“Tennille is the best! We had her stop by and check on our two dogs while we were out of town and they were in such good hands! She kept us updated with every visit, including so many pictures and our dogs warmed up to her very easily! Very trustworthy- we will defiantly be repeat customers🙃”

“We have used Morgan three times now and she has been amazing! Our dog is a senior dog with diabetes. She is deaf, blind and insulin dependent and Morgan has been great with her! She has been extremely reliable and responsive. She has also left the house in great shape each time she has stayed over. I have zero complaints.”

About: I have experience dog sitting at others homes for 4 years now and I have been employed at a doggy daycare for 2 years now! I am a pre-veterinary/animal science major at Michigan State University and have taken classes in companion animal care and even farm animals! I also have experience doing surgery on dogs and cats, taking vitals, injections, and everything vet related! I'm currently working part time so I have tons of time to house sit for your dog! I usually work mornings or mid shifts for only 5 hours so tons of time. I am very experienced in watching dogs and am able to crate your dog if you need and give medications. I make sure I know where the pup is at all times and take it on walks often, or if it likes to just be let out in the back I watch it the entire time to monitor its location. I also am able to keep up with regular feeding schedules!
“Alexander has been great with my RR’s. They are a handful and large and he is patient. He has been reliable over multiple visits and I don’t hesitate to recommend him.”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 14, both boarding and house sitting. I am always the first to get a call. I’m currently working part time locally so I have lots of morning and afternoons free to fill with furry friends! Whether that’s a walk or a few hours of playing, I would love to spend my free time with cute animals. I have an unfenced yard and a small house. I allow pets on furniture and they will probably be swallowed with pets from my roommates. We love all animals here and will treat them as our own for the time being.
“I went on vacation for a week and Olivia took care of my cat Whiskey. She was fantastic with her and checked in often! She sent pictures of her during the drop ins which was something that eased my mind. I highly recommend Olivia!”

“Lori is our go-to sitter for our cats and our cats feel really comfortable around her. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and we enjoyed the updates, but really enjoyed that we didn't have to worry about our cats because we knew Lori was taking care of them.”

About: I have over a decade of experience caring for the pets of friends, family, and neighbors. The last two summers, I've worked as a long-term housesitter in Ann Arbor, taking care of two dogs and two cats. I'm comfortable with pets of all ages and exercise needs, and I can administer medications for your pets. I would love to meet your cat or dog and make a new furry friend! I'm a student at MSU, where my class schedule tends to have midday breaks and open evenings. I am occasionally out of town on weekends, but I'm typically in East Lansing and available for drop-ins, walks, and housesitting. I will care for your pets with a calm, attentive energy whether they need someone to chill with them and provide pets, or they want active playtime and a long walk. I treat everyone's home with respect and always clean up after myself and your pets!

I make sure your dog gets the right amount of exercise while staying safe, comfortable, and happy at all times.
“Camdyn is wonderful We couldn’t be happier with the care our dogs, Charlie and Puppers, received. From the moment we left, we felt confident they were in great hands. Camdyn kept us updated, gave them plenty of attention, and treated them like family.”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Christine! She cared for our dog, Winston, and our cat for 7 days with twice-daily visits, and we truly couldn’t have asked for better support while we were away. Christine went above and beyond—she sent photos at every visit, gave Winston extra time on his walks on several days, brought in our mail, and even took out our trash. It meant so much to us to know our pets (and home) were being cared for so thoughtfully. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and a clean space, and had complete peace of mind the entire time we were gone. We’re so grateful and would absolutely recommend Christine to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, reliable, and genuinely caring. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I have owned multiple animals before and taken care of them for their whole life. I'm Currently in school to become a Veterinarian so I have worked in animal clinic, as well as a animal shelter for many years. I have also trained all my animals from either as a puppy or adult. Additionally Throughout high school I was in FFA(Future farmers of America) So I have a lot of experience training and taking care of all types of animals. I have 2 dogs back at home that I take care of, then while I'm at school I still volunteer with all types of animals. I am also in Leader dogs for the blind club, where we learn how to train guide dogs and then raise them. I will first make sure the animal feels comfortable with me. At my home just make sure that they have everything they need and are safe. Then at the clients home just watch over them but give space if needed since this is their safe space.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - East Lansing
Taylor was so amazing and relieved so much of our stress knowing someone so great was taking care of our babies. Our dogs are very high anxiety and can be a handful but she did so well with them. Every animal took meds and she made sure they all got them each day. Her updates were also great with lots of photos :)

As she has been every other time, Isabella is wonderful! Our dogs love her, even our most shy one. She is diligent in caring for them, keeping us informed about their care and even takes them on impromptu walks without being asked. We try to use her exclusively.

Megan was fantastic with my sometimes hard to handle brood. She was always in communication which was very nice and reassuring, she took great care of all of my animals and they seemed to enjoy having her there as well. Happy faces every time I got photos! I will definitely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in East Lansing with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
