Amber house sat with my dog and cat for the second time this summer. She goes above and beyond. Takes the dog for walks without being asked. Has gotten the dog a couple new toys. And made friends with my standoffish cat. Truly an animal lover and it shows.

Thalia was such an amazing sitter to our pitties!! They warmed up to her instantly and it was a wonderful feeling that we could relax knowing that our doggies were in good hands with her! This being our first time using Rover, it was a blessing that Thalia made the experience so much better! We trusted her with our overly energetic Fiona and laid back old man dog Flash and would love to have her again! 100% recommend Thalia to anyone to look after their fur babies! Thanks again!! 💙

Jaime took absolutely wonderful care of my three dogs while I was out of town. I cannot highly recommend her enough. She sent daily updates and lots of pictures. She is obviously super knowledgeable about dogs and was able to win over my skeptical and reactive guy. When I came home, I think the dogs were a little disappointed. I wasn’t her.

Camdyn watched our two dogs for four nights in our home and did an AMAZING job. She provided meds for one dog daily and took both dogs on daily hikes. She sent daily updates to me (she asked how often to message me before we left) and the house was super clean when we got home and you couldn’t even tell she was there the whole time. My dogs were super happy when we got home and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience (especially for the first time ever leaving our dogs). Thanks so much, Camdyn!

We had a fantastic experience with Christopher! He was prompt and responsive during booking and incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay. He was so patient, understanding, and easygoing with our Floydie, who has anxiety and past trauma from an abusive situation, which meant the world to us. Christopher sent regular updates and photos that gave us total peace of mind, and we came home to our house exactly as we left it. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a thoughtful, reliable sitter.

I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter than Jessa. We have three dogs which can be a lot, and like many pet parents I experience anxiety leaving them. But on this vacation I didn’t worry for a second! Jessa sent pictures, had great communication and my animals absolutely adored her. Amazing experience!

Kerri is an absolutely amazing dog sitter — truly one of the best out there. She’s reliable, caring and someone we trust completely with Pearl and our home. Her communication is fantastic! She keeps us updated with plenty of photos, which always make our day. Pearl adores her so much that we wonder if we should be jealous ;-) And honestly, we want to gatekeep Kerri because she’s that good… but we won’t (even though a part of us really wants to). If you’re looking for someone who will love your dog like their own and keep you in the loop the whole time, Kerri is the one.

Seriously, if you want a dependable, reliable, thoughtful and really nice person to care for your pet & home, then look no further than Lauren. She really does have that "Magic Touch" with pets.

About: I have 3 cats currently and their names are Mocha, Renato and Kazu. I have had a total of 4 years of cat experience. They are my bestest friends ever and I love them all :)!! I've had dogs in my home since I was a little kid. We had 3 dogs when I was growing up and their names were Princess, Bandit and Chloe and I had known these dogs since I was born and I miss them so much. I have taken care of a family friends' dog also and his name is Max. Since knowing him, I have always helped take care of him. We would take him on walks, I would feed him and give him treats, throw a ball with him outside and even watch TV with him! My availability is completely open! I will be able to take care of your pet friends at any time that is best for you :)! Morning - night time, I will be available. I feed my cats Mocha, Renato and Kazu 3 times every day and I clean their litter box very regularly. They are very playful so I make sure I have many toys for them so they can stay active and happy. I always have string toys and toys with bells in them for them because they are their favorites. I engage with them during play time and I always make sure they are having fun.

We rarely leave our two chihuahuas home and so we were delighted to meet Emily and have her sit at the house for an entire week. Emily was responsible, very communicative, sweet to our girls and, above all, with them most of each day. We will definitely ask Emily to sit for our girls again! Annie + Craig

Helen watched our dogs, Sophie and Tala, and house sat for us over the weekend, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything went. She took great care of the dogs, and it gave us real peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. When we got back, the house was left clean and virtually untouched—it looked just as we left it. Helen was reliable, respectful, and easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. We would absolutely recommend her and would gladly have her watch our dogs and home again in the future!

Devona has been taking care of our schnauzer, Hannah, for over a year, and we couldn’t be happier with the care she provides. Whether it’s overnight stays, afternoon visits, weekends away, birthdays, or long shifts at work, we always know Hannah is in great hands. Devona is incredibly professional, reliable, and communicative. She keeps us updated with messages and photos, which gives us so much peace of mind while we’re away. It’s clear that she genuinely loves animals. We completely trust Devona and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, dependable, and trustworthy dog sitter!

Kaylie was amazing with my senior dog, Roger, who doesn’t yet realize he’s a senior. She watched him over Thanksgiving weekend, dropped in thanksgiving morning, drove several hours to her family dinner, and came back to walk him again that evening! She wasn’t able to stay at my place but made sure to stay decently late and come back pretty early to walk him each day, and hung out most of the day, running an errand here and there. Roger did have an accident at some point, unfortunately not uncommon with his medical issues, and not only did she clean it up with the spray and paper towel I left out, she also ran my carpet cleaner over the spot! Absolutely above and beyond care. She kept me updated, sent pictures, and made sure to put his sweater on when walking him in the snow.

FAQs for House Sitting - Delta Charter

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Delta Charter on Rover is $27.75 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 425 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Delta Charter. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Delta Charter walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Delta Charter maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Delta Charter choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Delta Charter. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
