“I have two dogs, both huskies: one a deaf puppy and the other a senior with some health concerns. They are not always easy to care for, but Ellen has consistently done a great job of it. They come back home healthy and happy and tired (which is a huge bonus for huskies!). Ellen is consistently communicative and provides photo updates throughout the day. Dogs have access to a safe fenced yard for play. I couldn’t ask for better!”

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! I've owned and cared for a variety of pets over the years and have experience with animals of different ages, personalities, and care needs. One of the most rewarding parts of my pet-care journey has been fostering. I'm currently a foster with Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) and have also fostered for other shelters in the past. Through fostering, I've cared for pets who were shy, energetic, recovering from medical procedures, learning social skills, or simply looking for a safe place to land before finding their forever homes. I also have two dogs who don't currently live with me, but I absolutely love spending time with them whenever I can. Whether it's long walks, outdoor adventures, or hiking local trails, I'm happiest when I have a furry companion by my side. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m currently unemployed, so I am available almost 24/7 to care for your pet(s)! My schedule allows me the flexibility to provide reliable and attentive care for pets throughout the week. I make it a priority to plan my day around the pets I'm caring for so they receive the attention, exercise, potty breaks, meals, and companionship they need. Whether your pet thrives on a structured routine or is more laid-back, I'm happy to work with their individual schedule and needs. Communication is important to me, so you can also expect regular updates, photos, and check-ins while you're away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. My approach is centered on safety, patience, and positive interactions. As a foster caregiver, I've worked with animals from many different backgrounds, which has taught me how to read body language, respect boundaries, and help pets feel comfortable in new situations. I carefully follow all owner instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, routines, and household rules. I believe every pet deserves individualized care and attention. My goal is to provide a safe, stress-free experience where both pets and owners feel confident and comfortable. You can count on me to treat your pets with the same love and care I would give my own.

“I would highly recommend Makayla to anyone looking for obedience training. It was like bringing home a new dog! We did a two week obedience board and train that completely turned around or sheppard Ninas behavior. We struggled with her not listening to commands she knows and really bad leash pulling towards people and other dogs. She now is completely focused around distractions, will stay in her sit and down commands, come when called and walks by our side. I can't thank her enough for her amazing work!”

About: Hi, I’m Hannah! I have 11+ years of caring for animals and have worked with dogs, specifically puppies for over 4 years. I have tons of experience caring for dogs and have watched many over the years. My husband Nick and I have 3 dogs of our own: a 8 year old Lab/Golden rescue who is blind, a 5 year old Cockapoo and a 4 year old mini Poodle. We also have a 1 year old tailless black kitty and a 3 year old Holland Lop rabbit. We have a fenced in yard and live an active lifestyle which includes playing lots of fetch with the pups and taking many walks. I’ve had experience with dogs with all different personalities and behaviors. Can’t wait to see your fur babies! I am available for boarding most days. I am willing to pick up/ drop off the pup if need be. Right now my schedule is open. I care for my dogs like they are part of the family. I think it’s important to prioritize my dogs need to ensure they are happy and healthy

About: I love animals in general and have an adorable toy poodle back at home that I used to care for full-time, but now my parents have custody of him since I am at college! I have experience with feeding, bathing, and walking. I can be very soothing and attentive when needed. I do not have much experience caring for larger dogs, but I am quite reliable. I am a student not taking very many credits this semester and I generally only have to leave for class in the morning about an hour a day. I do work part-time with my longest day on Thursday being a 4 hour shift. I have plenty of free-time I spend at my apartment. I will happily discuss my schedule with you! For larger dogs, I prefer to care for them at the owner’s place only whether it is boarding, sitting, or walking. This is because of the space of an apartment and also because my roommate has a cat! If your cat stays at my apartment, my roommate’s will stay in my roommate’s room so you do not have to worry about confrontation between the cats!

About: I have extensive volunteer experience at animal control, 4 years as an animal care technician, and have always had pets of my own. No dog is too much to handle. High energy? Great, let's run. Old timer? That's okay, we can hang out at home. Little puppy? No worries, I can practice training basic commands. I have managed to harmoniously share my life with 3 dogs, 4 cats, bunnies and chinchillas. I would be glad to spread that love to your furry family. No two dogs or cats are alike, so why provide cookie-cutter care? With me, your dog will be provided one of a kind exceptional care. On top of it all, I can take some pretty cute pictures. No worries if your pet is independent or prefers a quiet environment, we are able to separate the house into different wings. At this time I am working from 7-3:30 Monday-Friday, the rest of my time is spent at home with my pets where I am available to provide the same care I will never put your pet in a situation they are not comfortable with and promise to provide what they need for their safety whether it's personal space, a gated off room, time in a crate or social play time with my owns dogs
