About: I've been caring for dogs my entire highschool career and I'm keeping it going while I'm in college. I have cared for big, small, older, and special need dogs. I can handle any challenge the pet may bring. I grew up with cats, dogs, fishes, and Axolotls, always at least 4 animals in the house at one time! I'm at school from 8:10am-11:30am On Monday-Thursday with plenty of time for check ins morning, afternoon, and evening. I am often busy on Fridays during the spring and fall but my weekends are completely open! I am familiar with care for all types of dogs and their quirks, I give frequent walks, make sure food and water is available, and play with them. I like to provide as much comfort as I can to pets that miss their owners.

About: My full name is Olivia Vera Love but you can call me Vera! I’ve taken care of animals of every kind ever since I could walk. Henry was my first dog and he was an English Setter. Ollie was my first cat and he came from a local barn. My mom taught me how to care for their every need and extend that towards other dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, guineas, and goats. I have walked, fed, bathed, brushed, and worked with special needs dogs, chickens, reptiles, and elderly cats. At one point I was taking care of four cats, three dogs, and twenty birds. I'm confident in my experience with animals to leave a positive impact on them. Both of my mom’s dogs are older dachshunds with special needs. I regularly dog sit a lovely miniature Australian Shepherd and cat sit a Blue Russian cat on my own time. I also currently own one rat, Cheez-it, and she loves the Australian Shepherd. Im a recent graduate looking for work so I'm flexible at the moment. Routine is two walks a day in the morning and night. I am looking for a full time position so while I currently am able to provide full time support in the future I will be able to provide part time support. I strive to give patience and understanding. I react to the needs of the pet or pet owner and do what needs to be done to do what will make the pet happy. My love for animals is primarily through my love of their capacity for empathy. Through my experiences I have also learned to be stern and to stand my ground with pets to work with them and to make them as comfortable as possible.

I work remotely as a consultant and student, so my schedule shifts week to week. What stays consistent is this: feeding times, medications, and check-ins happen on schedule regardless of what else I have going on. Those are non-negotiable. For house sitting I’ll be upfront during our meet and greet about what my week looks like so you know exactly what to expect. If I’m in a lighter work week I may be home most of the day. If it’s a heavier one, your pet will still be cared for on schedule with daily updates and photos so you’re always in the loop. I send daily check-ins and photo updates through the app — not because I have to, but because I’d want the same if it were my pet. In your home, my goal is to keep things as close to normal as possible. I follow your lead on space, boundaries, and routines — whether that means crate time, free roam, or somewhere in between. You know your pet best and I’m here to honor that. My activity style matches the pet. Some animals want to play and roughhouse, others want a warm body nearby while they nap. I pay attention to what they’re telling me and respond accordingly — no forcing, no overstimulating, no ignoring. For cats specifically I understand that trust is earned on their timeline, not mine. I’ll be present and available without being intrusive, and I’ll make sure their food, water, litter, and any medications are handled consistently every single day. For dogs I make sure they’re getting outside regularly, staying on their feeding schedule, and getting the kind of engagement that fits their energy level.

About: I grew up in a household with lots of pets and barnyard animals and have been caring for my own dog, Maggie, for the past 11 years. I have watched pets for friends and relatives and have always approached those responsibilities with care and attention when it comes to scheduled walks, meals, and medication. I'm between jobs until this fall so I have lots of availability to work with any schedule. Why I made this account: I am a burned out former government employee looking to make some cash while I decide on my next career move. As I type this, I am watching the World Cut Semi-Final between England and Argentina (tied 1-1) on my couch and my dog is sleeping on her bed. She has had 2 walks today, 2 treats (with pro-dental enzymes), and will be getting her dinner in 10 minutes (with some warm water added to make it easier for her to chew). I sing to my dog and generally giver her the attention to make sure she knows she is well-loved. This is a snapshot of the care and attention I offer for your pet.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs in some aspect my entire life. From walking, to house sitting, to bathing, if any friend or family member needed their doggo taken care of, I was the girl for the job! I am very good with all kinds of dogs at any stage of their life, as I have been dog sitting for various clients for the last 4-years, both on and off Rover. I’m currently a Ph.D student at MSU, so I’m super flexible when it comes to working around clients schedules. I have in person classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in the AM and early afternoon, but other than that, I am happy to spend my free time with pups! I’ve been caring for animals professionally since I was 17 when I started working at a doggy day care facility. Although, all throughout my childhood I had pets of all kinds such as parakeets, guinea pigs, gerbils, mice, snakes, and fish. After leaving the boarding industry, I decided to become a Vet Tech, to further pursue my passion. I have 4 years of vet tech experience total, some spent working in a high volume-low cost hospital, so I am confident I can handle just about anything, and have seen it all! I’m am capable of caring for all kinds of pets like Guinea pigs, rabbits, reptiles, to name a few; and of course, dogs and cats of all sizes. I have a soft spot for feisty chihuahuas and seniors! I have plenty of experience with dogs and cats that may be labeled as “difficult”, and will always be willing to do a meet and greet as many times as needed, beforehand to ensure they are comfortable while you’re away. I can safely administer medications orally, topically, or injections such as insulin. My experience as a vet tech has given me knowledge and tools that I use to ensure your pet stays safe, secure, and stress-free in a potentially stressful situation, as I understand some fur babies may have separation anxiety. I do accept drop-ins during my overnight stays, sometimes having to step out multiple times a day for a couple hours, so if that is something that will not work for your pets, please let me know so I can accommodate accordingly. I’m very big on reading body language, and I feel it goes a long way to making your pets feel at ease while you’re away. Comfort for your fur babies and peace of mind for you are part of the package deal! I’m available for overnight stays, and drop ins for any species. Drop ins always welcome! I can provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, even a bed time visit, and plenty of cuddles and playtime for kitties and pups who need that stimulation. I send you tons of pictures and updates throughout the day so you’ll never have to wonder what your pets are getting up to. If you like your update photos, ask about booking a private photo session, shot using a professional camera! I now provide full-time pet care services! We can work around your existing schedule so not much has to change for them. No routine is too extravagant! Currently, I do not offer boarding. I have a ton of in-home pet sitting experience and feel it’s easier on your pets when they get to stay home.
