It is so comforting to know Sparky is loved and very well taken care of !!!! We look forward to our daily updates and pictures that Brooke always sends us showing Sparky happy and having fun with Brooke, her husband Ben and their puggles Buddy and Tobi !!!! Sparky has separation anxiety but each time she stays with Brooke, Sparky adapts easier and quicker ?!!! Sparky's first couple stays with Brooke were doggy day care. When we booked Sparky's first overnights, Brooke was so very flexible and kind to agree to stay in our home overnight with Sparky for 2 nights and then transitioned Sparky to her home for the remaining 3 nights to help Sparky ease into staying away from home with her anxiety for the first time. With Brooke's help Sparky is a champ now and each drop off is easier !!!!! We are so Thankful for Brooke and her Family !!!!!!”

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! I've owned and cared for a variety of pets over the years and have experience with animals of different ages, personalities, and care needs. One of the most rewarding parts of my pet-care journey has been fostering. I'm currently a foster with Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) and have also fostered for other shelters in the past. Through fostering, I've cared for pets who were shy, energetic, recovering from medical procedures, learning social skills, or simply looking for a safe place to land before finding their forever homes. I also have two dogs who don't currently live with me, but I absolutely love spending time with them whenever I can. Whether it's long walks, outdoor adventures, or hiking local trails, I'm happiest when I have a furry companion by my side. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m currently unemployed, so I am available almost 24/7 to care for your pet(s)! My schedule allows me the flexibility to provide reliable and attentive care for pets throughout the week. I make it a priority to plan my day around the pets I'm caring for so they receive the attention, exercise, potty breaks, meals, and companionship they need. Whether your pet thrives on a structured routine or is more laid-back, I'm happy to work with their individual schedule and needs. Communication is important to me, so you can also expect regular updates, photos, and check-ins while you're away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. My approach is centered on safety, patience, and positive interactions. As a foster caregiver, I've worked with animals from many different backgrounds, which has taught me how to read body language, respect boundaries, and help pets feel comfortable in new situations. I carefully follow all owner instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, routines, and household rules. I believe every pet deserves individualized care and attention. My goal is to provide a safe, stress-free experience where both pets and owners feel confident and comfortable. You can count on me to treat your pets with the same love and care I would give my own.

“Karen took such great care of our cat, Jack! Even from the meet and greet, she was patient and respectful of his boundaries as he’s hesitant to warm up to new people. She checked in before the drop in visits started and was super communicative. We loved looking at all the photos she'd take each visit and reading the detailed notes. We knew Jack was in excellent hands and won’t hesitate to have Karen care for Jack again!”

“Used her drop in services for a week away, She followed instructions perfectly, very caring, and super responsive to messages. She even brought in packages without me asking. I will book her again next time, made traveling less stressful.”

“Jamie was absolutely fantastic! I’ve never left my kitties with someone I haven’t met before so I was super nervous. We had a meet and greet beforehand, and she sent photos and updates throughout the entire time she was watching them. The whole experience was 100000/10 and I will definitely be using her services again!”

“Lizz came by twice a day to take care of our three cats while we were away. One of our cats needed a daily inhaler, and she handled it wonderfully. The cats loved playing with Lizz, and having her there gave us such peace of mind knowing our fur babies were well cared for. We will definitely book with her again!”

About: I have been taking care of cats since I was 13. When neighbors and friends went away on vacation I was who they asked to take care of their fur babies. I also have experience administering medication for older pets who may need it

About: What sets me apart is my long-term experience caring for rescue cats and understanding that trust with animals takes time, patience, and consistency. My family’s two cats are rescues, and helping care for them over the past 9 years taught me how important it is to let cats warm up at their own pace and feel safe in their environment. Because of that experience, I’m especially good with shy, nervous, or independent cats who may need extra patience and gentle care. I also house sat and cared for my grandma’s cat for two weeks while she recovered from surgery, so I understand how important reliable, attentive care is when owners are away. I always focus on creating a calm, stress-free environment while following each cat’s routine closely so they feel comfortable and secure.

About: As a foster and lifelong animal lover, I've had plenty of hands-on experience caring for cats with all kinds of personalities. From playful kittens to independent adults and nervous newcomers, I understand that every cat has their own unique comfort level and routine. Through fostering, I've learned how important patience and observation are when caring for cats. Some want endless attention and playtime, while others prefer a quiet presence and gentle companionship. I'm comfortable with feeding schedules, litter box maintenance, administering basic medications when needed, enrichment activities, and making sure cats feel secure in their environment. I genuinely enjoy earning a cat's trust and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their family is away.
“Tennille is wonderful! She has sat for my 11 y/o kitty a few times and has been very patient with Billie Jean’s timidness the first couple of times. It paid off, as this last visit Miss Billie Jean came out to play! 😻”

“Denni was able to help us out at the last minute and it was truly appreciated. She seems to genuinely care about animals. I have no complaints and would use her services again .”

