About: I have been pet sitting since I was in college, providing care mostly to dogs and cats, including dog walks, playtime, administering medicine and medical care (including daily shots) to both dogs and cats. Friends and acquaintances have relied on me to care for their pets for up to six months at a time. I work from home and have a fairly open schedule so I’m available to stay in your home or visit your home and pets during the day and can keep them company during the workday as well as on the weekends. I care for pets as though they are my own and have had experience caring for pets on very strict schedules. I honor your wishes in how you want and need for your pet to be loved while you’re away.

About: I’ve cared for cats and dogs throughout my entire life. I’ve had the blessing of entirely raising a dog a cat and even a snake, from months of age to adulthood and throughout their elder years on my own. I am currently on summer break from school and work full-time as a Behavior Technician in Okemos, MI ! Other than my day-job I have a complete open availability on nights, afternoons and weekends. Plenty of time to smother your fur-baby with love and affection ! I have an upstairs apartment with two cats and a pet snake. There are no stairs inside my apartment so there is easy access for disabled and senior fur-babies. My bedroom and guest room also reside all on the same floor.

About: I have been on rover for almost 3 years now, I have experience in all care fields (child, adult, and animal), and am also a licensed massage therapist. I have 6 adorable Pugbulls and one cat.I've cared for fish, cats, and dogs. In a 30min time block I can usually walk a little over a mile with a dog, even if they want to stop and sniff around a bit. I love all animals and am always willing to look after new types of animals! Unfortunately I’m not currently taking on new weekly walks, I will update this should that change. Currently my schedule is very flexible and open during the whole week. Should that schedule change I will update this description and let any clients I’m working with know. I have a very flexible work schedule as a massage therapist, if a day isn’t available I will have it updated as unavailable on my rover calendar. I always make sure to allow all pets to come to me at their own pace without making them feel like I’m invading their personal space. This helps them be comfortable with me quickly and feel safe in their home.

Blue enjoyed his first "alone time" with Tennille. Following a successful meet 'n greet a week ago, I scheduled them for a walk together so they could begin to get to know each other better and in preparation for upcoming house sitting sessions with Blue while his momma begins traveling again. Both Blue and I are thrilled to have found someone we can know, like and trust!

About: Hello, my name is Shirley Gonzalez! Thank you for considering me to care for your pets. I’ve been caring for animals professionally since I was 17 when I started working at a doggy day care facility. Although, all throughout my childhood I had pets of all kinds such as parakeets, guinea pigs, gerbils, mice, snakes, and fish. After leaving the boarding industry, I decided to become a Vet Tech, to further pursue my passion. I have 4 years of vet tech experience total, some spent working in a high volume-low cost hospital, so I am confident I can handle just about anything, and have seen it all! I’m am capable of caring for all kinds of pets like Guinea pigs, rabbits, reptiles, to name a few; and of course, dogs and cats of all sizes. I have a soft spot for feisty chihuahuas and seniors! I have plenty of experience with dogs and cats that may be labeled as “difficult”, and will always be willing to do a meet and greet as many times as needed, beforehand to ensure they are comfortable while you’re away. I can safely administer medications orally, topically, or injections such as insulin. My experience as a vet tech has given me knowledge and tools that I use to ensure your pet stays safe, secure, and stress-free in a potentially stressful situation, as I understand some fur babies may have separation anxiety. I do accept drop-ins during my overnight stays, sometimes having to step out multiple times a day for a couple hours, so if that is something that will not work for your pets, please let me know so I can accommodate accordingly. I’m very big on reading body language, and I feel it goes a long way to making your pets feel at ease while you’re away. Comfort for your fur babies and peace of mind for you are part of the package deal! I’m available for overnight stays, and drop ins for any species. Drop ins always welcome! I can provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, even a bed time visit, and plenty of cuddles and playtime for kitties and pups who need that stimulation. I send you tons of pictures and updates throughout the day so you’ll never have to wonder what your pets are getting up to. If you like your update photos, ask about booking a private photo session, shot using a professional camera! I now provide full-time pet care services! We can work around your existing schedule so not much has to change for them. No routine is too extravagant! Currently, I do not offer boarding. I have a ton of in-home pet sitting experience and feel it’s easier on your pets when they get to stay home.

