“Lori did a wonderful job watching my pets! She does a great job following the directions I leave for her and she spends lots of quality time with them while I am away. She always gives prompt updates and sends plenty of photos!”

“she did a great job! i would appreciate some more timeliness when it comes to coming to visit at the scheduled time, but eggplant was happy when we came home and pictures were shared!”

“Ashley was an amazing sitter for our 5 month old kitties while we were away for 2 days :) Our kitties absolutely LOVED her and she went above and beyond what we requested. She came morning and night, played, feed, cleaned their litter boxes and even washed their dirty dishes - she also shared a ton of photos, so that was nice since we missed them :) Thank you!!!”

About: I've taken care of pets my entire life! Not only do I have a cat of my own, but I pet-sit for several neighbors/friends of the family and have always been asked back next time they need a sitter. I pride myself on listening to pets and making sure they're comfortable with me; I love learning the unique preferences of every animal! I'm currently working part-time on much my own schedule, so at the moment I am available 24/7. It is my intention for pet care to be my primary job! As I have a cat, I do my best to make sure there isn't fur on my clothes before caring for your pet(s). Additionally, I wash my hands before and after each pet/household. I love playing with any animal and am happy to run around and participate in higher-energy play if needed. I also tailor care to each animal; while I have a usual routine in terms of order of operations (if there's feeding, medicine, cleaning), how each animal is treated depends on their preferences and personality. Unchanging is the respect and care I show to every pet.
“Emily is very professional on time. Great with animals and overall a very kind person. I would recommend her to anyone when she’s in the area. I will be going through her again. Thank you, Emily.”

“Braxton and Marvin were two very happy cats when we returned home from our trip. Z took such wonderful care of our fur babies and our home. We received pictures from Z every day after every drop-in, which helps me when I'm away from our boys. We will definitely rebook with Z in the future!”

“Wonderful and thorough care. I never worried about my boy while gone for a week. She anticipated needs even I did not (full litter box change) and went above and beyond in other ways as well. She sends lots of updates which was a comfort while away. She cared for my boy cat Zissou as if her own. 1000% recommend! She will be who I use for any future needs.”

“Cheyenne was very communicative while watching our kitties and I enjoyed reading her detailed report cards after each visit. All three cats seemed very relaxed and comfortable when we got home”

About: Hey my name is Jade. I’m a stay at home girlfriend looking for cats to spoil. I grew up with a handsome feline named Marometas (spanish for cartwheel) and am looking for cats to keep me (and my boyfriend) company. We’ve love to have cats of our own but unfortunately it’s just not in our budget therefore I decided to start cat sitting so we’d have an pet at home that we can love as our own. I’m currently a stay at home girlfriend and I do all the cooking on the weekend so during the week I’m pretty free. We are flexible to whatever your needs are just send me a message and we can work it out. I’m also willing to pet sit other small animals such as rabbits or reptiles. We live in a pet friendly apartment with access to a large grassy area and a dog park just for our community. All the dogs in the community are dna registered and occasionally we’d get other animals such as deer and rabbits that pop by. I have no pets and I plan on only hosting 1 pet at a time. We don’t have any house plants that could be hazardous to animals.
“Camrynn made 2 visits to let Molly and Abby out while I was out of town for the day. She was on time and sent a photo of them snuggling on the sofa. The dogs loved her and were very relaxed when I returned. I would highly recommend Camrynn.”

I just moved into a new apartment and I’m getting it in shape to be able to have your pets here with me too. :) I have a 800 square-foot apartment that is very clean and entirety. I do not have any pets, and I live in a great area for long dog walks.
About: Ever since I was little I’ve worked with all sorts of animals. I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, fish hamster’s, birds, reptiles, and even lizards! About: I have worked with dogs and cats throughout my life from cat sitting a friends kitty for multiple days to working as a dog bather at a groomer. I love animals and hope to make new experiences with some furry friends! I am currently working part time as a caregiver but I’m only scheduled once every other week on Mondays after 7pm. I am also a full time student at MSU but I have a light schedule I can work around to ensure your pups get the attention they need! I love playing with pets and will always make sure your animal is safe and comfortable! I am also accustomed to giving dogs baths from my prior job experience and would love to give them a little refresh if needed.
About: I've had a love for dogs for as long as I can remember as I have helped care for my parents and a variety of friend's dogs throughout the years and enjoyed every second of it. Weekend appts work best for me but am willing to work with you if you need help on the weekdays with any of my listed services. I work eight hour days, five days a week Mon-Fri, so your fur baby will be without a potty break until I get home on those days. I am available all day Saturday and Sunday. I do not have a large backyard but will make sure they get plenty of stimulation outdoors with long walks and play. I would prefer it if your dog is crate trained and would need to be either crated or separated using my dog gates while I am at work. I have a shih tzu of my own who is very friendly and submissive. Ultimately, whatever the client needs for their dog will be made possible so long as it is feasible.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bath
As always, Lori did a wonderful job caring for our cat. Very reliable and is quick to respond. She goes above and beyond. I mixed up our travel days, and booked too short. She was thankfully still available and updated the booking. She cleaned the litter box even though that was not asked of her. Will continue to use her services in the future. Thank you!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
