“The best. She had my baby for 2 weeks and I didn’t worry one second. She sent pictures daily. He had the best time and was so well taken care of. I would recommend Baleigh to any one. Will always be my first choice in the watching my fur babies!”

“Sara and John were a great fit for my two high energy dogs. Their entire family loved having the dogs around and spent alot of time out doors or snuggled up. They were very communicative throught the entire stay as well and I received loads of pictures of my happy girls.”

“I had a great first experience with Rover, thanks to Martha! Martha took amazing care of my dog for a whole week in her home. I was nervous about leaving him because he's had behavioral issues in the past, but it worked out really well! Martha was very responsive from the start and experienced with rescue dogs. Martha was very accommodating of Bumi's daily medication schedule and prescription diet, as well as his rescue quirks. She sent pictures and updates which were great comforts to me. Bumi was clearly very happy and comfortable while he was boarding. I will not hesitate to book Martha again!”

“We are so happy with finding Jordan! Our lab looked so happy in all of the pics - we were afraid he wouldn’t want to come home! We will definitely be booking with Jordan again! He was super flexible and a great communicator. Highly recommend!”

“Sydney had a wonderful stay with Cari! Being this was her first stay we appreciated the pictures and updates from Cari. From the day we connected with Cari for a meet and greet she’s been prompt in her communication and her friendly and welcoming demeanor made us feel comfortable leaving Sydney. We highly recommend Cari!”

“What a great stay our puppy had with Mia. And our dog and hers were fast friends! Mia kept us updated on how the stay was going and treated with our dog with kindness and took care of all oir special needs. We will use Mia again for our dog boarding without hesitation.”

“Both of my pups had a great time with Breita and family as usual! Seeing how much fun they have always makes me feel better about leaving them behind when I have to travel out of town.”

About: I’ve been a dog and cat girl my whole life. From learning patience with young dogs at the age of 5 weeks old, to attending to a 14 -year-old dog, I have open-handedly experienced what it is like dealing with dogs of all ages. I have also dealt with the sassy teenager phase from both dogs and cats. When they are bored, they will make it known. The biggest take I have learned from taking care of dogs and cats is that they won’t always be on your timeline. You have to be extremely patient and take time to train them and be there for them. I’m currently looking for a part-time job, and I am going to school but I mainly take online classes, so I’ll have plenty of time to give your pets the attention they need. My schedule is pretty much free besides Wednesdays but if I’m boarding I am available. I have a fenced in mini pet park next to my apartment. Your furry companion will get all of the exercise he/she needs! My apartment is very cozy and safe, only smaller pets are allowed so there won’t be any issue with other pet owner neighbors.
“During the stay, Makayla provided regular updates with photos and videos, which put my mind at ease. It was clear that my dog was having a wonderful time and was being well taken care of. When I picked up my dog, he was happy, relaxed, and in great spirits. It was evident that he had received plenty of love, attention, and exercise. I highly recommend Makayla to anyone in need of a reliable, caring, and dedicated pet sitter.”

“KellyAnna was awesome to work with. Quick to respond initially. She was gracious enough to let us come over and get acquainted. My first visit I wasn't able to bring my dog with me. I had a special circumstance come up and we were able to come up with a good solution. Them we all came and visited the next day and everything went great. This was my first rover experience. I am so thrilled with this service. And KellyAnna was so helpful, I am very thankful for your ability to harbor Otis for 4 nights. Thank you, thank you!”

About: I raised a Golden Retriever for six years; he passed away in 2020. Now, I have an energetic Border Collie and a charming Mini Dachshund. I am fully capable of taking care of young age dogs and senior dogs. I'm a remote worker with ample time to devote to your adorable pet. With a fenced yard for endless play, your furry friend will have a blast! I have a secure fenced yard, medium and large crates available, and two friendly, playful companions; rest assured, your furry friend will never feel lonely.

“Lauren and her sister, Geneva, were so amazing when caring for our 2 adult cats! They were loving, great with providing pictures, offered solid, clear communication, and were so incredibly flexible when we needed to make changes to our reservation! We can tell our girls had a great time and were so loved while we were away!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
