About: I’ve cared for all different types of animals for over 10 years. My fiancé, Alex, has had two dogs of his own and is currently studying animal science while working at a veterinary clinic. Between the two of us, your pets will be in experienced, loving hands and treated like our own. Alex and I are both students, so our schedules can vary throughout the week. However, between the two of us, we have time to stop in throughout the day for walks, check-ins, and care. Surprisingly, our weekends are usually the least busy, giving us even more flexibility. I prioritize keeping your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. Before caring for them, I like to meet the owner and pet, learn their routine, and understand the home’s layout. From feeding times to walks, playtime, and anything else they’re used to, I’ll follow their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and at ease.

About: I have a frenchton puppy named Julius and grew up with dogs all my life. I love all types of dogs. I have experience dealing with all types of dogs. I can walk, rollerblade, run with your dog. I can play with them. I will also bathe and brush your dog. I know how to potty train dogs and how to train them to do tricks. I have never really ever had a probably with dogs. I’m okay if a dog bites or nips are me. I’m okay with dogs that jump on you. I can make sure they don’t get into things/ tear things up. I’m also pretty good about people cancelling on me at the last me. I live in Lansing and don’t mind traveling outside of that. I’m currently in Law School and have classes Monday through Friday and usually one or two classes a day in two hour blocks. Besides that I’m free outside of classes and I usually have free weekends for sitting. In the client home, I treat the animal as they are the king or queen of the house. It would always just be me in your house and no one else. Your pet is my first priority when sitting for you!
About: I absolutely love animals and would love to take care of yours. I can take care of the biggest dog down to the tiniest fish. Just give me the instructions and I'll follow it to a T! Any health concerns will be mentioned right away during my time with your pet, including grooming (such as nail clipping, long nails are detrimental to a dog's health!), and anything that may seem off that was not initially mentioned. I will make sure they are clean and prepped for your return and can provide as many updates be it photos or text with no problem at all. I have some knowledge on training, so if you need an attitude fix or help with basic training, I can definitely try! I can take bites, scratches, barking, hissing, etc. 9 times outta 10, it was probably my fault I got bit/scratched anyway because I wasn't paying attention to their body language. My schedule is currently open to any time you need me to take care of your loved ones! Even the most complicated schedule is doable. I supervise all animals no matter their situation. I make sure they're behaving normally and whatever the protocol is for when I'm away from home, that is followed exactly. For instance, I kennel my dog(s) when I leave from my home so they don't get into anything dangerous or tear up the household. I have had one client where I needed to kennel one dog downstairs and the other kept upstairs and have a baby gate seperate the floors. Another client requested I exercise their dog first before leaving the home for any extended period of time.
About: I was a primary caretaker for my senior family dog and now a full time caretaker for my lizard and two new dogs. All my life I have gravitated to as well as enjoyed pets and the responsibility that comes with them. About: I have had a dog in my family since I was a toddler. In my life, my family has had one Golden Retriever, and 6 Pomeranians. We rescued 3 of these pups! And all at one time, we had 4 Pomeranians - making me have to really help out with training and dog care. My family has always been passionate about animals, specifically dogs. We emphasize the importance of taking care of a pet as if it’s a family member. I grew up helping take care of them: Training, walks, runs, bike rides, meals, hiking, car rides, cuddles, brushing, baths, vet appointments. sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
