About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! I've owned and cared for a variety of pets over the years and have experience with animals of different ages, personalities, and care needs. One of the most rewarding parts of my pet-care journey has been fostering. I'm currently a pet care specialist and foster with Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) and have also fostered for other shelters in the past. Through fostering, I've cared for pets who were shy, energetic, recovering from medical procedures, learning social skills, or simply looking for a safe place to land before finding their forever homes. I also have two dogs who don't currently live with me, but I absolutely love spending time with them whenever I can. Whether it's long walks, outdoor adventures, or hiking local trails, I'm happiest when I have a furry companion by my side. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. I work shorter shifts at Capital Area Humane Society, so my schedule allows me the flexibility to provide reliable and attentive care for pets throughout the week. I make it a priority to plan my day around the pets I'm caring for so they receive the attention, exercise, potty breaks, meals, and companionship they need. Whether your pet thrives on a structured routine or is more laid-back, I'm happy to work with their individual schedule and needs. Communication is important to me, so you can also expect regular updates, photos, and check-ins while you're away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. My approach is centered on safety, patience, and positive interactions. As a foster caregiver, I've worked with animals from many different backgrounds, which has taught me how to read body language, respect boundaries, and help pets feel comfortable in new situations. I carefully follow all owner instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, routines, and household rules. I believe every pet deserves individualized care and attention. My goal is to provide a safe, stress-free experience where both pets and owners feel confident and comfortable. You can count on me to treat your pets with the same love and care I would give my own.
“I can’t say enough good things about Sara and John! They went above and beyond caring for my two dogs this weekend—sending lots of pictures, keeping me updated, and even doing the cutest little activities with them. It was clear my pups were in great hands and having a wonderful time. I felt so comfortable and at ease knowing they were being so well cared for. Highly recommend!”

“Paige gets a 10 out of 5 stars from us! We were nervous about leaving our spunky puppy with anyone during our trip, and Paige was extraordinary. She and Decky were loving and took such great care of Maisy. Her care gave us the peace of mind we needed to enjoy our travels. She sent us so many photos and went above and beyond what we asked carewise. THANK YOU!!”

“Wonderful and thorough care. I never worried about my boy while gone for a week. She anticipated needs even I did not (full litter box change) and went above and beyond in other ways as well. She sends lots of updates which was a comfort while away. She cared for my boy cat Zissou as if her own. 1000% recommend! She will be who I use for any future needs.”

“Kimberly did a great job. She was prompt and kept me well informed on how my babies were doing, including photos. I would highly recommend her services and I would definitely schedule her again.”

“Lori dropped in to care for my cat for a long weekend. She did a great job, I really appreciated the detailed descriptions on my cat’s mood each day and the pictures.”

“What a delightful experience. Taylor is kind, prompt, knowledgeable, and professional. I will absolutely use her again. She was also super flexible when I had to change my plans last minute. Definitely recommend using her!”

“Laura is awesome! She took the time to meet with us prior to the visit and I knew she would be a perfect match for our two cats, Poppy and Noodle. She played with Poppy who looked to be having fun and was playful with Laura. Laura found the shy Noodle in her hiding spot and snapped a photo. The second day Noodle was out of hiding a little, which gave the chance for another photo but more importantly, showed me that even shy Noodle was comfortable with Laura, which is remarkable! Laura was thorough with her report and a very kind persisted. We appreciate her and will welcome her back!”

“Was awesome with our cats and did everything to make sure they were taken care of! Our one was hiding and she stayed longer to try to lure her out to feed her and ensure she was okay! Would recommend her and would use again.”

About: I've had dogs my whole life. I recently had to rehome our dog, but I am looking to walk/run/hangout with a dog that I can hangout with as well. I do work full time, but am looking to help if someone needs a morning walk or afternoon walk. I could also do some hours on the weekend if needed and I am not busy. I do not plan on caring in my own home as we have a baby. I really just am looking to walk a dog. Thanks.