“Ashley did a wonderful job handling our three cats!! She was very communicative and sent lots of photos. We're very appreciative of her taking the time to watch them, especially during the holiday season. I hope to work with Ashley again soon!!”

“Jessica did an excellent job looking after my cat while I was gone! She came to my house twice per day to feed my cat, clean her litter, etc. Jessica was thoughtful and gave my cat some new toys for Christmas! While I was gone, Jessica gave me updates each day on how my cat was doing. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Olivia was great! We had her stay overnight a few nights with our senior cat. She texted updates, pictures, and we were happy to know she was there taking care of things. We’ll definitely have her come again without question!”

“Jason and Kristen have taken such great care of our dog Eddie. He usually has separation anxiety, but always RUNS to their door to be played with and cared for by this family. My requests and quirks are respected, photos are sent and communication response is as close to immediate as one can be. I rest easily knowing my dog is in responsible, caring hands!!”

“Alice did an amazing job with Oreo! She was so kind, patient and gentle with her. She clearly communicated with me about how her day went and asked questions about her needs. About: I've taken care of family and friends dogs for about 30 years. I can train puppy and adult dog in basic obedience. For senior dogs will be more attentive and show love. If you have a special need's dog such as leg wheelchair or any type of disability and I would love to learn how to take care of it. I will love them back with all my heart. I understand their disabilities and will give them a great care at 100%. I'm working a part-time on flexible days. I still find time to spends with dogs. I love to play with your fur babies. I will walk the fur babies on a daily routine. I use leach in the backyard since there is no fence yard. I live in a townhouse and do not have fence yard. I use 20 feet leach attached to my deck. I will take them to the dog parks, which I enjoyed to see them run and play.

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover currently studying Zoology, with hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and small pets of all personalities. I share my home with my Treeing Walker Coonhound, Bear, three cats, and several degus, and I’m especially experienced with shy, anxious, and sensitive animals. The only pets I’m not able to care for are spiders or tarantulas due to arachnophobia, but all other animals will be cared for with patience, respect, and the same love I give my own. While attending college online for my Zoology degree, I maintain a very flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize pet care and meet a variety of client needs. I’m able to provide consistent, reliable care throughout the day and week. I care for pets by following their established routines and providing a calm, safe, and attentive environment, whether in my home or a client’s home. For dog walks and drop-in visits, I focus on exercise, enrichment, feeding, potty breaks, and companionship, while closely following any specific instructions. For in-home sitting or boarding, I provide a structured routine, close supervision, positive reinforcement, and regular updates so pet parents can feel confident and informed while they’re away.

About: I have had numerous pets my whole life from farm animals to domestic house hold pets. My only current fur baby is my Doberman Cujo. Cujo will be at home with me during all boarding / doggy daycare bookings. He loves dogs just as much as I do! I am good with understanding all animal behaviors and can handle the most unruly pets. I myself am high energy and love walking just as much as your fur baby does. I am always excited to meet and spend time with animals, and I will provide your pet with quality care. I currently am home full time during the summer. I will occasionally step out for an errand or two, but otherwise I will be at home with your pet full time. I spend as much time with my family’s cats as they allow me but they are often napping. My dog Cujo takes up a lot of my attention; I constantly play, walk, feed, and bathe him. I do not mind dogs on the furniture and I prefer to spend the majority of time outside.

About: My full name is Olivia Vera Love but you can call me Vera! I’ve taken care of animals of every kind ever since I could walk. Henry was my first dog and he was an English Setter. Ollie was my first cat and he came from a local barn. My mom taught me how to care for their every need and extend that towards other dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, guineas, and goats. I have walked, fed, bathed, brushed, and worked with special needs dogs, chickens, reptiles, and elderly cats. At one point I was taking care of four cats, three dogs, and twenty birds. I'm confident in my experience with animals to leave a positive impact on them. Both of my mom’s dogs are older dachshunds with special needs. I regularly dog sit a lovely miniature Australian Shephard and cat sit a Blue Russian cat on my own time. I also currently own two rats, Cheez-it, and Cake, and they love the Australian Shephard. Im a recent graduate looking for work so I'm flexible at the moment. Routine is two walks a day in the morning and night. I am looking for a full time position so while I currently am able to provide full time support in the future I will be able to provide part time support. I strive to give patience and understanding. I react to the needs of the pet or pet owner and do what needs to be done to do what will make the pet happy. My love for animals is primarily through my love of their capacity for empathy. Through my experiences I have also learned to be stern and to stand my ground with pets to work with them and to make them as comfortable as possible.

