Our three boys love dogs, and are very active in playing, walking, and taking care of dogs who stay with us. We also have a very friendly, calm, and personable (spayed) family dog who loves company.

We cannot recommend Pete and his family highly enough. We asked them to take care of our almost 15 year old Lab for over two weeks while we were out of the country. They sent regular updates, so we felt like we knew what was going on, and they were patient and understanding of the stress she experienced as she settled in. When we came to pick her up, she went to follow Pete back into the house, clearly showing how well-cared for she was. We would happily rebook with them again!
Thank you for taking great care of Lily while we were away and giving updates on the fun she was having. Would definitely have her stay with you all again. She had a blast!
Pete and his family were great from the start! His communication was extremely punctual before/during his time dog sitting. He was flexible with drop off and pick up times and allowed for a meet-and-greet in advance to ensure everyone was in agreement that my dog would be happy at their home. During my dogs stay, Pete provided me with photos, videos and entertaining commentary about her which gave me peace of mind knowing she was happy and safe. The family took her on several walks a day and allowed her time outdoors which is important for her given that she is a Husky and requires exercise. I would definitely recommend Pete to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter and have every intention of reaching out to them in the future!

Schedule
One of us works from home every day of the week. Dogs go on walks 4-5x/day (a mix of short and longer walks). Dogs are allowed outside whenever possible (on a lead). Our dog is rarely home alone, but when she is, we make the environment safe and dog-friendly as possible.

Dogs are given free rein of the house when we are home. Dogs are restricted to the living room, and the family room when we they are home alone. Walks happen 4-5X/day (starting at ~6:00am, and ending at 9:00pm). Dogs are allowed out on the back deck, and in the back yard (tied up safely on a backyard lead)
Pets
A typical day
We have three kids (age 12, 10, 5) who love playing with dogs! We engage in lots of play-time at home (tug-of-war, fetch, zoomies), along with a myriad of outdoor activities. We take our dog on 4-5 walks per day, ranging from a half-mile loop around our block, to a light 1-mile jog, to a hike at the local nature trails. First walk of the day is typically ~6am. Last walk of the day is typically ~9pm.

- As this is a family home, it is important that your dog is good with children, and other dogs. Our family dog, Arcadia, is very chill, and loves having other dogs around to hang out with.
