Pet care experience
Calm, Caring, and Attentive
Growing up, my family always had cats and dogs, and I cherished every moment spent caring for them. Over my life I’ve cared for a variety of small pets, including guinea pigs, gerbils, degus, hamsters, freshwater fish, and turtles. I’ve personally raised cats, dogs, and guinea pigs of my own. I've been hired by friends, family, and friends of friends&family to care for dogs as drop-ins, over night stays, and boarding in my home (although I cannot offer boarding right now). Currently, I have a Pomeranian named Bonbon that I raised from a puppy, giving me valuable experience in training and care and motivation to continue learning about dog behavior and understanding their needs, which helps me create a safe and loving environment for pets of all ages. I take special care to follow any dietary or health needs your pets may have. I will care for your pet by paying close attention to their habits and behaviors to ensure I meet their needs while you're away.

Safety, trust & environment
I cannot care for pets in my home at this time, but I have experience staying with pets at their homes for up to two weeks. I prioritize following the instructions provided by pet owners and always ask clarifying questions to ensure I understand their needs - communication is key for me, as I prefer not to make assumptions. In emergencies, I remain calm and focused, ensuring the safety and well-being of the pets. Additionally, I respect the owner's home, treating it better than if it were my own.
Ratings and reviews
I love having Nicolas dog and cat sit. Lots of updates, pictures, and attention to pet moods and needs. Highly recommend 🫶

I was nervous leaving my pets for a trip since I haven’t used this app but before but Nicolas let me know with plenty of updates that my pets were safe and getting lots of attention. Nicolas noticed their personalities and gave them lots of play time, updating me with pictures and details on how they were doing. Would 11/10 recommend Nicolas as a dog or house sitter. Thank you!

Nicolas is very reliable and easy to communicate with. I really appreciate his attentiveness to my senior chihuahua. He really took the time to understand her needs and comfort levels. Arranging a meet-and-greet prior to the booking was one of the many ways he demonstrated how much he prioritizes that. I really loved the detailed notes, photos, and videos. He was so great with Mika, and I can tell she enjoyed her sessions with him too. I definitely recommend Nicolas and would love to use his services again.

Nicolas house-sat and is great with my pup. Sent daily updates and photos which made me feel comfortable. Mozbark loved him, as well. Would definitely recommend using Nicolas in the future.

Nicholas is an amazing pet owner. I have had dogs my entire life and I have never seen a dog treated as well and cared for as much as his. He brushes her teeth every night makes sure she always has new toys. Grooms her daily and always makes sure she takes several walks. It is also worth mentioning he has kept guinea pigs in better conditions than I have ever seen leading to them living very long lives.
Nicolas has taken care of my basset hound, Bilbo, on several occasions. He's taken him on much needed walks, fed him the proper portions on a specific schedule, and has given him lots of much needed play time to help him get out all of his pent up energy. Bilbo has a lot of anxiety and some behavioral issues due to being a rescue and Nicolas handled all of it very well. He's very responsible and I'd trust him with my boy any day!

Schedule
I work remotely with a pretty flexible schedule and daily work routine - which allows me to step away and do walks, potty breaks, feeding pretty frequently. Depending on the type of care, I would typically need at least 3 to 7 days notice, but don't hesitate to ask if you're in a pinch.