“Sally was great! Very responsive and available on short notice. She paid close attention to Beanie and noticed when he was struggling due to the snow/salt (small paws) and brought him inside for pets for the remainder of the time. He loved it and I appreciated he got some extra attention while I worked! Will definitely rebook. 🐾”
“This was the first walk with Jessa. She was on time. She’s quite pleasant. Rhys seemed to take to her right off and some initial tugging I think they established the rhythm intend to set up another next week. I have every reason to believe this is a great beginning.”

I am willing to pick up/ drop off the pup if need be. Right now my schedule is open. I care for my dogs like they are part of the family. I think it’s important to prioritize my dogs need to ensure they are happy and healthy
About: All my life I have been taking care of dogs, whether it’s puppies or senior dogs. I find dogs interesting and I love watching them in their natural setting. I can definitely tune into your dog’s body language and give them what they need. And my friends and family are always asking me for help with their pets! As of right now I’m available Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday all day! Then Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday I’m only available until two. This will soon change! I don’t offer pets in my home, but I will be glad to come to yours and take care of all your pets needs! If you have pets that require special care, even medication, I will be happy to accommodate that. Or if they just need playtime or to use the bathroom. I’m happy to do whatever you need!
About: Currently working as a veterinary assistant, at Michigan State for animal science, previously an adoption specialist at our local shelter, in home care giver for the past 10 years Working part time in the morning at my clinic, and evenings with a client outside of the home. I make frequent stops at home, and hang out with my own dogs for all of my breaks in the day! Apartment living, but I do have a dog park across the street! My dogs like to go on walks every 4-6 hours, so that would be exercise!
About: I have been on rover for almost 3 years now, I have experience in all care fields (child, adult, and animal), and am also a licensed massage therapist. I have 6 adorable Pugbulls and one cat.I've cared for fish, cats, and dogs. In a 30min time block I can usually walk a little over a mile with a dog, even if they want to stop and sniff around a bit. I love all animals and am always willing to look after new types of animals! Unfortunately I’m not currently taking on new weekly walks, I will update this should that change. Currently my schedule is very flexible and open during the whole week. Should that schedule change I will update this description and let any clients I’m working with know. I have a very flexible work schedule as a massage therapist, if a day isn’t available I will have it updated as unavailable on my rover calendar. I always make sure to allow all pets to come to me at their own pace without making them feel like I’m invading their personal space. This helps them be comfortable with me quickly and feel safe in their home.

“We're so happy to have discovered Kim on Rover. She is an amazing dog caretaker! She treated our two dogs like her own and helped us feel comfortable leaving them behind. She sent many pictures of the dogs in and out of the house. She paid special attention to our senior dog and made him comfortable. We will definitely use her again.”

“My dog Cooper was very relaxed and at home with Cheryl. I felt at ease with Cooper in her care with his special dietary needs and separation anxiety. I really appreciated how she accommodated my change in schedule due to unexpected travel delays. Definitely will rebook for future dog boarding.”

“Brooke is Awesome and we are so Blessed to have found her for our Sparky !!!!! We have booked with her 5 times over the past year and the most recent trip Sparky stayed with Brooke for 13 nights.

About: I've grown up with spayed/unspayed dogs, tiny and medium sized, and have bathed them throughout the years. I'm less experienced with cats as I wasn't allowed one as a kid, but I would always play with and look after my friends' cats when I got the chance 😸 I'm currently a student at Michigan State University, with a part time job as an ice hockey referee. I am usually home 18 hours out of the day most of the days of the week! I live alone in an apartment on an upper floor. 650 sq. ft of space, so it's spacious. There is also an outdoor yard if needed. Caring for your pets will give me breaks between studying and homework! I will treat your pets as if they were my own, and making your pets happy will make me happy! 😊

About: I have taken care of dogs of all kinds since I was 13. From couch potato chihuahuas to energetic huskies I have experience simply letting them out for potty breaks to staying over for several nights. I also have a background administering medication to senior dogs who may require it. I’m currently working part time, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your fur babies! I’m available for boarding anytime after 1pm I have no pets of my own currently, but plenty of old toys and supplies from when my family had more dogs, food and water bowls, fresh balls etc. I live in a townhouse that has access to a large park nearby.
