“We went on a 3 week vacation. It was the first time our pets were not with a family member to watch them. Michelle was seriously amazing! She took the time to meet them a few times before our trip and our pets were well taken care of. She accommodated our requested times for daily visits and went above and beyond to take care of them. They loved her so much that when we came home they were wondering where Michelle was! She dealt with our pet’s high energy by ensuring that they had enough play time to burn energy. She always sent written updates and pictures. I cannot recommend her enough.”

“Valerie is absolutely wonderful and truly goes above and beyond! She not only took excellent care of Luna, but also did thoughtful extras like vacuuming the carpet — something she absolutely did not have to do and was so appreciated! Luna is extremely shy and usually hides, often making it difficult for anyone new to connect with her. Valerie was incredibly patient and gentle, giving Luna the time, attention, and calm presence she needed to feel comfortable. It honestly means so much to find someone who can build trust with her, and Valerie did exactly that. She is very responsive, reliable, and clearly genuinely cares about the pets she works with. I feel very confident recommending her and will absolutely use her again. We are so grateful to have found her!”

“Jen is very patient and took her time getting to know my cats. She didn't rush them and they came around and got to know her. She is timely and took care of everything as requested.”

“My girls were safe and well taken care of while I was out of town. It’s such a relief to know that they were in the best of hands! Would recommend booking Bradley 100%!”

“She was amazing! Ivy can be a little bratty, but Emma was awesome and got her to warm up quickly! Will definitely rebook with her!!! Always prompt, kind, and caring!!!”

“Cassie took such good care of our two dogs while we were out of town and even through power outages over the weekend she still came and took care of them in the dark. Will definitely be booking with her again when needed”

About: As a dedicated vet assistant, I have immersed myself in understanding animal well-being. I handle a variety of different animals varying in shapes and sizes at work. I am well educated on animal temperaments and proper care. For eight years, I was the primary caregiver for a senior dog with a heart condition. He sadly passed away in October of 2023 after living a long happy life of 20 years! Prior to having my little dog Prince, I have had various pets throughout my entire life, everywhere from puppies to birds to reptiles. I now share my home with my two rescued cats, Doja and Marble, and a rescue dog named Abe! Abe is friendly and loves to play with other dogs. I have a large gate in the home to separate the cats from the dogs, so there will be no stressors for any of the pets who stay with me. Having cared for animals with diverse medical conditions and temperaments, I am adept at recognizing signs of discomfort or distress, and I am well-prepared to handle unexpected situations with care. With my experience in veterinary medicine, I also offer nail trims for an additional cost! Please reach out to me if you would like this included in your service. I am available part time to care for your furry family! Message me the date and time and I will do my very best to work it into my schedule. My previous dog had a strict medication and vitamins routine so I am no stranger to a pet with extra needs. Please make me aware of any restrictions, medications, temperaments, or other various topics I will need to know to ensure your pet has the safest and most caring time with me!
“Sara has been great with my corgi, Cersei! She is always on time and has been incredibly flexible with my schedule. She is also very considerate with Cersei and accommodating to her needs for the past few months and Cersei loves her. She will continue to be my go-to whenever I need someone to help with Cersei.”

“Brooke was great! She came to meet the girls a few weeks in advance and the girls loved her right away. Poor Brooke was being tackled by them! Brooke was very responsive and kept us in the loop while we were gone with several photos. Really appreciated Brookes flexibility and willingness to meet out needs. Thanks Brooke and can’t wait to book you again.”

“Trina went above and beyond with Ghost! She groomed him, fed dinner, played fetch and sent a bunch of videos and pictures and sent an update about their time together! Will definitely continue to have Trina help out in the future 😊”

“I rebooked Gracie! She truly has an amazing personality! And is extremely capable to handle my elder cat who needs a little extra attention and more daily steps when being watched. Brooke is amazing! Accepted my last-minute booking and arranged a meet & greet beforehand. Delta loved her right away & Brooke was very patient with her high energy jumping and affection! I felt totally comfortable leaving Delta in her care for a midday potty break while I had a very long day at work. Loved getting photos during her visit. Will absolutely book again if the need arrises!

Ella was wonderful to work with! She came wa h day and spent time with our indoor/outdoor cat, giving him the choice of where he wanted to be and making sure he had everything he needed. From the pictures I received, he played, he was loved on and he ate well. We couldn’t ask for anything more. We will be having Ella watch him again in the future.

- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
