“Emily was so good to our pets. She kept me updated on all concerns and questions. We will definitely use Emily again. Our boys were in great shape when we got home!! Thanks Emily!”

“Karen is a wonderful cat sitter! She was dependable, kind, and super comfortable caring for my cats. She also sent lots of pictures while I was away, which really put me at ease, and my cats looked happy in every update. Karen followed instructions carefully and made sure everything stayed clean and comfortable for them. I would absolutely trust Karen to watch my cats again!”

“This is the 3rd time Sarah has helped me with my puppy and she's been great every time. Even on short notice, she was ready and willing to step up. Would highly recommend.”

“Kate is a wonderful pet sitter. Our cat is notoriously shy around other people, but she always makes him feel comfortable and cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook her for any upcoming events away we may have in the future.”

“Our booking was awesome! Tracey cared for our animals as if they were her own and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of while we were away! Definitely recommend!”

“We had a short notice trip and thankfully we're able to find Anthony available. After a meet and greet with our 2 adult dogs and 1 puppy we knew it would go well. Even our puppy who is a little hesitant of new people loved him immediately. Anthony did good with sending pictures, keeping the house clean, and making sure to send updates.”

“Susan was amazing! She dropped in on my two kitties while I was on vacation, and sent me pictures and updates every day so I barely felt like I was missing them. I will definitely be re-booking next time I'm away!”

“Justin has been a lifesaver for us! He is so good with our girls and they look so happy when I see the pictures. He takes them for amazing walks and throws the ball endlessly for them. He communicates wonderfully and gives our girls lots of love and attentions(pets).”

About: I have over 12 years of professional animal care along with being fear free certified under my belt. Between being an animal behavior specialist, a farm hand, and now a pet care specialist. I work well with reactive dogs and understand their behavior. I am patient and understanding of nervous or scared animals, and am more than happy to take the time they may need to warm up! I have a true passion and love for all animals. I promise to take great care of your furry friend. My weekly schedule is not set but I can be flexible and am willing to work with your schedule! I am always available 6:00-7:00am and 8:00-10:00pm When going on walks, I will always have a treat pouch, slip lead, and spray shield (dog repellent) on my person to ensure the safest walk your dog has ever been on!
“Kaitlyn did an amazing job looking after our two cats while we were on a 10-day vacation! She was responsive and thorough in her daily report cards, which was so nice to read while we were gone. She even got our very stranger-averse cat to come around, which never happens. We will absolutely be hiring her again in the future! Couldn't have asked for more.”

“Wonderful and thorough care. I never worried about my boy while gone for a week. She anticipated needs even I did not (full litter box change) and went above and beyond in other ways as well. She sends lots of updates which was a comfort while away. She cared for my boy cat Zissou as if her own. 1000% recommend! She will be who I use for any future needs.”

About: I have grown up with dogs. I am excellent at following any instructions that you may have. I am looking forward to working with you and your pet! I am a stay at home mom! I take care of my two young boys and my dog, a Golden Retriever, every day. I have a consistent routine with each. Leaving me with written instructions helps me so much! About: I've been caring for dogs my entire highschool career and I'm keeping it going while I'm in college. I have cared for big, small, older, and special need dogs. I can handle any challenge the pet may bring. I grew up with cats, dogs, fishes, and Axolotls, always at least 4 animals in the house at one time! I'm at school from 8:10am-11:30am On Monday-Thursday with plenty of time for check ins morning, afternoon, and evening. I am often busy on Fridays during the spring and fall but my weekends are completely open! I am familiar with care for all types of dogs and their quirks, I give frequent walks, make sure food and water is available, and play with them. I like to provide as much comfort as I can to pets that miss their owners.
About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats throughout my life, both as a pet owner and for friends and family who have trusted me with their pets. I also have experience volunteering at the Humane Society, where I walked, fed, and cared for dogs of all different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I currently have a dog, Olive, and a cat, Kirby, of my own. Olive can be anxious around new people, so I understand the importance of being patient and allowing pets to warm up at their own pace. Kirby is an indoor/outdoor cat, so I’m also very comfortable caring for cats with different routines and personalities. I have experience caring for pets with medical needs as well. One of my family dogs requires daily medication, which I have administered regularly. I also grew up with two cats who required daily medications and subcutaneous fluids, so I’m comfortable following specific care instructions and medication schedules. Having pets of my own, I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for them while you’re away. I’ll treat your pets with the same patience, attention, and care that I give my own. I’m currently an Emergency Medicine resident, so my schedule varies from week to week. I work a mix of days, evenings, nights, and weekends, but I receive my schedule in advance and only accept bookings that I know I can accommodate. Because my work hours can vary, I’m happy to discuss your pet’s usual routine and how long they’re comfortable being alone before booking to make sure I’m a good fit. On my days off, I have plenty of flexibility for walks, playtime, and lots of attention! I primarily provide care at clients’ homes, where pets can stay comfortable in their own familiar environment. I do my best to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and any other specific care instructions. For house sitting and drop-in visits, I’ll make sure your pets get plenty of attention and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel comfortable knowing they’re well cared for while you’re away.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Delta Charter
Abby did great doing drop-in visit with our 2 cats and corgi. She followed instructions and even went to extra effort to make sure our cat with a sensitive stomach doesn't eat the other cat's food. She also walked our pup twice within the one hour drop-in visit which is very much appreciated. We're definitely rebooking with her in the future!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Delta Charter. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
