive throughout the day. I’m used to planning my schedule around feeding times, walks, play, and check-ins, so adding additional pets fits in seamlessly. I build in time for both structured care—like walks, meals, and medications—and more flexible time for attention, enrichment, and companionship. Because I value a calm, consistent environment, I’m intentional about maintaining routines that help pets feel secure and comfortable. Whether it’s daily walks, backyard play, or quiet downtime, I make sure each pet gets the care and attention they need. When boarding dogs in my home, I treat each pet like a member of my family, providing a safe, comfortable, and structured environment. I maintain regular feeding schedules, offer plenty of exercise and playtime in my fenced backyard, and take dogs on walks around my walkable neighborhood. I also provide attention and companionship throughout the day to keep pets happy and engaged. For dogs with special needs, I can administer medications, accommodate mobility issues, and create a calm, low-stimulation space if needed. My home is set up so pets can interact safely with my three cats or have separate areas if they prefer. Overall, I focus on creating a routine and environment that helps every dog feel secure, comfortable, and loved while their family is away.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs in some aspect my entire life. From walking, to house sitting, to bathing, if any friend or family member needed their doggo taken care of, I was the girl for the job! I am very good with all kinds of dogs at any stage of their life, as I have been dog sitting for various clients for the last 4-years, both on and off Rover. I’m currently a Ph.D student at MSU, so I’m super flexible when it comes to working around clients schedules. I have in person classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in the AM and early afternoon, but other than that, I am happy to spend my free time with pups! I always make sure to follow the parent of the fur baby I’m walking or house sitting to ensure that the experience for both the parent and the pup is a pleasing one.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Lansing
Megan was an absolute gem of a pet sitter. I have never felt so confident leaving my pets while traveling out of the country with someone. She answered all my questions, kept me updated on any health changes and stayed the full 30 minutes each time. She was so good, I’m booking her again for all my other trips because I know I’ll have someone who cares as much about my babies as I do watching them. I couldn’t ask for someone better.

Elizabeth was so patient with our Jack but by the end of the time he was sitting on her lap and letting her feed him from churru tubes. She worked hard to earn his trust which made a long trip successful for everyone. She also graciously put our trash and recycling bins out and away on our trash days plus made sure to bring in packages that kept being delivered after our wedding. She was super communicative, sent a few videos of Jack with his new found love of cat tv and made us feel very secure leaving our baby for a longer period of time. Highly recommend!

Kaitlyn did an amazing job looking after our two cats while we were on a 10-day vacation! She was responsive and thorough in her daily report cards, which was so nice to read while we were gone. She even got our very stranger-averse cat to come around, which never happens. We will absolutely be hiring her again in the future! Couldn't have asked for more.

I’ve been using Denni for a year since I travel pretty regularly for work. She’s nothing short of amazing. Lots of good updates, she clearly spends a lot of time loving on them and she makes my life so much less stressful knowing she’s watching them while I’m gone. Can’t recommend her highly enough!

Michael is seriously awesome. From the moment he walked in for the meet & greet, it was obvious I’d made the right choice! He was so comfortable, caring, and loving towards my teenage kitten right away and it made me feel so at ease leaving her in his hands for a few days!! Even when there was a mix up with access to the house, Michael was so proactive, attentive, and flexible! I was beyond grateful. I seriously cannot recommend him enough as a pet sitter and all around wonderful human!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
