“Lisa made our weekend trip stress free. She cared for our two pups and our home, and left everything better than she found it. Pups were happy and relaxed when we got home. Looking forward to having Lisa care for our dogs again!”

“We loved having Erik as a dog sitter, he was attentive, sent us photo & videos everyday & was trustworthy to have in our house being that we didn’t know him prior. He loves animals & he’s a great guy to hire. Will def use him again!”

“Olivia was absolutely wonderful! She took care of both of my babies for me sent me pictures multiple times a day gave me updates and even left the house looking exactly how I left it! I will 100% have her watch them again”

“Chris has watched Sadie 2 times now, he has taken excellent care of our home and our very anxious old lady. He’s very enjoyable person to chat with as well and made us feel very comfortable entrusting him. 10/10 would recommend and will continue to use him exclusively if his schedule permits it.”

“Morgan was very accommodating and responsive. She sent us pictures of the dogs while we were away, and the house was neat and clean when we returned. We would use her again.”

“I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter than Jessa. We have three dogs which can be a lot, and like many pet parents I experience anxiety leaving them. But on this vacation I didn’t worry for a second! Jessa sent pictures, had great communication and my animals absolutely adored her. Amazing experience!”

“Meghan was wonderful with our 2 dogs and I would love to have her dog sit in the future. She was thoughtful, respectful, followed instructions and took great care of our dogs. She has great communication and sent us daily updates and pictures. She has alot of experience with animals and it shows!”

“Tennille bonded with our cat and dog right away and was very responsive to learning about our senior dog's needs. We had great communication leading up to and during our time away.”
“Jamie took great care of our dog! Our 6 mo old puppy had just been spayed and was coming off a week and a half of very little activity so was pretty crazy but Jamie took it all in stride. She was personable, communicated well, texted updates, and even sent pictures! It was clear that she enjoys dogs - even our overly excited one. We look forward to hiring her again.”

“We had a meet-and-greet prior to the house/dogsitting and our dog liked Abby immediately. She walked our dog daily even in winter and gave us updates with photos. We returned to a clean and tidy house and a happy dog! Thanks, Abby!”

“Shelbie was so great with my shy kitty from the start - she warmed right up to her! She was super communicative and sent lots of updates during an overnight stay, including an incident of my cat throwing up + updates on how well she was eating afterward. I would recommend her to anyone!”

About: Work gives me the ability to work from home, and now that I currently don't have any furry friends at home, I use that time to petsit when owners are out of town for extended periods of time. I have owned cats for as long as I can remember. And often dogs as well. My schedule is fairly flexible, with the ability to work from home often. And can cater to your pet care needs :) Every pet- just like every person- is unique and different Also available for house sitting or check ins (with or w/o pets) plant care, mail pick up, etc if needed or wanted. I’d love to have a meet and greet with you and your pet prior to setting up services so you and your pet can get to know me more :) Currently working full time but with the ability to work from home. I don't have pets at home right now so I am able to spend time pet sitting for others, whether drop ins or house/pet/plant sitting for short or long periods- whatever the need may be. Typically traveling to clients. I can either stay in home w your pet for whatever period of time you prefer, drop by however often, or adjust however is needed. I am hopeful to be able to host pets at my home soon as well.
“Layla watched our very anxious dog for a week. He has serious separation anxiety and she was WONDERFUL! Her patience with him was outstanding, she made him comfortable and gave him so much love. I can not recommend her enough. Thank you Layla!”

“Lashyia was a fantastic and reliable pet sitter who went above and beyond in watching my 3-month old puppy. She worked on training with her and left everything clean and tidy. I absolutely recommend her and plan to use her services again when I’m next out of town.”

Anel was excellent! She was very communicative, sending photos and updates daily. My house was clean and my dogs were happy! She even went to the store to pick them up calming chews after they got scared of the fireworks going off for the holiday. I will definitely be requesting her again in the future!

Erik is great! He was so kind & always made sure he was letting us know how our dog was doing & adjusting. He made our first time experience with ROVER an excellent one & helped us feel so comfortable. He’s a very caring person & has a kind nature about him. I’d never hesitate to book him again! THANK YOU ERIK!!

Kerri is an absolutely amazing dog sitter — truly one of the best out there. She’s reliable, caring and someone we trust completely with Pearl and our home. Her communication is fantastic! She keeps us updated with plenty of photos, which always make our day. Pearl adores her so much that we wonder if we should be jealous ;-) And honestly, we want to gatekeep Kerri because she’s that good… but we won’t (even though a part of us really wants to). If you’re looking for someone who will love your dog like their own and keep you in the loop the whole time, Kerri is the one.

We couldn't be happier with the service provided by Morgan. Our Cooper was well cared for and we appreciated the updates and photos throughout the stay. The house was in great shape too! It's rare to find someone you can trust with your pet and your home, and we've found exactly that. We recommend Morgan to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter!

Kaylie was amazing with my senior dog, Roger, who doesn’t yet realize he’s a senior. She watched him over Thanksgiving weekend, dropped in thanksgiving morning, drove several hours to her family dinner, and came back to walk him again that evening! She wasn’t able to stay at my place but made sure to stay decently late and come back pretty early to walk him each day, and hung out most of the day, running an errand here and there. Roger did have an accident at some point, unfortunately not uncommon with his medical issues, and not only did she clean it up with the spray and paper towel I left out, she also ran my carpet cleaner over the spot! Absolutely above and beyond care. She kept me updated, sent pictures, and made sure to put his sweater on when walking him in the snow.

I could not recommend Layne more!!! He went above and beyond to ensure my pup was well taken care of and keeping me updated. With a friendly attitude and extensive knowledge on dog behavior I felt confident leaving King in his care. He asked all the right questions and even left a well informed note about their day to day while I was gone. I feel very lucky to have been able to book such a great sitter so last minute. Thank you Layne!!! 🐾🐾🐾

Josephine is great! She was always on top of communication and would reply almost immediately. When our flight got delayed she was very flexible and let us extend the booking and helped us with other unforeseen circumstances. While we were away we got plenty of pictures and we came home to a happy doggo. She was very respectful of our space and care instructions we had for Piper. I am so glad I found Josephine and will definitely be booking with her again!

FAQs for House Sitting - Edgemont Park
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Edgemont Park on Rover is $37.45 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 466 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Edgemont Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Edgemont Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Edgemont Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Edgemont Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Edgemont Park. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
