About: I have had a dog in my family since I was a toddler. In my life, my family has had one Golden Retriever, and 6 Pomeranians. We rescued 3 of these pups! And all at one time, we had 4 Pomeranians - making me have to really help out with training and dog care. My family has always been passionate about animals, specifically dogs. We emphasize the importance of taking care of a pet as if it’s a family member. I grew up helping take care of them: Training, walks, runs, bike rides, meals, hiking, car rides, cuddles, brushing, baths, vet appointments. Additionally, I always ensure my rescue dogs feel comfortable in their new home. Naturally, all dogs are easily comfortable with me. I always drive hours home just to spend time with my fur babies with my parents. Once I learned about this app, I instantly downloaded it. I’m so excited to spend my free time doing something that makes me happy! I currently work full-time in lansing from 8:30am-5pm M-F. I love animals and have extra time so I would like to make additional income! I am available after work or on weekends as long as I get enough notice. I will be sure to spend time with the pet when I’m taking care of it. I will go on walks, go outside, and play with the pet. I will do whatever the pet owner asks from me and ensure the pet has my attention while I’m with them.

About: My full name is Olivia Vera Love but you can call me Vera! I’ve taken care of animals of every kind ever since I could walk. Henry was my first dog and he was an English Setter. Ollie was my first cat and he came from a local barn. My mom taught me how to care for their every need and extend that towards other dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, guineas, and goats. I have walked, fed, bathed, brushed, and worked with special needs dogs, chickens, reptiles, and elderly cats. At one point I was taking care of four cats, three dogs, and twenty birds. I'm confident in my experience with animals to leave a positive impact on them. Both of my mom’s dogs are older dachshunds with special needs. I regularly dog sit a lovely miniature Australian Shepherd and cat sit a Blue Russian cat on my own time. I also currently own one rat, Cheez-it, and she loves the Australian Shepherd. Im a recent graduate looking for work so I'm flexible at the moment. Routine is two walks a day in the morning and night. I am looking for a full time position so while I currently am able to provide full time support in the future I will be able to provide part time support. I strive to give patience and understanding. I react to the needs of the pet or pet owner and do what needs to be done to do what will make the pet happy. My love for animals is primarily through my love of their capacity for empathy. Through my experiences I have also learned to be stern and to stand my ground with pets to work with them and to make them as comfortable as possible.

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with both dogs and cats, along with my ability to adapt care to each pet’s unique needs. I grew up around animals and have hands-on experience with senior pet care, including administering medications and supporting pets with mobility issues. I’m patient, attentive, and comfortable adjusting routines to keep older pets safe and comfortable. I also work well with younger, more energetic dogs. I enjoy playtime and exercise, and I have a fenced-in backyard that’s great for games like fetch, as well as a walkable neighborhood for regular walks and enrichment. My home environment is another advantage—I offer a calm, quiet space that’s especially well-suited for pets who need lower stimulation or a more relaxed setting. While I do have three cats, I’m experienced in managing introductions and can easily separate spaces when needed. I’m happy to work with dogs who are cat-friendly or those who simply need a thoughtful, structured environment to feel at ease. Overall, I aim to provide a safe, flexible, and comfortable experience tailored to each pet’s personality and needs. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine, and because I work from home, I’m able to be present and attentive throughout the day. I’m used to planning my schedule around feeding times, walks, play, and check-ins, so adding additional pets fits in seamlessly. I build in time for both structured care—like walks, meals, and medications—and more flexible time for attention, enrichment, and companionship. Because I value a calm, consistent environment, I’m intentional about maintaining routines that help pets feel secure and comfortable. Whether it’s daily walks, backyard play, or quiet downtime, I make sure each pet gets the care and attention they need. When boarding dogs in my home, I treat each pet like a member of my family, providing a safe, comfortable, and structured environment. I maintain regular feeding schedules, offer plenty of exercise and playtime in my fenced backyard, and take dogs on walks around my walkable neighborhood. I also provide attention and companionship throughout the day to keep pets happy and engaged. For dogs with special needs, I can administer medications, accommodate mobility issues, and create a calm, low-stimulation space if needed. My home is set up so pets can interact safely with my three cats or have separate areas if they prefer. Overall, I focus on creating a routine and environment that helps every dog feel secure, comfortable, and loved while their family is away.

