“Michelle was absolutely wonderful. She was always quick to respond and shared adorable pictures of Annie on walks. I asked her to walk Annie but she really went above and beyond to make sure she had everything she needed. I would absolutely recommend Michelle to watch and walk your dogs.”

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals since I was a child. We have chickens/ducks, a snake, cats and dogs currently but have also had rabbits if you’re looking for someone with experience outside the norm. I can administer oral medications if necessary. I stay home with my kids so I’m available most of the day, early mornings and evenings so adding in extra pets is no problem at all. I have a fully fenced back yard and two dogs to keep yours company. I also have an extra large crate if requested to make your dog feel more comfortable.
“Tiffany was wonderful with my poodle Micah! As a first time Rover user, I was a little nervous about finding the right person to help with my boy. But after his walk, I received the most beautiful photos of Micah happily enjoying his walk. I would definitely recommend Tiffany.”

About: I've had dogs ever since I was 10, but my experience with them goes far beyond that. When I was a little kid, before I ever had a dog, I would go to this read with a dog program called "Paws to Read." I would spend countless hours reading to the dogs and befriending them, along with a cat or two here and there. When I was 10, I got my first dog, a husky, and gave him a wonderful life. He had quite a few medical issues and behaved older for his age because of it, so I know how to provide senior pet care. He has since passed, but my two current dogs, one pitbull and one pitsky, remind me every day how important pets are to me. I've had them both for eight years now, during which we've taken numerous car rides, walks, enjoyed outside and inside playtime, movie nights, and anything a dog could dream of. Now, while I've never had a cat because of the majority of my family being allergic, I never turn away from a cat. I'm a regular at the Gem City Catfe, where I play with the cats often and have gone so often that they are comfortable with me. I keep cat and dog treats on me in case I come across a stray, because all cats and dogs deserve to feel some love. I've also dog-sat and house-sat for a few friends before, so I know how to handle situations like pets not getting along, bathroom accidents, and being a bit of a picky eater. Currently, I am a full time student and work full time at UDRI (UD's Research Institute) from 8:30am - 3:30am. During the summer I won't be taking any in person classes, just two online. But when I return to UD for my final year, I will be taking classes again and may be slightly more limited. When it comes to my pets and caring for clients pets, the comfort of the pet is most important to me. Personally, my two dogs don't get along with each other very well, so they typically have to be separated. Even so, I always make sure to treat them both equally and give them lots of love! If I take one for a car ride and ice cream, I bring ice cream back for the other and take the other for a car ride later that week. If my client has dogs similar to mine, who need to be separated, I would be sure to treat them equally and split my time with them according to my client's requests. Given single-pet households, I'd spend a lot of my time with them! In my downtime, I'd make sure to sit with them while I work on coursework. I'd be sure to take them on walks and go for potty breaks. And of course I'd make sure we get a lot of play time in and lots of love!
About: **SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY, PLEASE!** 😄 Hi, I am Isabella and I will be a great companion, friend & nurturer to your pets!! I love to spend time with dogs whether that’s playing with them, going for a walk, a park adventure, giving them baths, rewarding them or just hanging out- I meet all their needs at all times. Aside from that, I also keep your home CLEAN & SAFE! I am huge on safety so you will be in good hands with me. I am also happy to do small errands for you- (mail monitoring, etc.) so you can enjoy your time away from home without worries, or be less distracted during your work day. If requested, I am happy to send picture updates to show your dog is living the dream. 😄😉 I have taken care of dogs of various breeds since I was 9 years old. Growing up, I owned a Chow Chow, which was a real treat. I even loved giving her baths! She had 2 litters of puppies-sets of 6 & 8, so I got lots of joy from training & playing with puppies until they were adopted. Since then, I have done pet sitting/house sitting/babysitting for various friends & family over the years, and eventually started using Rover in 2021. The most dogs I’ve house-sat with at one time are 3. I am accustomed to following your pet’s individualized routine. I am very much a dog lover. I don’t currently own one due to apartment restrictions, but greatly wish I could. I like to dog sit because I get so much out of it. I truly LOVE DOGS! I am quite familiar with various breeds and their unique traits. Some of the breeds I have cared for are as follows: Akita, American Eskimo, Australian Shepherd, Bernedoodle, Bichon Frise, Border Collie, Boxer, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Chow Chow, English Bulldog, Frenchie, German Shepherd, Great Dane, Greyhound, Golden Retriever, Jack Russell Terrier, Labradoodle, Labrador Retriever, Pug, Newfoundland, Rat Terrier, Rottweiler, Saint Bernard, Sheltie, Toy Poodle, Welsh Corgi. I cared quite often for a dog with congestive heart failure who needed medicine & needed monitored for his breathing & risk for fainting. I’ve also cared for blind dogs and older dogs with dementia. Some of the dogs I’ve watched take medicine or have dietary supplements and restrictions. I’ve never had any pet emergencies while pet-sitting for others, but did have to take my family dog on an emergency run in her final days which resulted in her passing from old age at 16 years. I mention this to say, if an emergency would ever arise while pet sitting- I am familiar with the process to get the dog help. I have MedVet info saved to my phone so you can rest easy knowing I am prepared for any out of the ordinary circumstances any time of day or night. I also like cats & have done cat sitting on a more rare occasion, including homes with a cat and dog, or only cats. I have lived with a cat who was very close to me in recent years so I am familiar with their behaviors and needs. I’ve also administered medication to a cat with FIV although it is a bit tricky. I hope that I have given you good insight on my pet sitting experience and look forward to being your new dog or even cat sitter if needed! Please feel free to ask questions! I look forward to meeting your pet soon! Thanks for reading my profile. I currently have a very adaptable schedule and i’m currently accepting new clients and bookings at this time, although I am typically in high demand. I can walk your dog around the neighborhood or take the pet to the nearest park, if it’s during a safe time of the day and a more safe neighborhood! I am sure to give frequent bathroom breaks & always take the dog out right before bed time! I will care for your home & possessions like they are my own. I always leave the home in the same condition I arrived to or even a touch more tidy if I am house sitting.

