“I have a 12 yo German Shepard. He's an old man now. We were going away for New Years and our normal sitter wasn't available. I was apprehensive about leaving him with someone new. Karin was spectacular. She was attentive to his needs and careful about his 'age' related shortcomings. She has a pup of her own and a young son who loved my boy. Karin sent plenty of pics of him and was very communicative during his stay, asking questions to make sure behaviors were normal and making sure he'd tolerate the environment there! I don't know how many stays my old man has left in him, but Karin is definitely the person I'd want watching him when I leave!”

“I boarded my cat Phoebe for several days with Mariah. She took excellent care of her and my cat seemed at ease with her and her home. She was responsive to my messages and sent daily photos. I would recommend Mariah for pet boarding.”

“Ryan is great! He has watched Niko, our GS mix a few times now. This last time we were gone for over a week, when we picked up Niko he was freshly bathed and tuckered out from his 3mile walk. We hope to use Ryan again!!!”

“As always Amber and her husband are amazing. They were particular life savers for this vacation as they were able to work around my strange pick-up/drop-off times and were flexible when our flight got delayed.”

“Once again and as always, Alyssa was great! My guy has developed some dominance/reactivity issues since his last stay, she was still perfectly willing to take him and confident in her handling. She sent me a video after his drop off to help eaise my concerns. Will definitely use her again!”

“Pietro was absolutely amazing!! Maple is nervous around men but she was so comfortable with him. He sent plenty of pictures and videos and even kept her a few hours longer to help me out since I broke my leg. Would definitely recommend!!”

About: I have always loved all kinds of animals and will care for your fur babies just as well as I care for my own. I grew up with a toy poodle though I would have loved to have more pets. Currently, my husband and I have two small dogs but I love dogs and cats of all sizes. I have experience with caring for older dogs as well as very young puppies. I am familiar with pad training and kennel training as well. I would love to take care of your pets and am more than willing to accommodate their needs! I stay at home full time with my 6 month old. So, my time for your pets is very flexible. I am also able to bathe and/or groom your dogs if that is a service you would like. I have a bath price set but I’m open to conversations about that and other grooming services you would like to add. I do all the grooming for my dogs including haircuts, nail clipping, and deshedding. I have two very friendly dogs, but I do have enough space/baby gates to keep my dogs separate from yours if necessary. I have a fully fenced backyard and a very walkable neighborhood. So, your dogs will have plenty of opportunities for exercise. My dogs are kennel trained and sleep with us in bed, but I will respect whatever pet rules you have in your home.
“Rebecca and Ethan took such great care of our dog, Rudy, while we were on vacation. He got walks, lots of love, and we always received updates. We could tell Rudy felt very comfortable and happy while he was there. We will definitely book with Rebecca and Ethan again in the future when needed. :)”

“Truly cannot state enough how amazing Jenna was! We adore our pup and were so nervous to leave her with someone else as she has never spent a night out of our bed. Jenna was accommodating, communicative, warm and everything you want in someone taking care of a loved one. We 100% will be take Scout back in the future!”

“Lily had such a great time staying with Carly!! I loved receiving photo updates to let me know how she was doing. Finding a good sitter is so important to me as Lily has had some awful experiences with caged boarding, and Carly was great. I can always tell when she has a good stay based on how she acts the day back, and she was super sleepy from all of the excitement!! Lily cannot wait to stay with Willow again and have some more beagle fun!!”

“First time using Rover and first time using an overnight service our year ish old puppy. I was worried as it was the first time but Joe made the pup feel at home and worked with him in the meet and greet to get him comfortable. Joe updated us frequently and Harry was worn out and happy!”

“I picked up my dog, Snow, from Joanne's house and she was exhausted! She seemed to have had the time of her life and was a little reluctant to leave. Joanne is great at communicating, and I love that she has children and other dogs for Snow to play with. I will definitely use her again, maybe even just for Snow to have some time to play with her friends! ”
“Derik and Megan are wonderful. They took on a challenge or what I would call a challenge by caring for my little boogie baby. They treated him so well as if he was their own. They kept me updated with pictures and text. I wouldn't ask for a better dog sitter. They made us feel at ease with our baby knowing it was our first time ever boarding him. Thank you again!”

“Emily was a great sitter for my Golden Retriever when I needed weekend care! She was easy to communicate with and coordinate pickup/drop off, and my pup seemed to have a great time in her care.”

“Tammy was great with our dog Murphy. Murph had such a blast hanging out in her backyard and hanging out with her dog Sadie. We felt very comfortable leaving Murphy in her care and would highly recommend her!”

“Catherine and Adam did a great job. They sent pictures and updates to let me know how my dog was doing each day. They were very nice people and I was worried about someone new but they made sure I was comfortable with his care. I would recommend them very much but don't want to because I need them free for my doggie. LOL. Thank you very much for them. Also plane was late and they were nice about keeping him when I was in trouble. They get 100% super.”

Michelle always gives great updates, and puts my mind at ease. This was the longest I’ve had to leave my dog for (1wk) and when we picked her up she was just her happy silly self. I appreciate her taking care of my dog and providing her with love and lots of play time with her dogs!

Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
