About: I've had dogs ever since I was 10, but my experience with them goes far beyond that. When I was a little kid, before I ever had a dog, I would go to this read with a dog program called "Paws to Read." I would spend countless hours reading to the dogs and befriending them, along with a cat or two here and there. When I was 10, I got my first dog, a husky, and gave him a wonderful life. He had quite a few medical issues and behaved older for his age because of it, so I know how to provide senior pet care. He has since passed, but my two current dogs, one pitbull and one pitsky, remind me every day how important pets are to me. I've had them both for eight years now, during which we've taken numerous car rides, walks, enjoyed outside and inside playtime, movie nights, and anything a dog could dream of. Now, while I've never had a cat because of the majority of my family being allergic, I never turn away from a cat. I'm a regular at the Gem City Catfe, where I play with the cats often and have gone so often that they are comfortable with me. I keep cat and dog treats on me in case I come across a stray, because all cats and dogs deserve to feel some love. I've also dog-sat and house-sat for a few friends before, so I know how to handle situations like pets not getting along, bathroom accidents, and being a bit of a picky eater. Currently, I am a full time student and work full time at UDRI (UD's Research Institute) from 8:30am - 3:30am. During the summer I won't be taking any in person classes, just two online. But when I return to UD for my final year, I will be taking classes again and may be slightly more limited. When it comes to my pets and caring for clients pets, the comfort of the pet is most important to me. Personally, my two dogs don't get along with each other very well, so they typically have to be separated. Even so, I always make sure to treat them both equally and give them lots of love! If I take one for a car ride and ice cream, I bring ice cream back for the other and take the other for a car ride later that week. If my client has dogs similar to mine, who need to be separated, I would be sure to treat them equally and split my time with them according to my client's requests. Given single-pet households, I'd spend a lot of my time with them! In my downtime, I'd make sure to sit with them while I work on coursework. I'd be sure to take them on walks and go for potty breaks. And of course I'd make sure we get a lot of play time in and lots of love!

“My beloved terriers are, unfortunately, double trouble, and I've been worried that I'd never find a petsitter willing to deal with them. One is a Jack Russell terrier (enough said!), and the other is some kind of chihuahua mix rescue. The rescue is terrified of everything and everybody; Liesa took special care to build trust and assure my rescue that she was safe. My rescue also refuses to walk in wet grass, and it rained the whole time I was away! When it rains, she holds her urine and does her business on the sly on a throw rug. Liesa dealt with the situation beautifully, changing out soiled rugs with clean ones at each visit. I couldn't be more pleased!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life from puppyhood to senior years! Since age 9, I have been able to be graced with having cats and now have one of my very own who gets whatever she wants. I love pets more than anything and would be honored to take care of yours just as I do mine. I currently work full time Monday-Thursday and am looking to add caring for animals into my time off through drop ins and walking! I am an avid explorer so I tend to walk several miles throughout my week and more on the weekends! I would love to drop in and see your pet to ease your worries about leaving them for work! About: I have been taking care of pets for about 8 years now. Whether it be my own dog or my friends dogs, I provide high quality care to each pet I care for. In addition, I potty trained and crate trained my dog, as well as taught her all her fun tricks! About: I've been an animal lover my whole life and have grown up around both cats a dogs. I have hands-on experience caring for senior dogs. My dog, Phoebe, was diagnosed with lymphoma in October of 2025, and I helped care for her by giving her medication, bathing her, taking her on multiple walks each day, and making sure she was as comfortable as possible. She passed away in May, and I miss our daily walks and spending time with her. That experience taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of paying close attention to a pet's individual needs. I currently have three cats and regularly care for all of them. I'm comfortable bathing cats, trimming their nails, and recognizing when they need extra attention or a little space. When I was nine years old, my family adopted a kitten that had been abandoned by its mother, and I helped bottle feed and care for him, giving me experience with very young kittens as well. This summer, I have a very flexible schedule and am available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the day. Caring for pets is something I truly enjoy, so I'm happy to work around your pet's routine, whether they need early morning walks, midday check-ins, evening visits, or multiple visits throughout the day. In the fall, I'll only have two in-person college classes, which will still leave me with plenty of flexibility to provide dependable care. I'll always make sure your pet gets the time, attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve, and I'll do my best to accommodate your scheduling needs Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. About: I will happily care for your pet in the comfort of their own home. Whether your pet wants to lay around or go for a hike, we can do that! I have experience training a dog of my own, so I can maintain your usual basic training/rules if needed. I have a great deal of experience giving medication, both liquid and pills to cats and dogs. I am also open to more than just cats and dogs! I have cared for birds, reptiles, frogs, fish, and more. I’m currently working 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. I understand if this does not work for your pets needs, but I assure you I deeply enjoy caring for animals and your pets are a priority to me.
