About: Along with a lifetime of owning and loving my own pets, I spent five years working at a veterinary clinic and I’m extremely comfortable handling animals of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. That experience taught me how to read behavior, stay calm, and make sure animals feel safe and cared for. I’m patient, compassionate, and confident working with pets who may be shy, energetic, or still learning. Being around animals has been a big part of my daily life for years, and I truly enjoy giving them the attention and care they need. I’m currently between jobs, which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to focus fully on your pet’s needs. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I’m able to build my day around their routine so they get consistent attention and care. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as familiar and comfortable as possible. I follow your feeding schedule, walk times, and any special instructions you have. I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and calm companionship so they feel secure while you’re away. I also keep the home tidy, check water, and send updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I have experience caring for pets who need medication or extra attention due to illness. My five years at a veterinary clinic gave me a lot of hands‑on exposure to animals with different medical needs, so I’m comfortable following instructions, staying calm, and making sure they get the care they need to feel safe and happy.

About: I have dogs since I was very little. I have also participated in the training of my dogs and always love to use positive reinforcement to make pets their best selves! I'm currently working for myself with Doordash and Rover. My schedule is completely flexible and I am open to last minute bookings if messaged directly. I am respectful of my client's home and always down for staying in and playing/relaxing with your pet or going out for walks. I also have a car and can take them to the nearest dog park or on an adventure!
“We have used Morgan three times now and she has been amazing! Our dog is a senior dog with diabetes. She is deaf, blind and insulin dependent and Morgan has been great with her! She has been extremely reliable and responsive. She has also left the house in great shape each time she has stayed over. I have zero complaints.”

“Madelyn was AMAZING! We only booked her for 30 minutes, but we will definitely be using her again in the future. In that short time, she was able to take my dog for a walk and help burn off some of his energy while I was at work. She was wonderful with communication, and I loved getting to see the photos she took of him during their visit. She also saved me with such a last-minute booking, and I’m so grateful she was available to help with my pup! I highly recommend Madelyn! 🐾💕 Thank you so much Madelyn”

About: I have had various pets of my own my entire life including dogs, cats, and reptiles so I have worked with all these at various ages and with all different needs. I am currently studying zoology in school, specifically animal behavior, so I am also currently gaining more education with working with animals in that way as well. I am currently a student and I work part time but I am never gone for more than 4-6 hours at a time and I do a lot of work from home so all pet care would be given plenty of time and attention for any animal in my care. I also already make time for personal exercise to be out and about so that time transitions to walks or time in the park to get out energy. I currently live in a one-bedroom apartment with just me so any pet would get plenty of space to exhibit whatever boundaries they need without interference of other animals or people. I also live very close to various parks that have fenced in areas for dogs and walking trails to walk or run on whenever they need
About: I grew up in a household with lots of pets and barnyard animals and have been caring for my own dog, Maggie, for the past 11 years. I have watched pets for friends and relatives and have always approached those responsibilities with care and attention when it comes to scheduled walks, meals, and medication. I'm between jobs until this fall so I have lots of availability to work with any schedule. Why I made this account: I am a burned out former government employee looking to make some cash while I decide on my next career move. As I type this, I am watching the World Cut Semi-Final between England and Argentina (tied 1-1) on my couch and my dog is sleeping on her bed. She has had 2 walks today, 2 treats (with pro-dental enzymes), and will be getting her dinner in 10 minutes (with some warm water added to make it easier for her to chew). I sing to my dog and generally giver her the attention to make sure she knows she is well-loved. This is a snapshot of the care and attention I offer for your pet.
“Amanda was amazing with Dave! It was my first time leaving him alone for an extended period of time and she made sure to give him the love and attention he needed, even coming back an extra session to make sure he was eating and using the litter box! I got the cutest pictures while I was away too”

