“Teri was excellent with my great Dane mix dog. She was great with him, and got him to eat when he normally doesn't. He was perky and happy when we got home and I could tell he didn't feel lonely while we were gone.”

About: I have had plenty of animals of my own including but not limited to- cats, dogs, fish, lizards, turtles, birds, rabbits, chickens and other farm animals. I have house sat for many different types of families. Full farms, medically challenged pets, senior animals, young animals. I love them all dearly! I currently work from home Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and some Saturdays. I cannot do overnights on Mondays and Tuesdays due to my work schedule. I am home almost daily and love to walk my pets and others before work, on my lunch, or after work. I do not have a fenced yard but I do have plenty of leashes and secured leads. We live on a slow dirt road. No pet, even mine, is ever outside unattended or unleashed. I will follow whatever rules are laid out for me regarding your home if I am caring for your animal in their space.
“Cheyenne was great with my cat and very easy to communicate with. Everything went smoothly, and I truly appreciate her care. Will definitely choose her again next time!”

“Ashley aka Red is the best in the area. She loves our pets as if they were her own and we cannot thank her enough for helping us when we have to go out of town. She is always on time, kind and courteous and I know our furry friends love her too. Thanks Red for all that you do for us and the community.”

I also have a sizeable yard that they would be able to play in although it is not fenced in but is in the country.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life, including part-time professional grooming and providing loving, attentive care for dogs of all sizes and personalities. As a retired teacher, I’m patient, dependable, and attentive to routines, giving pet parents peace of mind while they’re away. I treat every dog as if they were my own and strive to make them feel safe, happy, and loved. I’m currently retired. I’d like to make pet care my daily/weekly routine. Currently, your pet would be my daily or weekly routine. Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priorities. “Kimberly did a great job. She was prompt and kept me well informed on how my babies were doing, including photos. I would highly recommend her services and I would definitely schedule her again.”

I am currently available anytime on Mondays, Wednesdays, and weekends. If you are looking for late afternoon or evening visits, I am also available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays after 6 PM. About: Hello! My name is Tiffany and I am 39 years old. I have a total of 5 children - 3 beautiful humans that I birthed and 2 very sweet golden retriever sisters who we deem “The Golden Girls”. I am a stay at home mom with a lifelong passion and love for all animals. I have adopted several dogs over the years from the local animal shelter and it was the most rewarding experience of my life. We loved all of them from their puppy stages and all the way through their senior years. I have been caring for my own animals since I was 8 and I truly feel the most comfortable and happy when helping others and their pets. I will treat your furbabies as if they are my own! I enjoy volunteering my time with local dog rescues, knitting, training with my family in martial arts and lots of snuggle time with my kids and fur babies. I’m very excited to be a part of Rover and I’m looking forward to loving and caring for your pets. I have very open availability on weekdays and weekends! I am very laid back and flexible so I’m not bothered by last minute plans or changes. When I am home my goldens free range and hang out with me. They live their best lives every day. 😅 They are usually crated when I am not home because they like to eat things that are not good for them. 😅 I always take out my dogs out for walks and exercise every day to make sure they are good and tired. Tired dogs are happy dogs!

“Julie is SO great. She leaves the best messages about what my cat Louis has been up to and sends lots of pictures. Very dependable and trustworthy. I’ve booked her several times and will again!”

I write down a to-do list of the day, to make sure I do my absolute best to take care of all of your pets
About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my calm, patient energy. Animals tend to feel comfortable with me quickly, and I focus on creating a safe, low-stress environment for them. I’ve had dogs my whole life, so I understand how important it is to treat them like family. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and routine so they feel as comfortable and cared for as possible. I’m very reliable and attentive, and I make sure each pet gets not just the care they need, but extra love and attention too. As a teacher, I have a more flexible schedule during the summer and love staying busy. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine I enjoy getting outside for walks, spending time with animals, and making sure they feel cared for and comfortable throughout the day. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I try to keep things as normal and comfortable for them as possible. I follow their usual routine for feeding, walks, and playtime, and make sure they’re getting plenty of attention while I’m there. I’m very attentive and make sure pets are safe, secure, and well cared for during each visit. I also respect your home and keep everything just as I found it. Right now, I’m focusing on walks and drop-in visits, so I’m not currently offering overnight stays or having pets in my home.

About: Hey my name is Jade. I’m a stay at home girlfriend looking for cats to spoil. I grew up with a handsome feline named Marometas (spanish for cartwheel) and am looking for cats to keep me (and my boyfriend) company. We’ve love to have cats of our own but unfortunately it’s just not in our budget therefore I decided to start cat sitting so we’d have an pet at home that we can love as our own. I’m currently a stay at home girlfriend and I do all the cooking on the weekend so during the week I’m pretty free. We are flexible to whatever your needs are just send me a message and we can work it out. I’m also willing to pet sit other small animals such as rabbits or reptiles. We live in a pet friendly apartment with access to a large grassy area and a dog park just for our community. All the dogs in the community are dna registered and occasionally we’d get other animals such as deer and rabbits that pop by. I have no pets and I plan on only hosting 1 pet at a time. We don’t have any house plants that could be hazardous to animals.
“We’re so grateful to Sophie for helping out with George on our big wedding day! She was communicative, kind, and incredibly helpful. She took George on a nice 30-minute walk, made sure he was fed, and spent time hanging out with him. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands while we were away. Her support made our day that much more relaxing. Thank you, Sophie!”

- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
