About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! I've owned and cared for a variety of pets over the years and have experience with animals of different ages, personalities, and care needs. One of the most rewarding parts of my pet-care journey has been fostering. I'm currently a pet care specialist and foster with Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) and have also fostered for other shelters in the past. Through fostering, I've cared for pets who were shy, energetic, recovering from medical procedures, learning social skills, or simply looking for a safe place to land before finding their forever homes. I also have two dogs who don't currently live with me, but I absolutely love spending time with them whenever I can. Whether it's long walks, outdoor adventures, or hiking local trails, I'm happiest when I have a furry companion by my side. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. I work shorter shifts at Capital Area Humane Society, so my schedule allows me the flexibility to provide reliable and attentive care for pets throughout the week. I make it a priority to plan my day around the pets I'm caring for so they receive the attention, exercise, potty breaks, meals, and companionship they need. Whether your pet thrives on a structured routine or is more laid-back, I'm happy to work with their individual schedule and needs. Communication is important to me, so you can also expect regular updates, photos, and check-ins while you're away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. My approach is centered on safety, patience, and positive interactions. As a foster caregiver, I've worked with animals from many different backgrounds, which has taught me how to read body language, respect boundaries, and help pets feel comfortable in new situations. I carefully follow all owner instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, routines, and household rules. I believe every pet deserves individualized care and attention. My goal is to provide a safe, stress-free experience where both pets and owners feel confident and comfortable. You can count on me to treat your pets with the same love and care I would give my own.
“Rosemary always seems to have a great time and comes back happy. Chris is friendly and easy to work with - really happy to have a place we can count on to board Rose and know she's in great hands. Thank you!”

“Haley is fantastic! Haley made us feel so comfortable and confident about the care our pets would receive with her! Our cats immediately responded to her friendly voice! Haley listened to all of our thoughts and answered our questions! She took the cutest pictures of our cats!! We will define request Haley again for our next trip. We highly recommend Haley for your pet care needs!”

“Many thanks to Sarah for caring for our two Cats over a 4 day period. One of our babies needs insulin twice each day, and she ensured he received his doses on schedule. She took pictures of both fur babies, which was very kind. I recommend booking Sarah for any future needs you may have. We certainly will.”

“We always feel so much more at ease being on vacation when Alex is checking on our cat babies. He sends photos and lets us know how they are doing. Our one cat can be fussy about where she eats and we know that Alex will move her plate so she can have her solo moment. We appreciate the care and attention he provides.”

“My partner and I are first time Rover users and I am so thankful to have had Megan drop in for our two cats for six days. Long story short, Megan is good at what she does and made our vacation worry-free knowing our kitties were under her attentive care. Our older cat recently had some medical difficulties and she was very knowledgeable about medication administration with our older cat and kept him calm, safe, and well medicated during our vacation. Our younger cat had some behavioral issues and she was communicative and very professional in dealing with negative cat behavior previously unknown to us. She took good care of our little stinker and was great at problem solving. PS: she took some excellent model shots of our cats and that was always a joy to see. 🥰 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“Elizabeth was amazing with my two cats, spooky and Boo. Spooky is a scaredy cat and she eventually came around to Elizabeth by the end of the sitting. Lots of pictures while I was away and came home to very happy cats!”

“I had to travel for work, and I’m pretty new to the city. I had never left my cat alone this long and was super worried about it. Tennille did a great job of putting me at ease. I appreciated the daily pictures and updates. My cat is shy but warmed up to Tennille immediately. I will definitely book Tennille again next time I am out of town.”

“Justin was great with Joey! He is definitely a food-motivated guy so anyone who feeds him and gives him attention and pets is OK in his book. On my end, I was kept up to date with each visit which was so appreciated! I now have some awesome photos of Joey being his silly self from when I was last away! I cannot emphasize more about Justin's great pet-sitting services!”

