“Elizabeth was very attentive to my cats while we were away. She took the time to come meet them before our booking and asked lots of questions about their routines and other questions I wouldn't have thought of and was very thorough. She even left a little report card after the visit. Will use again if we leave town.”

“Michael is seriously awesome. From the moment he walked in for the meet & greet, it was obvious I’d made the right choice! He was so comfortable, caring, and loving towards my teenage kitten right away and it made me feel so at ease leaving her in his hands for a few days!! Even when there was a mix up with access to the house, Michael was so proactive, attentive, and flexible! I was beyond grateful. I seriously cannot recommend him enough as a pet sitter and all around wonderful human!!”

About: I have over a decade of experience caring for the pets of friends, family, and neighbors. The last two summers, I've worked as a long-term housesitter in Ann Arbor, taking care of two dogs and two cats. I'm comfortable with pets of all ages and exercise needs, and I can administer medications for your pets. I would love to meet your cat or dog and make a new furry friend! I'm a student at MSU, where my class schedule tends to have midday breaks and open evenings. I am occasionally out of town on weekends, but I'm typically in East Lansing and available for drop-ins, walks, and housesitting. I will care for your pets with a calm, attentive energy whether they need someone to chill with them and provide pets, or they want active playtime and a long walk. I treat everyone's home with respect and always clean up after myself and your pets!
“Chelsey took the time to meet with my fur baby prior to pet sitting. This meant a lot considering my cat can be a little skeptical of new people. Chelsey took into consideration my cat does not appreciate the scent of a dog and took precautions while sitting. She definitely went above and beyond and my fur baby and I couldn’t be happier.”

“Ashley, who goes by “Red,” is an absolutely wonderful human being, and if she is available, book her! Back in May, as a first-time user of Rover, I created 3 separate bookings with a sitter who had glowing reviews. However, on the day of our meet & greet—only 1 week before our first trip—she completely ghosted us. I nearly panicked because I didn’t think we’d be able to find an available sitter on such short notice. I hopped back on Rover, entered my dates, filtered by Star Sitters, and hit “search.” Red was at the top of my search results, and after looking over her profile, I felt like she may be a good choice. Although her calendar showed her as available for the dates of our trip, I was prepared to be let down. I sent her a message explaining our situation. Not only did she respond quickly, she also responded with kindness & empathy. Best of all, she was available to sit for our beloved kitty! AND she volunteered to come over the next morning for a meet & greet! Less than 24 hours after reaching out to her, Red messaged me to let me know she was on her way to my house. Upon opening my door, I immediately liked her. Seriously. She just radiates this incredible energy! She is also so kind, compassionate, and engaging. She explained how she has devoted her life to caring for animals, and she just lit up as she was telling us about it. Best of all? Sassy, our shy & anxious kitty, came out of hiding pretty quickly to investigate her, and by the end of the visit, was giving Red love rubs on her leg! This was unprecedented, and we were absolutely shocked. Sassy’s response to meeting Red left no doubts in our mind; we had chosen the perfect caretaker for our precious kitty. We booked Red for two of our three camping trips. This review is based on our second booking with her, and we couldn’t be more pleased with her! She is the sweetest person! And an excellent communicator, which is vital for us anxious pet parents who are forced to leave our beloved (and vulnerable!) pets home alone. I had no qualms leaving Sassy alone this second time because I knew that Red would take excellent care of her…and she absolutely has! I am so sad that Red is not available for our third trip, but if she’s available next summer, you can bet I will be booking her!”

“Deborah did a wonderful job with a drop in visit with my older dog, Teddy. He warmed up to her right away. I also appreciate Deborah’s quick responses to texts and her communication while she did her visit. I will definitely book with Deborah again.”

“So thankful for Katerina as she came by on such a short notice. She played outside with him for almost the whole 30 minutes. She is a reliable & caring dog sitter! Totally recommend.”

“What a delightful experience. Taylor is kind, prompt, knowledgeable, and professional. I will absolutely use her again. She was also super flexible when I had to change my plans last minute. Definitely recommend using her!”

“Hailey is proactive in starting a positive relationship and experience for us humans and our cat! Hailey has a calm and caring presence, which our cat felt and responded to immediately!”

“Wonderful and thorough care. I never worried about my boy while gone for a week. She anticipated needs even I did not (full litter box change) and went above and beyond in other ways as well. She sends lots of updates which was a comfort while away. She cared for my boy cat Zissou as if her own. 1000% recommend! She will be who I use for any future needs.”

