About: I have always had pets my whole life, cats and dogs especially, I know they have odd habits and require certain things to make them as comfortable and cared for. I also volunteer at 4 Paws which is a volunteering place to play and take care of dogs that are being prepared to help kids with disabilities. My dog that passed away in March only had one eye so I also know how to take care of animals that have a little bit more trouble. I currently have a part-time job, so this will allow me to spend plenty of time with your pup! I also only work from 3-5 hours per day and do not work everyday, making it perfect to help out and take care of you dog! I just got a 6 month old puppy, I am leash, crate, and manner training her. I am comfortable following instructions from the pets owner on how they want me to care for their dog.
“Valerie was absolutely wonderful!!! She FAR exceeded my expectations! She responded to my request within an hour and had excellent communication with me the entire time. My son is out of town and she went to his apartment to check on his cat, Luna. Luna is extremely shy and rarely comes out for anyone — she barely comes out for me — but Valerie was so patient and gentle with her. She stayed with Luna, sent me photos and updates, and even cleaned out a very unpleasant litter box that I truly didn’t expect anyone to deal with. That alone meant so much. You can immediately tell she has a genuine love for animals and such a kind, caring soul❤️. Valerie is recently retired and clearly does this because she truly loves animals, and it shows in the level of care she gives. I cannot say enough good things about her!! I will absolutely be using her again and again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, communicative, and incredibly kind with their pets. 🐾❤️❤️❤️”

“Aine is super nice and attentive to the animals. She’s been sending frequent updates on her drop ins and even befriended my very reclusive cat quickly. Will definitely have Aine watch her again in the future!”

“Jen is very patient and took her time getting to know my cats. She didn't rush them and they came around and got to know her. She is timely and took care of everything as requested.”

“My beloved terriers are, unfortunately, double trouble, and I've been worried that I'd never find a petsitter willing to deal with them. One is a Jack Russell terrier (enough said!), and the other is some kind of chihuahua mix rescue. The rescue is terrified of everything and everybody; Liesa took special care to build trust and assure my rescue that she was safe. My rescue also refuses to walk in wet grass, and it rained the whole time I was away! When it rains, she holds her urine and does her business on the sly on a throw rug. Liesa dealt with the situation beautifully, changing out soiled rugs with clean ones at each visit. I couldn't be more pleased!”

“Kaitlyn is wonderful!!! Having a stranger take care of your fur babies is always stressful, but she took all our worries away. Always on time, played with the pups, took AMAZING photos & great communication. Had zero worries & will absolutely call her again next time.”

“Lori did a fantastic job taking care of our high energy Golden Doodle, Murphy. She made sure he had several walks a day and refilled his rotisserie chicken when he needed a refill. Lori kept in great contact with updates and photos. She went above and beyond, and brought in our mail too. We highly recommend Lori and are thrilled with the care she gave our fur baby! About: I've had four dogs over the course of my life. All small to medium but I'm not against large dogs. Our pups had some special requirements so I'm accustomed to keeping up with a schedule. I'm currently working full-time. I go in at 6am and get off work at 3pm on weekdays and 12pm on saturdays. I'm able to leave on my lunch breaks for potty needs. I can adjust my days slightly if needed. I can follow instructions well, I'm detail oriented, and offer plenty of cuddles and playtime in the afternoons. Walks around the neighborhood if that's what your pupper needs. I have a dog so I can bring him around for company.
“We highly recommend Rayme as a pet sitter as she is professional and trustworthy. Rayme followed feeding and medication instructions to the letter while ensuring the best care of our asthmatic cat. Having Rayme as our pet sitter while we were out of the country removed our worries and we appreciated her focused report outs.”

“Will was amazing. Very flexible with my schedule and more than willing to provide extra care for my puppy who had stitches. You can tell he has a true love for dogs. He cared for my dog as if he were his own. Couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter!”

“Emma was very responsive and sent plenty of photos. She listened to whatever my pets needs were and made sure they were taken care of properly. When i go out of town again I will be sure to look to Emma to watch my fur babies and know i won't have any worries when I'm away.”

“Trenton was absolutely amazing. Very caring and thorough in his care for beau, and was flexible and accommodating. You can’t go wrong with Trenton! Highly recommend.”

“Christina was great! She dealt with my cat's oral medication needs and chaotic litterbox habits. The kitties were happy and healthy and she left everything very clean and tidy!”

“Amanda was absolutely amazing. We met with her before hand and ended up talking for 2 hours ? She was very good and slow with my very skittish dog. He’s always nervous with people. She sent pictures everyday and always showed up on time. She administered meds and injections every night as well. This was the first time using a pet sitter and She really gave me peace of mind that my babies were all taken care of. She even made sure my one cat(Mr Houdini) didn’t get out, lol. Do not hesitate to book with Amanda, she’s absolutely wonderful. I will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Sandy and Boss hit it off immediately. Her calm demeanor was nice and inviting to him. She followed our instructions and arrived on time with respect for our dog, and property. Thank you Sandy we will be sure to hire you again.”

“Brad kept us informed about Jasmin with pictures and messages. She enjoyed her walks with him. We are grateful that Jasmin was able to stay at home where she is most comfortable. We will definitely ask Brad to take care of our girl should we need a sitter in the future.”

Beth is the greatest! This was the first time I’ve used an in home person to take care of my pup. She was on time, sent pictures and provided updates as to my pups well being. Freddie can be a handful and Beth managed to exceed my expectations in the care she provided. I am definitely going to be calling her for future care.

Here's a review you could post on her Rover profile: Amy is absolutely fantastic! She has cared for my two cats, Davinci and Snickers, multiple times, and I could not recommend her more highly. She is reliable, trustworthy, communicative, and genuinely loves animals. Every visit comes with thoughtful updates and great photos, which always gives me peace of mind when I'm away. It's clear that she treats my cats as if they were her own, and they are always happy, healthy, and well cared for when I return home. One of the things I appreciate most about Amy is how dependable she is. I never have to worry when I'm traveling because I know my cats are in excellent hands. Finding someone you can trust with your pets and your home is invaluable, and Amy consistently exceeds expectations. If you're looking for a caring, professional, and dependable pet sitter, look no further. Amy is truly one of the best, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found her. Five stars aren't enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
