About: I've had dogs ever since I was 10, but my experience with them goes far beyond that. When I was a little kid, before I ever had a dog, I would go to this read with a dog program called "Paws to Read." I would spend countless hours reading to the dogs and befriending them, along with a cat or two here and there. When I was 10, I got my first dog, a husky, and gave him a wonderful life. He had quite a few medical issues and behaved older for his age because of it, so I know how to provide senior pet care. He has since passed, but my two current dogs, one pitbull and one pitsky, remind me every day how important pets are to me. I've had them both for eight years now, during which we've taken numerous car rides, walks, enjoyed outside and inside playtime, movie nights, and anything a dog could dream of. Now, while I've never had a cat because of the majority of my family being allergic, I never turn away from a cat. I'm a regular at the Gem City Catfe, where I play with the cats often and have gone so often that they are comfortable with me. I keep cat and dog treats on me in case I come across a stray, because all cats and dogs deserve to feel some love. I've also dog-sat and house-sat for a few friends before, so I know how to handle situations like pets not getting along, bathroom accidents, and being a bit of a picky eater. Currently, I am a full time student and work full time at UDRI (UD's Research Institute) from 8:30am - 3:30am. During the summer I won't be taking any in person classes, just two online. But when I return to UD for my final year, I will be taking classes again and may be slightly more limited. When it comes to my pets and caring for clients pets, the comfort of the pet is most important to me. Personally, my two dogs don't get along with each other very well, so they typically have to be separated. Even so, I always make sure to treat them both equally and give them lots of love! If I take one for a car ride and ice cream, I bring ice cream back for the other and take the other for a car ride later that week. If my client has dogs similar to mine, who need to be separated, I would be sure to treat them equally and split my time with them according to my client's requests. Given single-pet households, I'd spend a lot of my time with them! In my downtime, I'd make sure to sit with them while I work on coursework. I'd be sure to take them on walks and go for potty breaks. And of course I'd make sure we get a lot of play time in and lots of love!

About: I’ve taken care of multiple dogs and cats my entire adult life. I currently actively train my dogs at a local Kennel Club and specialize in deaf dog training. “My beloved terriers are, unfortunately, double trouble, and I've been worried that I'd never find a petsitter willing to deal with them. One is a Jack Russell terrier (enough said!), and the other is some kind of chihuahua mix rescue. The rescue is terrified of everything and everybody; Liesa took special care to build trust and assure my rescue that she was safe. My rescue also refuses to walk in wet grass, and it rained the whole time I was away! When it rains, she holds her urine and does her business on the sly on a throw rug. Liesa dealt with the situation beautifully, changing out soiled rugs with clean ones at each visit. I couldn't be more pleased!”

About: I've taken care of my family's pets while they were on vacation or not home. I also have a bunch of pets of my own so I have the experience! I went to a vocational school where I learned to take care of animals. I'm currently working part time monday-thursday. I'm free all day friday-Sunday. Instead of sitting around all day I'd like to be active while doing something I love. I am easy able to walk long distances if needed. I also know how to handle pets when they get scared or rowdy. I follow my own pets outside and keep an eye on them the entire time they are out.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was in grad school. Mainly took care of medium to large dogs, from puppies to 10+ years old. I have a 2 year old GSP named Miles who keeps me occupied most of the time. I work 7:30-3:30 most days during the week (regular full time job). But my weekends are usually open. I do quite a few different activities to keep my little guy occupied (and I think your pup will like them too). Activities include fetch, running, hiking, some scent work, etc. I have a 7 foot tall vinyl fence that my little guys loves to play in. I mostly keep hard chew toys around and plenty of treats.

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life. I worked in a veterinary office as a vet assistant for around 5 years. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all ages sizes and lifestyles and can assist with any type of medical needs they may have! I’m currently a stay at home mom, I have a lot of free time that I would love to fill by loving on your pets! I can take dogs on walks, drop in to check on them, let them out, play with them, snuggle them, feed them, administer medication, I can also drop in and check on cats, feed them, administer medication, play with them and snuggle them! Anything your pets need, I can be there to help keep them happy and healthy 😊 I have a fenced in yard, 3 dogs and a cat of my own who love to make new friends, I do have a young daughter. The dogs get tons of snuggles and love and sleep in the bed at night, I’m also more than happy to crate dogs who feel more comfortable in their own space!