About: I have grown up around dogs and can’t wait to get one of my own someday! Just recently started a new job so I can’t commit to a dog of my own but would love to help someone out by waking their dog or watching them for a weekend! I have a Hybrid work schedule and am home Monday and Fridays during the week! On the weekend I love to explore the city so would love a furry friend to accompany me:) I currently live in an apartment so I will be available to take the dog out to go potty and for walks! I love playing with dogs whether it’s fetch or tug of war, whatever the dog loves.
About: I volunteer at an animal shelter for volunteer hours, so I have experience with dogs and cats that are unfamiliar with me! I've also owned both dogs and cats in my family throughout my entire life. I would love to help as much as I can but my availability will be slightly constricted due to my class schedule. I can mostly do weekends! I will not be able to take any pets to my own home, however I will be sure to give pets in their own space plenty of attention or space depending on what the animal prefers.
About: I’ve been caring for pets for most of my life and they seem to gravitate towards me. I’ve been doing this professionally for over a decade. I know that your home and pets are incredibly important in your lives so I recognize the great amount of trust that requires and is something i take very seriously.

About: I’m new to caring for others pets, but I’ve had pets in my home since I was a kid. I take my dogs on a walk everyday, and am able to change the distance for how active your pet is. I’m a part time student, so I have lots of free time during the week and between classes to drop in and care for your pet if needed, and am flexible with scheduling a time to walk your pet! I have a fenced in yard that my dogs run around in but I also take them on a walk everyday. My pets free feed but if needed I will be able to follow a feeding or medication schedule, and can take your pet for daily walks.
About: Hi! I’m a Pre-Veterinary student at Michigan State University with over five years of dog sitting experience, along with professional experience working as a kennel technician and playtime supervisor at doggy daycare facilities. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, and I’m committed to making every pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule, and I’m happy to work with you to create the best routine for you and your pet. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member!! I'm currently working part time so I have tons of time to house sit for your dog! I usually work evenings or mid shifts for only 5 hours so tons of time. I am very experienced in watching dogs and am able to crate your dog if you need and give medications. I make sure I know where the pup is at all times and take it on walks often, or if it likes to just be let out in the back I watch it the entire time to monitor its location. I also am able to keep up with regular feeding schedules!

I love animals and hope to make new experiences with some furry friends! I am currently working part time as a caregiver but I’m only scheduled once every other week on Mondays after 7pm. I am also a full time student at MSU but I have a light schedule I can work around to ensure your pups get the attention they need! I love playing with pets and will always make sure your animal is safe and comfortable! I am also accustomed to giving dogs baths from my prior job experience and would love to give them a little refresh if needed.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - East Lansing
Lisa was the best! She did a wonderful job with my babies and her expertise as a retired nurse was very helpful for my geriatric babies who both have multiple medical problems. She was very accommodating and worked with my schedule to ensure that my babies received their medication at the required time. She was reliable, conscientious and responsible. I could not have been happier with her and would highly recommend her to take care of your fur babies.
Taylor was so amazing and relieved so much of our stress knowing someone so great was taking care of our babies. Our dogs are very high anxiety and can be a handful but she did so well with them. Every animal took meds and she made sure they all got them each day. Her updates were also great with lots of photos :)

We had such a wonderful experience with Christine! She cared for our dog, Winston, and our cat for 7 days with twice-daily visits, and we truly couldn’t have asked for better support while we were away. Christine went above and beyond—she sent photos at every visit, gave Winston extra time on his walks on several days, brought in our mail, and even took out our trash. It meant so much to us to know our pets (and home) were being cared for so thoughtfully. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and a clean space, and had complete peace of mind the entire time we were gone. We’re so grateful and would absolutely recommend Christine to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, reliable, and genuinely caring. We will definitely be booking with her again!

As she has been every other time, Isabella is wonderful! Our dogs love her, even our most shy one. She is diligent in caring for them, keeping us informed about their care and even takes them on impromptu walks without being asked. We try to use her exclusively.

Megan was fantastic with my sometimes hard to handle brood. She was always in communication which was very nice and reassuring, she took great care of all of my animals and they seemed to enjoy having her there as well. Happy faces every time I got photos! I will definitely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