“Liz is such a sweetheart and took great care of my cat while I was traveling. Was kind enough to water my plants as well. The daily photos and updates put my mind at ease knowing my baby was being well cared for”

“Our usual sitter was unavailable, so I had to find someone last-minute. Luckily, Megan was able to step in and help us out. In person, Megan was relaxed, easy to talk to, and genuinely seemed like a nice person. While we were away, she followed our instructions to the letter and actually took the time to make friends with our cats. The extra effort Megan put forth made our vacation more enjoyable.”

“Elizabeth is great, always caring and attentive! This is the second time she’s watched my cat, it feels great to have a sitter I know I can trust when I’m out of town.”

“Ashley is so great ! She made everything so easy and smooth . Great communication! She was great with my cats! She even got my incredibly shy cat to come out and say hi , amazing ! Sent great pics and lots of them. Was so wonderful to see my cats so content and taken care taken care of so well while we were away ! She fit us in last minute and was so gracious about helping me out when we had travel complications. Would definitely recommend Ashley !”

About: I have always been a dog/cat person! I own two dogs, Henry and Mikey, and a cat Lucy. I previously worked at a doggy daycare so my experience ranges with dog breeds! I leave a nice big yard that I love to play with my dogs in. I am also good with anxious/rescue dogs who need a bit more attention. I am very excited to care for your dog! I work Monday-Friday from 8:30-4:30, but work from home so my door is always open (when the weather is nice) and my dogs are in and out as they please to play and sunbathe on our porch! Our dogs have full access to our yard all day! We feed them in the garage and they have access to water in the kitchen throughout the day. We let our pets on the furniture and beds. We live in a nice neighborhood that is great for walking, too!

“Shelby did a great job of taking care of our three cats. They bonded quickly and successfully made it through two weeks of us being out of town. Shelby communicated well and did an excellent job of capturing cute moments in the daily check-in. Would absolutely hire again.”

“Laura is awesome! She took the time to meet with us prior to the visit and I knew she would be a perfect match for our two cats, Poppy and Noodle. She played with Poppy who looked to be having fun and was playful with Laura. Laura found the shy Noodle in her hiding spot and snapped a photo. The second day Noodle was out of hiding a little, which gave the chance for another photo but more importantly, showed me that even shy Noodle was comfortable with Laura, which is remarkable! Laura was thorough with her report and a very kind persisted. We appreciate her and will welcome her back!”

“Michael is seriously awesome. From the moment he walked in for the meet & greet, it was obvious I’d made the right choice! He was so comfortable, caring, and loving towards my teenage kitten right away and it made me feel so at ease leaving her in his hands for a few days!! Even when there was a mix up with access to the house, Michael was so proactive, attentive, and flexible! I was beyond grateful. I seriously cannot recommend him enough as a pet sitter and all around wonderful human!!”

“My puppy Kona absolutely adores Alice. She has the best set up with a huge fenced in yard and Kona loves getting to play with other dogs! She gets excited as soon as we get in Alice’s neighborhood which is the best compliment I think she can give. Alice is by far the best Rover we’ve ever had and she’ll be hard to live up to if we ever move out of the area. I can’t say enough good things. We love you Alice!! 🐾”

“Alex was so helpful for us. We needed somewhere to put our dogs for an evening for my daughters graduation from MSU and a few hiccups came up along the way and Alex was able to accommodate a few last minute changes. She sent us pictures and videos so we would know the animals had settled in. Definitely would recommend her.”
“Jessica was outstanding!! I was pretty nervous leaving our girls because it was the first time we’ve done that and she was a rockstar. She was super attentive, present, and caring. Will definitely get her help again and recommend everyone to do the same!”

Friends and acquaintances have relied on me to care for their pets for up to six months at a time. I work from home and have a fairly open schedule so I’m available to stay in your home or visit your home and pets during the day and can keep them company during the workday as well as on the weekends. I care for pets as though they are my own and have had experience caring for pets on very strict schedules. I honor your wishes in how you want and need for your pet to be loved while you’re away.

“Nikki has been great with my young dog. She has walked/dropped in to check on him during two separate occasions when he was healing from surgery or other procedures from the vet. She is great about sending updates for when she is on the way to my house and on my dog’s mood that day. She is very good at reading him and judging whether he wanted to walk that day or just hang out in the backyard. I recommend Nikki for drop in visits or dog walks.”

