“Valerie was absolutely wonderful!!! She FAR exceeded my expectations! She responded to my request within an hour and had excellent communication with me the entire time. My son is out of town and she went to his apartment to check on his cat, Luna. Luna is extremely shy and rarely comes out for anyone — she barely comes out for me — but Valerie was so patient and gentle with her. She stayed with Luna, sent me photos and updates, and even cleaned out a very unpleasant litter box that I truly didn’t expect anyone to deal with. That alone meant so much. You can immediately tell she has a genuine love for animals and such a kind, caring soul❤️. Valerie is recently retired and clearly does this because she truly loves animals, and it shows in the level of care she gives. I cannot say enough good things about her!! About: As a dedicated vet assistant, I have immersed myself in understanding animal well-being. I handle a variety of different animals varying in shapes and sizes at work. I am well educated on animal temperaments and proper care. For eight years, I was the primary caregiver for a senior dog with a heart condition. He sadly passed away in October of 2023 after living a long happy life of 20 years! Prior to having my little dog Prince, I have had various pets throughout my entire life, everywhere from puppies to birds to reptiles. I now share my home with my two rescued cats, Doja and Marble, and a rescue dog named Abe! Abe is friendly and loves to play with other dogs. I have a large gate in the home to separate the cats from the dogs, so there will be no stressors for any of the pets who stay with me. Having cared for animals with diverse medical conditions and temperaments, I am adept at recognizing signs of discomfort or distress, and I am well-prepared to handle unexpected situations with care. With my experience in veterinary medicine, I also offer nail trims for an additional cost! Please reach out to me if you would like this included in your service. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was in grad school. Mainly took care of medium to large dogs, from puppies to 10+ years old. I have a 2 year old GSP named Miles who keeps me occupied most of the time. I work 7:30-3:30 most days during the week (regular full time job). But my weekends are usually open. I do quite a few different activities to keep my little guy occupied (and I think your pup will like them too). Activities include fetch, running, hiking, some scent work, etc. I have a 7 foot tall vinyl fence that my little guys loves to play in. I mostly keep hard chew toys around and plenty of treats.
