“Christine was fabulous with our dog, Tillie! Tillie can sometimes be a little nervous and it was easy to see in the many pictures that Christine sent that Tillie warmed up to her very quickly! She gave her a lot of personal attention and walks. When we picked her up, it was clear Tillie had bonded with Christine during her 5 day stay with her. We feel very lucky to have found her!”

About: I love animals of all sizes-I've been petsitting since I was 14 and loved every second of it. My main clients were two 100+ lb mastiffs. I prefer potty trained dogs. I am athletic and would be able to do longer walks for dogs that need it, and shorter, more tame walks for older or less athletic dogs. I will be able to take your pets to a park or the groomers. I am a recent graduate of UWRF looking for work before I go to grad school. I prefer to stay close to River Falls. For house sitting I can stay overnights and will be able to dedicate plenty of time to your beloved family members. I am currently working 4 days a week as a graduate assistant. I am free Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for overnight care. I do have my own dog and cat, so boarding visits are preferred for those days. I am happy to stop over before and after work to visit and care for your pet. I treat my personal pet with devotion, respect, and love. I will treat your pets the exact same way. I respect pet boundaries and am a big fan of positive reinforcement, whether it be clicker training, praise-based, or treat-based training.
“This was Sophie‘s first time away from me in over a year and Cari took excellent care of her. She kept me updated with pictures and reports as to how Sophie was doing. I would definitely use Cari again.”

“Ellen takes great care of my Holly. Ellen provides me updates on Holly and includes pictures. I received updates at least twice daily - I had no reason to be worried and I could focus on enjoying my trip”

“As a local rover sitter myself, so I’m setting the bar high, I was very pleased with Thalia. My 6lb baby lost his brother of 15 yrs a week before my unavoidable trip. I was beyond devastated, full of greif and unbelievable guilt at the thought of having to leave my little guy now, especially with the level of depression porky was in. Thalia took Porky all around with her the little dog bag I have so he wasn’t alone. She gave him the attention and love he needed to finally start eating again. After being gone 4 days I was so relieved to see Porky’s personality coming back and he’s eating normally again now that we’re home. I know this would not have ever been possible if he hadn’t been receiving the love, attenti & affection the entire trip I was gone. I will definitely use her again. Thank you Thalia for giving me the peace of mind to travel again and know Porky will be in good hands❤️”

“I am so pleased to have found Adriana. She took great care of our dog Reeba and we plan to continue using Adriana’s services in the future too. I will recommend Adriana to everyone.”

“KellyAnna was awesome to work with. Quick to respond initially. She was gracious enough to let us come over and get acquainted. My first visit I wasn't able to bring my dog with me. I had a special circumstance come up and we were able to come up with a good solution. Them we all came and visited the next day and everything went great. This was my first rover experience. I am so thrilled with this service. And KellyAnna was so helpful, I am very thankful for your ability to harbor Otis for 4 nights. Thank you, thank you!”

“Pete and his family were amazing with our fur baby! They have a super gentle golden retriever and kind children. Pattie Cake had such a good time with them she wasn’t even sure she wanted to come home after 1 1/2 weeks. Hahaha. We will definitely book with their family again.”

“What a great stay our puppy had with Mia. And our dog and hers were fast friends! Mia kept us updated on how the stay was going and treated with our dog with kindness and took care of all oir special needs. We will use Mia again for our dog boarding without hesitation.”

“Stephanie was terrific! She kept great communication and was very attentive and gave the utmost care while watching my pitbull Dino while I was away. I felt confident leaving her to be responsible for him. She is reliable and trustworthy! Hope Dino can board again with her in the future.”

“Excellent! Highly recommended -- This is the second time Michelle has watched Polly for us, and is incredible, excellent communication and takes amazing care of Polly. A++++”

About: I’ve been a dog and cat girl my whole life. From learning patience with young dogs at the age of 5 weeks old, to attending to a 14 -year-old dog, I have open-handedly experienced what it is like dealing with dogs of all ages. I have also dealt with the sassy teenager phase from both dogs and cats. When they are bored, they will make it known. The biggest take I have learned from taking care of dogs and cats is that they won’t always be on your timeline. You have to be extremely patient and take time to train them and be there for them. I’m currently looking for a part-time job, and I am going to school but I mainly take online classes, so I’ll have plenty of time to give your pets the attention they need. My schedule is pretty much free besides Wednesdays but if I’m boarding I am available. I have a fenced in mini pet park next to my apartment. Your furry companion will get all of the exercise he/she needs! My apartment is very cozy and safe, only smaller pets are allowed so there won’t be any issue with other pet owner neighbors.
“Christine was amazing with our 11 yr. old pitbull. She gave him lots of love, attention and extra care when he was anxious. Christine treated him as one of her own. She sent pics and updates every day. Responded In a timely manner and even helped us feel less anxious while being away. She follows directions and uses good discernment. Highly recommend Christine and will definitely have her watch our pup if needed.”

“Nichelle has watched my 100lb great Pyrenees along with both of my cats and I'm pretty sure they would rather stay with her! Her, along with her family, absolutely adore my fluffy dog and I wouldnt ask anyone else to watch him. He is always excited to stay with them and has multiple times! Highly recommend if you want someone to watch your animals that will treat them like their own.”

“The best. She had my baby for 2 weeks and I didn’t worry one second. She sent pictures daily. He had the best time and was so well taken care of. I would recommend Baleigh to any one. Will always be my first choice in the watching my fur babies!”

“Molly is great! She has watched Scout twice, and she is prepared for his high energy personality. I love that she has a fenced in backyard he can explore, and her dog Spade is a sweetie who gets along with everyone.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Holt
We cannot recommend Pete and his family highly enough. We asked them to take care of our almost 15 year old Lab for over two weeks while we were out of the country. They sent regular updates, so we felt like we knew what was going on, and they were patient and understanding of the stress she experienced as she settled in. When we came to pick her up, she went to follow Pete back into the house, clearly showing how well-cared for she was. We would happily rebook with them again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