“Karen sent us daily pictures of Max and kept us up to date. Karen dropped in one time per day to check on Max and make sure he was ok. Scooped litter boxes, and made sure he had food and water, and gave him some attention.”

“Elizabeth was great with Chewy, Harry, and Ollie over the holiday weekend. We’ve used her before and always feel comfortable leaving the cats with her. She’s reliable, communicative, and took great care of everyone while we were away. We’d definitely book with her again!”

About: I grew up with golden retrievers and have watched neighbor’s pets since I was 14. I just recently graduated from veterinary school and am waiting to start my job. I can handle basic at home medical care for your pets and can catch signs of illness to bring to your attention. Your pets are in good hands! My class schedule changes daily, but I am available most afternoons during the week and am available most weekends. Please just let me know when care is needed and I will try to figure it out. I cannot board any animals as I have my own cat who can be wary of new animals in the home, but I am happy to stay at your home if needed.

“I highly recommend Claire! She’s very considerate, reliable, and very great in communication! Everyday besides refilling food water and cleaning litterbox, she checked on whether my cat Pirate is doing well, paid special attention to his mood, and updated me with photos. I came back with everything in order and a happy kitty. I will not hesitate to rely on her again next time!”

“Alex was so helpful for us. We needed somewhere to put our dogs for an evening for my daughters graduation from MSU and a few hiccups came up along the way and Alex was able to accommodate a few last minute changes. She sent us pictures and videos so we would know the animals had settled in. Definitely would recommend her.”
“Jason and Kristen have taken such great care of our dog Eddie. He usually has separation anxiety, but always RUNS to their door to be played with and cared for by this family. My requests and quirks are respected, photos are sent and communication response is as close to immediate as one can be. I rest easily knowing my dog is in responsible, caring hands!!”

“We are the first timer as we are new to this place with no reference. We took a decision to go with Dustin and Sarah with our gut feeling and it turned out to be such an amazing experience. “Thank you so much for taking such good care of George! Thanks also for understanding about our trip being cancelled, but we’re so relieved to have a place for George to stay if we decide to rebook this summer. He came home tired and happy! And thanks for the cute pictures of him through the day, we were relieved since it was his first time ever away from us ❤️”

About: I have a lot of experience with dogs, from small ones to, well, for lack of a better word, titan ones. While I have not necessarily trained or cared for puppies, I have cared for dogs who were very very young. I am in between jobs right now and I enjoy finding excuses to spend time with animals, no matter what species they are. I have finished this semester's classes already and am open to any manner of dates to watch a mutt, feline or lizard. I have 2 cats that live with me at the moment but other than that, I have a modest living area, but I do not have a fence on the property.
“Cody did a wonderful job providing day-care for our two dogs! Lots of pictures sent and they both came home and fell right asleep from all the fun they had. Definitely will be reusing and highly recommend!”

We have a pretty hyper dog that needs a lot of time for long walks and Jennifer had no problems taking her for her needed long walks. She also gave lots of doggie snuggles and sent us pictures of our girl while they were out and about. Jennifer is very kind and loving toward our girl and we will most definitely use her any time we are away from home.”

“She has been amazing with Charlie! There was one day Charlie was choking a bit, and she reached out to let me know right away. She shows up every scheduled day on time! I know Charlie loves his walks with her.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs in 2017, when I was in fifth grade! Since then, I've become the trustworthy dog and house-sitter for my neighborhood, and have taken care of multiple households of pets at the same time! I also love to be active, and would love to take your pup on long (or short!) walks! I am home for summer for college, and have plenty of time to love on some dogs! I can walk dogs for ranging periods of time at any point during the day, and drop in at any time during the day! In clients home, I will make sure to keep pups in the approved areas, and give them lots of care during drop ins. I prefer to spend more time with the animals than less, and make sure they are loved on during the long days!!

“Beanie loves Kenzie! She is super reliable and on time even when it’s been days with crappy weather. Plus, she always gets the cutest, derpiest photo of Beanie for the walk card which makes me smile when I see it after their walk!”