Lisa is delightful and a great communicator. She is reliable and so good with my senior chihuahua mix, Mika. It is very comforting to know Lisa also has a senior chihuahua, and is very experienced with dog care. I am happy Mika seems to really enjoy her walks with Lisa and was able to get comfortable with her fast. Lisa takes her time and is in tune with Mika’s needs. I feel bad on days I have to leave Mika alone at home for so long for work, so it means the world to me that Lisa makes sure her time with Mika is quality bonding.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs in some aspect my entire life. From walking, to house sitting, to bathing, if any friend or family member needed their doggo taken care of, I was the girl for the job! I am very good with all kinds of dogs at any stage of their life, as I have been dog sitting for various clients for the last 4-years, both on and off Rover. I’m currently a Ph.D student at MSU, so I’m super flexible when it comes to working around clients schedules. I have in person classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in the AM and early afternoon, but other than that, I am happy to spend my free time with pups! I always make sure to follow the parent of the fur baby I’m walking or house sitting to ensure that the experience for both the parent and the pup is a pleasing one.

About: Ask me about ferret care! My critters are my world! I’ve been taking care of cats and dogs for as long as I can remember and my partner and I have had ferrets for 5+ years! I have pet sat for many of my friends and family members over the years and I’d love to meet more furry friends! My cat is also medicated so i am very familiar with administering oral medication with both pill pockets and directly giving pills. I am also experienced with feeding and medicating ferrets and would be happy to discuss more if you are interested in drop in or boarding for your ferrets! I have availability after my 8-5 or on the weekends/holidays to spend some time with your critters! I’m happy to go on long dog walks or coexist next to a shy kitty. I am very familiar and comfortable with being patient around new critters. I’m happy to meet them where they’re at and let them come to me on their own if that’s what is comfortable for them. I’ve had a lot of dogs and cats and exotic pets over the years and I’m very cognizant or the signs of discomfort in dogs and cats. If you’re interested in boarding a cat or ferret I have an entire bedroom just for them!

Nicolas is very reliable and easy to communicate with. I really appreciate his attentiveness to my senior chihuahua. He really took the time to understand her needs and comfort levels. Arranging a meet-and-greet prior to the booking was one of the many ways he demonstrated how much he prioritizes that. I really loved the detailed notes, photos, and videos. He was so great with Mika, and I can tell she enjoyed her sessions with him too. I definitely recommend Nicolas and would love to use his services again.

As a student, I have some classes throughout the week, but on my off days I am available to walk or house sit your pets! Client and pet safety and comfort is my top priority. Stop scrolling and click here . . . you have found your new dog walker! Tiana is wonderful, showed up on time, brought her own leash, took several pictures and even a video of my silly dog doing zoomies in the park, and updated me with bathroom breaks. And you have to applaud walking in Michigan winters! She communicates well and offers solutions for alternative days and times in order to navigate both our busy schedules. I highly recommend Tiana to be your pets new companion. 10+

Hailey was so great! She was communicative, flexible, responsible, willing to do more than expected! She walked our high energy dog and really helped get out his energy for our parents who were staying with him. She was very kind, knowledgeable and trustworthy with our sweet boy. She also helped do some hygiene on our little fluffy dog and walk him too and was awesome!

Our family really needed Avore’s help with our Ladador mix, rescue puppy, Ryder. He’s naturally a bundle of energy and joy and just wants to PLAY, all day, with anyone - and any THING. We live on a busy street and the thought of him being terribly hurt in his innocence to RUN! After ONE WALK, our family could quickly see the improvement! Ryder has been a different (HAPPIER, CALMER, well-behaved) pet since working with Avore. Avore continues to be patient, professional, attentive, and caring for our baby, Ryder! I’m a veteran and educator who’s very detail oriented. I notice that Ryder is so happy to hear Avore’s voice - he’s excited to behave, so he’ll get his walk and when he gets back (not a moment too‘early,’ Avore uses the FULL TIME of what our family’s PAID for) I can tell Ryder’s been worked out - even during these cold months! When she picks him up, it’s “down to the business at hand,” with an openness and enthusiasm that makes hiring her a HUGE WIN for us - AND Ryder. He’s been a much happier fur lovey. Finding Avore is one of the things our family have agreed is just “a must” for us to continue to have Ryder as a healthy member of our family. All I want to say is, THANK YOU, Avore! Your expertise is valued and clearly evident - well worth the search! 🌻
