Not only is Dorothy an excellent dog sitter, but she is a true animal lover! This was confirmed at our meet and greet when she rescued a parakeet that had gotten itself lost and seemed to be begging her for help! It was amazing! Happily, the parakeet has found a wonderful, forever home with Dorothy! She is great!!!

About: With over 7 years of experience as a pet sitter, I've cared for a wide range of dogs and cats, providing tailored, compassionate care to each one. I’m known for my attention to detail, ensuring pets’ needs are met with precision, from feeding and exercise to administering medications. Trustworthy and kind, I build strong, lasting relationships with both pets and owners. Whether it's a playful dog or a laid-back cat, I offer peace of mind by creating a safe, comfortable environment. If you're looking for a reliable, animal-loving sitter, I’m here to care for your pets as if they were my own. Pet care is an integral part of my daily and weekly routine. Despite working full-time, I make it a priority to ensure pets receive the attention and care they need. I’m typically able to let dogs out during my lunch breaks, providing them with a bathroom break, some playtime, or a quick walk to keep them happy and comfortable. For house sitting, I dedicate my evenings and weekends to being fully present with the pets I care for, ensuring they feel safe and loved in their home environment. My flexible schedule allows me to adapt to their routines and provide consistent, reliable care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat both the pets and the home with the utmost care and respect, as if they were my own. I understand the trust that comes with inviting someone into your home, and I hold myself to a high level of responsibility. I ensure your pets are well cared for, following their daily routines for feeding, walking, playtime, and any special needs they may have. At the same time, I maintain your home’s cleanliness and security, handling tasks like bringing in the mail, watering plants, and ensuring everything is in order. My goal is to provide peace of mind while you're away, knowing both your home and pets are in good hands.

About: I've had dogs ever since I was 10, but my experience with them goes far beyond that. When I was a little kid, before I ever had a dog, I would go to this read with a dog program called "Paws to Read." I would spend countless hours reading to the dogs and befriending them, along with a cat or two here and there. When I was 10, I got my first dog, a husky, and gave him a wonderful life. He had quite a few medical issues and behaved older for his age because of it, so I know how to provide senior pet care. He has since passed, but my two current dogs, one pitbull and one pitsky, remind me every day how important pets are to me. I've had them both for eight years now, during which we've taken numerous car rides, walks, enjoyed outside and inside playtime, movie nights, and anything a dog could dream of. Now, while I've never had a cat because of the majority of my family being allergic, I never turn away from a cat. I'm a regular at the Gem City Catfe, where I play with the cats often and have gone so often that they are comfortable with me. I keep cat and dog treats on me in case I come across a stray, because all cats and dogs deserve to feel some love. I've also dog-sat and house-sat for a few friends before, so I know how to handle situations like pets not getting along, bathroom accidents, and being a bit of a picky eater. Currently, I am a full time student and work full time at UDRI (UD's Research Institute) from 8:30am - 3:30am. During the summer I won't be taking any in person classes, just two online. But when I return to UD for my final year, I will be taking classes again and may be slightly more limited. When it comes to my pets and caring for clients pets, the comfort of the pet is most important to me. Personally, my two dogs don't get along with each other very well, so they typically have to be separated. Even so, I always make sure to treat them both equally and give them lots of love! If I take one for a car ride and ice cream, I bring ice cream back for the other and take the other for a car ride later that week. If my client has dogs similar to mine, who need to be separated, I would be sure to treat them equally and split my time with them according to my client's requests. Given single-pet households, I'd spend a lot of my time with them! In my downtime, I'd make sure to sit with them while I work on coursework. I'd be sure to take them on walks and go for potty breaks. And of course I'd make sure we get a lot of play time in and lots of love!

Suzannah was absolutely wonderful with my two cats, Davinci and Snickers! She took exceptional care of them while I was away and gave me complete peace of mind. Every day she sent thoughtful updates with great photos, which made it so much easier being away from them. She made sure they always had fresh food and water, kept the litter box spotless, and even took the extra time to prepare a special plate of kitten food for Snickers. She also went above and beyond by bringing my mail and packages inside, which I really appreciated. Communication was excellent throughout the entire stay. I always knew how the cats were doing and never had to wonder if everything was okay. I highly recommend Suzannah to anyone looking for a dependable, caring, and professional pet sitter. I'll definitely be booking with her again in the future!

Gracie did a fantastic job with watching our senior cat! I could very much tell that Gracie cared about our sweet girl as one of her own!! With the way she went out of her way to make sure our cat was comfortable when she wasn't feeling well, Gracie also had attention to detail for the little things to help make our cat comfortable or provide for all of the little things to make the environment better for our kitty. While also cleaning up and taking care of any accidents or sick spots. Gracie provided detail updates every day and made me feel extremely happy with leaving our cat in her care while we were away! Gracie provided a calm presence, and is a truly caring pet sitter who wants to provide for the animal she is watching as if they were her own baby! Her personality alone makes her a great choice to care for a fur baby!! I highly recommend Gracie and will be using her again in the future when needing a pet sitter!

About: After having worked in a veterinary office and years of pet sitting, I believe I can provide excellent care for your dog so you won't have to worry. I am able to provide house visits throughout the day, frequent walks, and some play time. I am aware of dog habits, training, and social interactions allowing for me to be aware of what the dog is meaning or wanting. I am physically fit, so I look forward to taking your dog on walks or runs and having a fun play day. Also I am not afraid to provide any bathing or special care your pup may need while you are away. I look forward to speaking with you and having a great time with your pup!! Having a dog myself that had some particular health issues, I am very familiar with the need to having someone who cares and knows what they are doing when taking care of my pet and therefore I supply the same amount of time, care and patience to others pets as well. I am very particular about my own home and therefore treat others homes the same. And if possible leave it better than how I found it. I make sure everything is cleaned up and ready for when the owners return.

We have used Cassie multiple times before, but we decided to use a neighborhood kid to help with the dogs for a long weekend away this time… but he had a family emergency and couldn’t finish his commitment with very little notice. I was freaking out and 3 hours away, and messaged Cassie- she stepped right in and took over caring for the dogs with just a few hours notice. THANK YOU Cassie- you are always reliable and take great care of Petey and Dexter- we will only use you from now on!!

Gracie was the first Rover we ever hired. I felt so much more comfortable when I read that she is working as a vet tech and is obtaining education for that field as well. Part of me doesn’t want to leave a review because I want to be able to book with her as much as possible haha. But she is such a kind person who genuinely cares for animals and would be such a great addition to your pet’s team. 10/10 recommend!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kettering choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Kettering with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