About: My mother has a dog sitting business called Your Place or Mine that I help her with regularly. I got on Rover to make some extra money while I'm in college. Furthermore, I've owned and taken care of dogs my whole life. Even now I have two of my own dogs. Since my Mom's more experienced with watching animals, she may help me with jobs from time to time. I work part-time and also go to school part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to stay with your pet(s) and check on them. I'll check on your pet(s) periodically and care for them as I'm instructed. I also have prior experience caring for older animals and animals who take oral medications or shots.
About: I have been caring for animals since I was a small child. I’ve cared for fish, frogs, Guinea pigs, cats, dogs, etc. I have plenty experience dog sitting and dog walking a variety of breeds, ages, and plenty of fun quirks. I’m currently available Tuesdays and weekends, and I’m happy to work with pet parents looking for consistent weekly care, especially midday drop-ins. Building a routine and getting to know your pet’s personality is my favorite part of pet sitting! I always make sure the fur babies have fresh water and food if need be. I try to include a little play time of some variety along with plenty of cuddles.
About: I have been taking care of animals my entire life, I have experience with cats, bunnies, dogs, ducks, chickens, and snakes! I will give your fur (or feather) baby so much love, they'll hardly notice you're gone! I am currently a freelancer, who is underemployed so I can fit pet care into my day in whatever capacity is needed. I am happy to stay overnight as well. I have pet sat for many notable Dayton figureheads including Mrs. Ohio! My home is not equipped to host dogs, but I will happily come to yours. I am a cardio instructor who loves to be outside, so going on walks will be my favorite part of the day. I will happily play with your pets, and snuggle them on the couch while I read or work on my latest craft project. I am very tidy and will leave your home exactly as I found it.
About: I’ve taken care of animals since I can remember. From family, friends, neighbors and even teachers, they have relied on me to feed, medicate, walk, groom, play and love their babies like my own. Every animal is different, but always loved! I’m currently and fortunately a stay at home mom so my schedule is pretty open! During the school year, I’m available after 9am and could work afternoon needs around pick up times. School is about to be out, so my schedule would be open! I’m not doing in home services due to my rescue having a bad past and still working on trusting other dogs. In clients homes, I’d make sure to follow all requests, communicate what happened during the visit and have the utmost respect for their home/pet(s).
“Dorothy was great! Very friendly and good with Luna. She sent pictures during each walk so I could see my pup was getting attention! I would definitely book her again!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