About: Hi! Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. To put it simply, I am an animal lover. I’ve spent a good part of my life volunteering with animals, helping wildlife rehab, pet-sitting and caring for my own amazing pets. I treat every pet as if they were own, with nothing but love, kindness and respect. It’s scary leaving our pets alone with someone, but I want to assure you that your furry friends will receive the best care possible. I will adhere to your typical schedule and rules, if you have any, and provide extra care if needed (bathing for those times they decide to take a mud bath, for example). I’m all too happy to text and send photos to clients of their pet while they are away, as I believe communication is important and can help ease our natural anxieties about leaving our pets. The only thing I want you to focus on is enjoying that vacation or getting caught up on work—whatever it is that you need a sitter for! I’m currently a psychology student but am fortunate enough to have all my classes online, allowing me extra time to spend with my pets. My pets are diligently cared for daily, including walks, scheduled feeding times, and scooping litter multiple times a day. With my open schedule I can give them the best care they need. Safety is my number one priority. No outside trips without a leash, being observant and picking up things they may get in to, checking fences, and just general looking out for them. Animals are curious and often times it only takes a second for them to be somewhere they’re not supposed to or be eating something bad for them; it’s my job to make sure that doesn’t happen!

Blue enjoyed his first "alone time" with Tennille. Following a successful meet 'n greet a week ago, I scheduled them for a walk together so they could begin to get to know each other better and in preparation for upcoming house sitting sessions with Blue while his momma begins traveling again. Both Blue and I are thrilled to have found someone we can know, like and trust!

About: I have had dogs my entire life and caring for them has always been a big part of who I am. I currently work at a doggy daycare, where I spend my days supervising, playing with, and caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. This experience has given me strong skills in understanding dog behavior, maintaining safe group environments, and making sure every dog feels comfortable and cared for. I have experience with dogs of all ages, training levels, abilities, and dietary needs. I’m comfortable caring for high-energy puppies, senior dogs who need a gentler pace, and everything in between. Working in daycare has also taught me how to read body language, manage different temperaments, and provide individualized attention to each dog. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and happy while giving owners peace of mind that their dog is in good hands. I treat every dog like they are my own and truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality. 🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I currently work part-time and am an MSU senior and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate time and attention to the pets I care for. I’m available for visits, walks, and sitting during weekdays after work and have more open availability on weekends. Since I already spend much of my time around animals through my job, caring for pets is something I truly enjoy and easily incorporate into my day. Safety and comfort are my top priorities when caring for pets. I always take time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any specific needs they may have so I can provide consistent and attentive care. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and house rules. I pay close attention to animal behavior and make sure pets are always in a safe and calm environment. My goal is to make pets feel relaxed and cared for while giving owners peace of mind that their pet is in good hands.

Andrea is amazing! She has been walking my dachshund Penny Monday-Friday for the past few weeks and what a difference it has made. Penny was displaying severe separation anxiety which haD led to destructive behavior. I was at the point of crating her during the day which I didn’t want to do. Andrea came in at the right time with patience and love. I am now returning the crate I bought because the destruction has stopped. I highly recommend her.

About: I have been pet sitting since I was in college, providing care mostly to dogs and cats, including dog walks, playtime, administering medicine and medical care (including daily shots) to both dogs and cats. Friends and acquaintances have relied on me to care for their pets for up to six months at a time. I work from home and have a fairly open schedule so I’m available to stay in your home or visit your home and pets during the day and can keep them company during the workday as well as on the weekends. I care for pets as though they are my own and have had experience caring for pets on very strict schedules. I honor your wishes in how you want and need for your pet to be loved while you’re away.

About: I have been on rover for almost 3 years now, I have experience in all care fields (child, adult, and animal), and am also a licensed massage therapist. I have 6 adorable Pugbulls and one cat.I've cared for fish, cats, and dogs. In a 30min time block I can usually walk a little over a mile with a dog, even if they want to stop and sniff around a bit. I love all animals and am always willing to look after new types of animals! Unfortunately I’m not currently taking on new weekly walks, I will update this should that change. Currently my schedule is very flexible and open during the whole week. Should that schedule change I will update this description and let any clients I’m working with know. I have a very flexible work schedule as a massage therapist, if a day isn’t available I will have it updated as unavailable on my rover calendar. I always make sure to allow all pets to come to me at their own pace without making them feel like I’m invading their personal space. This helps them be comfortable with me quickly and feel safe in their home.

Stop scrolling and click here . . . you have found your new dog walker! Tiana is wonderful, showed up on time, brought her own leash, took several pictures and even a video of my silly dog doing zoomies in the park, and updated me with bathroom breaks. And you have to applaud walking in Michigan winters! She communicates well and offers solutions for alternative days and times in order to navigate both our busy schedules. I highly recommend Tiana to be your pets new companion. 10+

Nicolas is very reliable and easy to communicate with. I really appreciate his attentiveness to my senior chihuahua. He really took the time to understand her needs and comfort levels. Arranging a meet-and-greet prior to the booking was one of the many ways he demonstrated how much he prioritizes that. I really loved the detailed notes, photos, and videos. He was so great with Mika, and I can tell she enjoyed her sessions with him too. I definitely recommend Nicolas and would love to use his services again.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