About: Along with balancing a part-time job, my spring semester class schedule keeps me busy in the mornings, but I’m usually available after 2:30 p.m. most days — and I’m always happy to answer any questions about specific times or scheduling needs!! I truly love animals and always miss my furry friends while I’m away at school. I grew up with two dogs and a cat, which sparked my passion for caring for pets of all kinds. I have experience working with dogs of every size and temperament, from high energy puppies to low energy seniors and even giant breeds. Growing up around dogs taught me how to read their body language and respond with patience and care. Whether it’s providing extra playtime for an energetic pup, supporting a senior with special needs, or helping a timid dog feel safe, I approach every dog with compassion and adaptability. I also love caring for cats just as much…from playful kittens to independent seniors. I understand their unique personalities and the importance of gentle, respectful interaction. Whether that means giving them space, offering enrichment, or simply providing calm companionship, I make sure every cat feels comfortable, secure, and well cared for. I'm a student at Michigan State University with a part-time job, so my availability can vary, but I’m typically pretty flexible and have time the weekends. When caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on creating a familiar and comfortable environment for them. In a client’s home, I maintain their regular routines as closely as possible, from feeding and walks to any specific care needs or commands they’re used to. I can also provide updates and photos to keep owners reassured and informed
About: I am a recent graduate of MSU with a degree in zoology. I have worked at a doggy day care and have taken care of both cats and dogs since I was around 8 years old. I have helped family and neighbors feed, walk, and overall care for their pets whenever needed. I am currently looking for a part-time job during my transition between college and a full-time job, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets and give them care. I will ensure that all pets are accounted for and taken care of. Rules will be followed if there is a fenced in yard or a crate that your pet may need.
About: I began working at my hometowns vet clinic when I was 16, where I gained a lot of experience with animal handling and care. I continue to work at the clinic during my school breaks, and I enjoy walking dogs at the animal shelter during my free time on campus. I have pet sat for many friends and family members over the years, which has given me experience caring for both dogs and cats of a variety of sizes and temperaments. I am an undergraduate student at MSU, studying animal science! My class schedule has many gaps, so there are lots of opportunities for me to check in on your pet throughout the day. I provide care through feeding, walking, and keeping your pet company while you are busy or out of town! I am unable to house pets due to living in an apartment that does not allow them, but I am able to provide care for them throughout the day while they remain in the familiar environment of their own home!
“Very communicative and easy to contact if needed! Took great care of my cats while I was out of town and was very kind! Would definitely contact her again if I needed a pet sitter again :)”

“Lucy was so amazing, she communicated the whole time, sent the cutest pictures of my babies, and really eased my anxiety while I was away. She cared for my two cats and I will definitely be using her again in the future. Again Lucy, thank you so much for everything!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs in some aspect my entire life. From walking, to house sitting, to bathing, if any friend or family member needed their doggo taken care of, I was the girl for the job! I am very good with all kinds of dogs at any stage of their life, as I have been dog sitting for various clients for the last 4-years, both on and off Rover. I’m currently a Ph.D student at MSU, so I’m super flexible when it comes to working around clients schedules. I have in person classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in the AM and early afternoon, but other than that, I am happy to spend my free time with pups! I always make sure to follow the parent of the fur baby I’m walking or house sitting to ensure that the experience for both the parent and the pup is a pleasing one.

Taylor was perfect for our kitties! They loved her so much and we saw them waiting for her on our cameras with excitement! She took lots of pictures and we looked forward to reading her reports every day! She gave them treats and toys and really made us feel so much better seeing the love she gave them 🩷 We really appreciated all she did to make our absence easier on our kitties and hope she’ll be available next time we leave!

We had such a wonderful experience with Christine! She cared for our dog, Winston, and our cat for 7 days with twice-daily visits, and we truly couldn’t have asked for better support while we were away. Christine went above and beyond—she sent photos at every visit, gave Winston extra time on his walks on several days, brought in our mail, and even took out our trash. It meant so much to us to know our pets (and home) were being cared for so thoughtfully. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and a clean space, and had complete peace of mind the entire time we were gone. We’re so grateful and would absolutely recommend Christine to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, reliable, and genuinely caring. We will definitely be booking with her again!

An excellent experience from start to finish. She was incredibly reliable, communicative, and very responsible with feeding and playtime. We received regular updates - photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We felt completely confident that our cat was in good hands. Would absolutely book again. Highly recommend!

Great with my cat! Followed instructions perfectly, very communicative, and respected both my home and my cat. Quick responses and my cat loved her! Went above and beyond! 100% recommend! Very flexible and willing to work with my difficult cat. Will definitely rebook every time!

Had a great experience with Courtney! Her communication was great throughout booking and the entire stay, she’s a very sweet person too and I had no doubt that my cat was in responsible and loving hands while I was gone. I may not be able to ask my cat’s opinion, but for a few days after I came back he would sit at my front door around the time she was coming for the drop in visits and I’m pretty sure he was hoping his new friend would come visit, so she has his seal of approval, too.

Trevor was very responsive which was a great comfort while being so long and far away from both our cats. Our very elusive and fearful cat actually came out of hiding and allowed him to see her--which was very surprising and a testimony to Trevor's reliability, friendliness, and excellent care!