“Our first visit. Rhys was immediately comfortable. Clare was on time and most pleasant. Our schedules done quite mesh yet however I hope we can work out something. Will definitely be calling again.”

Currently my schedule is very flexible and open during the whole week. Should that schedule change I will update this description and let any clients I’m working with know. About: Hi! My name is Emma, I’m 25 years old and I have a lot of experience with almost every type of animal. Especially dogs! Ive worked as a groomer and counselor at Camp Bow Wow, a daycare and boarding facility for dogs. So I have experience with all age ranges and breeds of dogs. I also worked on an exotic farm that had lots of animals from bunnies and farm animals to baby kangaroos and macaws. I personally own a 6 and 3 year old cat, and a 10 year old border collie who’s very active, so I understand a dog that needs lots of excercise! I’ve also had pets like a leopard gecko, Guinea pigs, rats, and absolutely love birds! I work 9-4 Monday through Friday but I’m always up early. I could come check on your fur babies in the morning, then more quality and excercise/play time in the afternoon after work. My weekends are completely open. We are outside a lot! My border collie is 10 but he could still play all day! He is typically playing fetch, catching bubbles, or playing in the sprinkler while I work on the garden. They get fresh water, dry food throughout the day, and wet dinner at night so I understand routines and feeding times.

Thank you!”

“Alice is awesome. She was attentive, and also sent daily pics and updates, which was greatly appreciated. She made our first time using Rover a good one, we hope to be able to book with Alice again. Thank you :)”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Alex and her wonderful family! They took such amazing care of my dog, Rose, and made her feel right at home. It was clear from the start how much love and attention they gave her, and I was so grateful for the updates and photos throughout her stay. Rose came back happy and relaxed, and I know she had a great time. I highly recommend Alex for anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and loving sitter. I’ll definitely be booking with them again!💕🐶”

“Meghan was a Godsend!! She took my dog with only one day's notice and was so cheerful and easy to work with. She sent me pictures throughout the weekend so I knew my dog was happy, which made me have a better time on my trip :) Can't thank Meghan enough and will definitely use her again - highly recommend!!”

About: I've grown up with spayed/unspayed dogs, tiny and medium sized, and have bathed them throughout the years. I'm less experienced with cats as I wasn't allowed one as a kid, but I would always play with and look after my friends' cats when I got the chance 😸 I'm currently a student at Michigan State University, with a part time job as an ice hockey referee. I am usually home 18 hours out of the day most of the days of the week! I live alone in an apartment on an upper floor. 650 sq. ft of space, so it's spacious. There is also an outdoor yard if needed. Caring for your pets will give me breaks between studying and homework! I will treat your pets as if they were my own, and making your pets happy will make me happy! 😊
“Val and Theresa are amazing caregivers!! I got updates all weekend on my dog with pictures! They made sure to know as much as they could about her, as this was her first stay with them, so they could provide her the best care. I will definitely be rebooking with them anytime I need someone to watch my dog! I cannot say enough good things about them!”

About: I am an MSU alum graduated from MSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021, and a huge animal lover! I have had many dogs and cats growing up so i have always had furry friends as a huge part of my life. I began pet sitting for my parents friends when i was in grade school and continued whenever a friend asked throughout college. Throughout veterinary school I was a Rover sitter and pet sit furry friends locally as well as my classmates animals during breaks and holidays. I always make sure to discuss what is going to be most comfortable and convienient for the animal and their dog or cat mom/dad! I am a small animal resident at MSU and I am looking forward to helping take care of my communities' animals at work and in my free time!! From my career, to my beagle buddies at home, animals are my life. I am so excited for the opportunity to get to know other animal lovers in my area while taking care of their babies!! I am a full time veterinarian but looking to help on evenings, weekends, and holidays with drop-in visits, boarding, pet sitting, and walks for fellow animal lovers in the mid-Michigan area Being a veterinarian, I am very comfortable taking care of all animals and have 2 dogs of my own with health conditions that I lovingly care for each day! I will take care of your animals as if they were my own and offer as much love and commitment as I care for my patients!
