About: I’ve taken care of pets in all shapes and sizes all my life. This includes pet care for animal therapy organizations, animal shelters, friends, and family. As a previous pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone who can give your pet the best they deserve, and I would love to be that person! I am a current PhD student at MSU so my schedule is pretty flexible outside of my classes, making most of my mornings and evenings available for booking I live right next to one of the entrances to the Northern Tier Trail, so I have easy access to a safe and fun walkable area for your pups!
“Thanks! Elizabeth has been in a great Sitter for my dog Patti. She’s left detailed reviews and pictures each drop in. Even though she only was asked to watch my doggo, she spent some time loving on my kitties too. This is my second time booking with her and I would highly recommend. ❤️”

About: I have over a decade of experience caring for the pets of friends, family, and neighbors. The last two summers, I've worked as a long-term housesitter in Ann Arbor, taking care of two dogs and two cats. I'm comfortable with pets of all ages and exercise needs, and I can administer medications for your pets. I would love to meet your cat or dog and make a new furry friend! I'm a student at MSU, where my class schedule tends to have midday breaks and open evenings. I am occasionally out of town on weekends, but I'm typically in East Lansing and available for drop-ins, walks, and housesitting. I will care for your pets with a calm, attentive energy whether they need someone to chill with them and provide pets, or they want active playtime and a long walk. I treat everyone's home with respect and always clean up after myself and your pets!
“Lori did a wonderful job watching my pets! She does a great job following the directions I leave for her and she spends lots of quality time with them while I am away. She always gives prompt updates and sends plenty of photos!”

“We have used Morgan three times now and she has been amazing! Our dog is a senior dog with diabetes. She is deaf, blind and insulin dependent and Morgan has been great with her! She has been extremely reliable and responsive. She has also left the house in great shape each time she has stayed over. I have zero complaints.”

“Ashley was so amazing during my whole trip! She was super flexible and very detailed in her updates plus tons of photos. Definitely will be booking with her again next time I need to go on a trip 💖”

“She is a very nice young lady and appears to be very reliable and sharp. Her parents did well. We are looking forward to having her stay with our Lucy and Lola on a regular basis as it fits her schedule.”

About: Hi, I'm Moira! I have had pets all my life but have pet sitting for the last 2 years for family and friends. I love all dogs and cats and I can guarantee lots of loving. I am currently a full-time student at Michigan State but I am free after 12pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday and free on weekends. I am super flexible so don't be afraid to reach out! I am very easygoing and will do everything that's expected of me. I appreciate a clear written list that describes exactly what to do preferences so I ensure the safety and trust for your beloved pet.

“We had such a wonderful experience with Christine! She cared for our dog, Winston, and our cat for 7 days with twice-daily visits, and we truly couldn’t have asked for better support while we were away. Christine went above and beyond—she sent photos at every visit, gave Winston extra time on his walks on several days, brought in our mail, and even took out our trash. It meant so much to us to know our pets (and home) were being cared for so thoughtfully. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and a clean space, and had complete peace of mind the entire time we were gone. We’re so grateful and would absolutely recommend Christine to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, reliable, and genuinely caring. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Lizz came by twice a day to take care of our three cats while we were away. One of our cats needed a daily inhaler, and she handled it wonderfully. The cats loved playing with Lizz, and having her there gave us such peace of mind knowing our fur babies were well cared for. We will definitely book with her again!”

“So thankful for Katerina as she came by on such a short notice. She played outside with him for almost the whole 30 minutes. She is a reliable & caring dog sitter! Totally recommend.”

“Loren is awesome! Our plans changed due to weather and Covid. Loren was flexible and thoughtful. I’m always anxious about leaving my dogs and cat but with Loren I knew they were well taken care of putting my mind at ease.”

“Denni was great! Exceedingly professional and available on short notice, even to do a meet-and-greet before booking, she was quickly able to charm our rather large, rather anxious dog along with the more easygoing members of the pack.”

I’m currently working remotely so I am available most weekdays and all weekends. I am also available to take on more unusual times such as very early in the morning or night! About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is something I truly love. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, personalities, and medical needs—from energetic puppies to senior dogs requiring daily medications, mobility assistance, and close observation. I am especially comfortable caring for senior and special-needs dogs. Currently, I care for three senior dogs of my own, including a 14-year-old dog with mobility and nerve issues who requires daily assistance, a deaf senior dog who needs patience and consistency, and a blind retired hunting dog who still loves spending time outdoors. Because of my experience, I understand how important it is to notice subtle changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, and overall health. I am highly detail-oriented and take pet care seriously. Whether that means following medication schedules exactly, sticking to feeding routines, monitoring activity levels, or providing updates and photos for owners, I treat every dog as if they were my own. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care, and I work hard to provide peace of mind while you're away. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I have volunteered as a foster home and have experience helping dogs adjust to new environments, routines, and people. I am comfortable with shy, anxious, senior, and medically complex dogs, and I enjoy taking the time to build trust at each dog's pace. My goal is simple: to provide safe, loving, dependable care so your dog feels comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you're away. My work schedule offers flexibility, which allows me to accommodate pet visits, walks, and drop-in care throughout the week. Just as importantly, I am honest about my availability. If I cannot provide the level of care and attention your pet deserves on a particular day or for a specific request, I will communicate that upfront rather than overcommit. I believe pets thrive with consistency, patience, and dependable care. Whether your dog needs a quick potty break, a long walk, medication administration, or extra attention due to age or medical needs, I will make sure their routine is followed and they feel safe and comfortable while you're away. Clear communication and reliability are priorities for me, and I provide regular updates so owners have peace of mind knowing their pets are being well cared for. When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both the pets and the property with the same respect and attention I would expect for my own. As an owner of short-term rental properties, I understand the importance of being trustworthy, detail-oriented, and respectful while in someone else's space. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, routines, house rules, and any special care needs. I pay close attention to details and enjoy getting to know each pet's personality, habits, and preferences. I am also comfortable monitoring senior pets and those with medical needs, recognizing subtle changes that may require an owner's attention. At this time, I am not accepting pets into my own home, so my services are focused on caring for pets in their familiar environment. I believe many pets are happiest and least stressed when they can remain in their own home and maintain their normal routines.
“It was my first time at Rover app I was a little worried about but Lashyia was much more then I do expect from my pet’s sitting. I have 2 small dogs and they was so happy to having her every day while we were out. She is caring and did everything I did ask for, actually she did more. Thank you so much Lashyia”

Okemos dog parents share their Rover experiences
Our dog is generally nervous around new people and gets a little protective over his family and stuff, but Zach handled it very well and eased our pup into his first visit. By the end they were best buds and my dog was giving him hugs! I appreciate the professionalism Zach portrayed and the regular updates he gave to know all was going well and our pup was happy with him.
Avneet was soo good with my super high energy fur baby, Apollo. She showed up on time, was attentive and followed my instructions. She communicated with me daily and put my mind at ease by sending me photos of Apollo having fun with her. I would confidently recommend her to anyone in need of a sitter!
