Luna is extremely shy and usually hides, often making it difficult for anyone new to connect with her. Valerie was incredibly patient and gentle, giving Luna the time, attention, and calm presence she needed to feel comfortable. About: I LOVE animals and everything they have to offer. I offer pet sitting, drop-ins, and walks with a focus on keeping every pet safe, comfortable, and happy. I love building trusting bonds with pets and their families and I am flexible with schedules and routines. I truly enjoy every aspect of pet-sitting, and treat each animal as if they were my own precious best friend. In my free time, I volunteer and foster animals through a local shelter, caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. I’m a college student at Ohio State who truly enjoys being around animals, whether that’s going on long walks, providing calm companionship, or giving extra patience to pets who need it. I’m available for pet sitting and drop-ins, and can provide care outside of my work hours. I work Monday through Friday from 8–5, so pets would need to be comfortable being alone during that time. I’m typically able to provide potty breaks about every 4 hours, including a midday visit during my lunch break. If additional midday care is needed, I’m also happy to coordinate a drop-in visit. I’m fully available before and after work, as well as on weekends. I’m very tidy, organized, and respectful of everyones homes, and I make sure everything is kept clean and well cared for during my stay. I care for each pet as if they were my own, taking the time to assess their individual needs, routines, and comfort levels. I always follow your preferences to ensure your pet feels safe, loved, and at ease while in my care.

About: I have loved animals my entire life (I am 22), and I put extra care and effort to ensure they are comfortable around me and in their environment. I volunteer with the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, where I also foster kittens (including bottle babies and young litters who need round-the-clock care). At home, I currently live with two cats: a senior cat and a 3-month-old kitten. Caring for both at the same time has given me real, hands-on experience managing the very different needs of aging pets and young ones, from diet and enrichment to vet coordination and socialization. As a full time graduate student, my schedule is flexible to check in on your pet, provide feedings, playtime, and companionship. I can accommodate flexible drop-off and pick-up times and am happy to send photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always be my top priority during every visit. I consider myself detail oriented and always follow each owner’s care instructions exactly. I know how to recognize early signs of stress, illness, or discomfort, and I’ll always communicate any concerns to you promptly. About: I've had dogs ever since I was 10, but my experience with them goes far beyond that. When I was a little kid, before I ever had a dog, I would go to this read with a dog program called "Paws to Read." I would spend countless hours reading to the dogs and befriending them, along with a cat or two here and there. When I was 10, I got my first dog, a husky, and gave him a wonderful life. He had quite a few medical issues and behaved older for his age because of it, so I know how to provide senior pet care. He has since passed, but my two current dogs, one pitbull and one pitsky, remind me every day how important pets are to me. I've had them both for eight years now, during which we've taken numerous car rides, walks, enjoyed outside and inside playtime, movie nights, and anything a dog could dream of. Now, while I've never had a cat because of the majority of my family being allergic, I never turn away from a cat. I'm a regular at the Gem City Catfe, where I play with the cats often and have gone so often that they are comfortable with me. I keep cat and dog treats on me in case I come across a stray, because all cats and dogs deserve to feel some love. I've also dog-sat and house-sat for a few friends before, so I know how to handle situations like pets not getting along, bathroom accidents, and being a bit of a picky eater. Currently, I am a full time student and work full time at UDRI (UD's Research Institute) from 8:30am - 3:30am. During the summer I won't be taking any in person classes, just two online. But when I return to UD for my final year, I will be taking classes again and may be slightly more limited. When it comes to my pets and caring for clients pets, the comfort of the pet is most important to me. Personally, my two dogs don't get along with each other very well, so they typically have to be separated. Even so, I always make sure to treat them both equally and give them lots of love! If I take one for a car ride and ice cream, I bring ice cream back for the other and take the other for a car ride later that week. If my client has dogs similar to mine, who need to be separated, I would be sure to treat them equally and split my time with them according to my client's requests. Given single-pet households, I'd spend a lot of my time with them! In my downtime, I'd make sure to sit with them while I work on coursework. I'd be sure to take them on walks and go for potty breaks. And of course I'd make sure we get a lot of play time in and lots of love!