Since adopting her as a senior, I have gained experience giving her a variety of medications and dealing with different quirks and challenges. I love both cats and dogs, and would love the chance to get to know your pets! I understand how stressful it can be to entrust your beloved friend to someone else, but I am a very responsible person who would treat your pets like I’d want someone to treat mine. I am able to accommodate most schedules and have a lot of open availability during the week, as well as most weekends. I’m able to be flexible to meet the needs of you and your pets! I am unable to offer boarding services in my own home. When providing drop-in visits or other services in your home, I’m happy to be flexible! About: Hi! My name is Michelle. I'm on the board of a local dog rescue so I have a lot of experience with all breeds and personalities. I'm also the president of a foundation that gives scholarships to the families of pets with emergency veterinary medical bills that they can't afford. For several years I have been very involved in the Lansing area dog community. I'm extremely passionate about helping and taking care of animals. My own dogs are my whole world so I understand the worry of trusting someone else with your dog. I have made a career out of protecting dogs, saving them, and loving them as I love my own. I work from home so I have a very flexible schedule to be able to help you with your own sweet babies. I also have a lot of experience with special needs dogs. I have my own and have taken care of many in our rescue. I look forward to meeting your super sweet fur kids!

About: I have been around and taken care of dogs since I could remember. I have been trusted to house and dog sit by family members and I have worked with all sizes and breeds. I am currently a senior at Michigan State University studying Kinesiology. I love staying active and have a passion for animals, so what better than combining the two together?! I currently live with roommates and one small dog. I do not offer boarding services, but I do love living and caring for animals on a daily basis.
About: I grew up as a kid taking care of our family dog, taking her on walks, playing with her outside, and all the other things that come with dogs. I now have several cats and play with them, clean their litter, and everything that a cat needs and loves. I eventually would love a dog of my own one day and want the experience to prepare myself! I work at a school and have the summer off, so I currently have all the time in the world and most days and times available. In my home, I make sure to give all of my pets attention throughout the day. When they want pets, I give them pets; when they want to be left alone, I give them space. They come to me for love and affection and I love them with my whole heart.
“Lisa is delightful and a great communicator. She is reliable and so good with my senior chihuahua mix, Mika. It is very comforting to know Lisa also has a senior chihuahua, and is very experienced with dog care. I am happy Mika seems to really enjoy her walks with Lisa and was able to get comfortable with her fast. Lisa takes her time and is in tune with Mika’s needs. I feel bad on days I have to leave Mika alone at home for so long for work, so it means the world to me that Lisa makes sure her time with Mika is quality bonding.”

“She took very good care of my pup while I was away. Loved that she got to know her prior to her stay and made her feel comfortable. Loved getting updates as well. Would definitely book Alice again!”

“Alexandra and her family spoiled my dog with attention in the best way possible. Alexandra gave me frequent updates and photos so I could know my dog was in great hands. I wholeheartedly recommend Alexandra to anyone who needs a safe, fun, welcoming home for their doggo to crash at!”

“Mandy was excellent to work with. Our meet and greet went was easy to schedule and set up and then the booking went smoothly from there. When we dropped Dexie off her family was able to engage with him and help keep him happy. We appreciated her communication and the care she gave Dexie throughout his stay with her!”

About: I've grown up with spayed/unspayed dogs, tiny and medium sized, and have bathed them throughout the years. I'm less experienced with cats as I wasn't allowed one as a kid, but I would always play with and look after my friends' cats when I got the chance 😸 I'm currently a student at Michigan State University, with a part time job as an ice hockey referee. I am usually home 18 hours out of the day most of the days of the week! I live alone in an apartment on an upper floor. 650 sq. ft of space, so it's spacious. There is also an outdoor yard if needed. Caring for your pets will give me breaks between studying and homework! I will treat your pets as if they were my own, and making your pets happy will make me happy! 😊
