“Had a wonderful experience with Breanne! We had to book a sitter with only a few days notice and she was willing to help us out. She sent us pictures of our cat every day and even offered to clean the bowls and the couple spots of puke our cat left. Amazing! Will definitely book her again when we need it!”

“I'm so happy I met Shelbie. I chose her blind because she also has a golden doodle, and as soon as she came for a pre-visit, I knew she was the right person because she understood this breed's behavior and needs. Shelbie Is very responsive, and for this, I am grateful because work takes me away during the day sometimes at last minute. I love her clear communication and the photos make me smile.”

“Alex was great! He was very communicative about my pets and let me know what time he was arriving and leaving each day. He made sure our boy cat got his medicine and was really good about getting our picky cat to eat away from the others. He sent pictures each day, which was very comforting. He also brought in packages from our mail securely in the house, which was extra helpful.”
“Liz is such a sweetheart and took great care of my cat while I was traveling. Was kind enough to water my plants as well. The daily photos and updates put my mind at ease knowing my baby was being well cared for”

“Phenomenal dog sitter/walker! Was extremely communicative, sweet with our girls and quick on her feet! (Cleaning one of girls recovery suits when she had a small accident in it)! Highly recommend Megan for anyone looking for high quality care for your dogs!”

“Elizabeth is great, always caring and attentive! This is the second time she’s watched my cat, it feels great to have a sitter I know I can trust when I’m out of town.”

“Abby did great doing drop-in visit with our 2 cats and corgi. She followed instructions and even went to extra effort to make sure our cat with a sensitive stomach doesn't eat the other cat's food. She also walked our pup twice within the one hour drop-in visit which is very much appreciated. We're definitely rebooking with her in the future!”

“Sheri was fantastic! She played with my ball-fetching cat and was patient with my skittish diva. She updated me on her twice daily visits. She gave me peace of mind while I was away from home. Great!!”
“Katie is an amazing pet sitter! She is a pet whisperer and got our shy cats to feel comfortable. She is kind and compassionate. Looking forward to having her pet sit again when needed.”

About: I am an MSU alum graduated from MSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021, and a huge animal lover! I have had many dogs and cats growing up so i have always had furry friends as a huge part of my life. I began pet sitting for my parents friends when i was in grade school and continued whenever a friend asked throughout college. Throughout veterinary school I was a Rover sitter and pet sit furry friends locally as well as my classmates animals during breaks and holidays. I always make sure to discuss what is going to be most comfortable and convienient for the animal and their dog or cat mom/dad! I am a small animal resident at MSU and I am looking forward to helping take care of my communities' animals at work and in my free time!! From my career, to my beagle buddies at home, animals are my life. I am so excited for the opportunity to get to know other animal lovers in my area while taking care of their babies!! I am a full time veterinarian but looking to help on evenings, weekends, and holidays with drop-in visits, boarding, pet sitting, and walks for fellow animal lovers in the mid-Michigan area Being a veterinarian, I am very comfortable taking care of all animals and have 2 dogs of my own with health conditions that I lovingly care for each day! I will take care of your animals as if they were my own and offer as much love and commitment as I care for my patients!
About: I am currently studying dog training and actively working toward professional certification. I focus on positive reinforcement, reading canine body language, and creating calm, structured environments tailored to each dog’s needs. This allows me to provide safe, thoughtful care, especially for dogs who are anxious, high-energy, or need consistency. Pet care is part of my everyday routine. I keep days structured with regular walks, enrichment, and downtime, and I work from home so pets are rarely left alone. This works especially well for dogs who do better with consistency or need a calmer environment. I provide pet sitting in my clients’ homes so pets can stay in their own familiar environment. I follow your routines closely, including feeding, walks, medication if needed, and enrichment, while keeping stress low and schedules consistent.
About: I have had animals my whole life. I did volunteer work at a humane society for 5 years, I also have been a groomer for the past 10 years. WeI am currently a stay-at-home mom, my hours are very flexible! Working around clients schedule would be just fine. Open to anything & everything! 🙂 I know how to give medication if needed, clean up after animals if needed and safely walk dogs. Good at following instructions to a t.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Windsor Charter Township. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
