“Liesa was absolutely amazing! I booked so last minute and I had never just done drop-in visits for an overnight trip that we took so I was a little nervous that Charlie (my dog) wouldn’t be happy. But I was wrong! Liesa made sure to send updates every time she was there and Charlie took right to her! She took incredible care of our fur baby and I will 1000% be booking again in the future! Thank you again Liesa!”

About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember! As a grad student, I own a 13 year old cat and a 3 month old kitten. I also consistently foster and volunteer for our local humane society, where I have cared for animals of various ages, demeanors, and health conditions, and learned to detect and mitigate signs of distress. Surrounding myself with animals has allowed me to gain a more comprehensive understanding and appreciation for all of our furry friends! As an active person, I enjoy taking dogs on walks and playing with them outside. I take any and every chance to spend time with your pets while going on adventures and snuggling up with them. I also consider myself very punctual, prioritizing attention to detail, and I will stick to whatever food and medication schedules your animals have to ensure they don’t stray from their daily routines. My experience includes administering oral medication, checking glucose levels, and injecting medication, specifically insulin, into diabetic animals. My grad school schedule gives me a lot of flexibility during the week. Most weekdays, I’ll only be gone 2-3 hours in the middle of the day, which gives me more than enough time to tend to your fur babies! For house sitting services, I provide overnight care in your home and maintain your pet's normal routine. I may leave throughout the day for class, errands, dinner with friends, etc., but I always ensure your pet receives the care, attention, potty breaks, meals, exercise, and all the snuggles they need. If your pet requires a more constant-care schedule, please discuss those needs before booking. I plan to start with a phone or video call consultation to get to know you and your pets in general, as well as dietary and medical requirements or other general needs. Prior to the pet-sitting date, I am happy to visit your home to meet your pet and get a layout of their daily routine in the home including feeding and sleeping locations. Regardless of if I’m house sitting or dropping in, I will make sure to be there at the scheduled times to give your pet(s) food and water, and provide necessary medication. I enjoy engaging in playtime and companionship to maintain their routine. I will take your dog for walks, ensuring they get the exercise they need, and I clean up after them. Finally, transparency is crucial. I will keep you updated on your pet's well-being through messages or calls and report any concerns promptly.
“Ireland is so sweet and so great with my elderly kitty! My cat is 21 years old and requires ample love and attention, and Ireland was so helpful keeping her company while I was on a camping trip. Definitely a true animal lover!”

“Bradley was fantastic with our dogs. Extremely reliable and responsive throughout our time away. Our dogs can be picky with people, but his calm and comforting confidence around them was perfect. Highly recommend his services. We will be using Bradley for future services!”

“This was our first time using this service. Amanda came over, met our pups and even though one of them can be a little difficult she was able to care for them and our dogs did very well with her. Would recommend to anybody”

About: I have always had pets my whole life, cats and dogs especially, I know they have odd habits and require certain things to make them as comfortable and cared for. I also volunteer at 4 Paws which is a volunteering place to play and take care of dogs that are being prepared to help kids with disabilities. My dog that passed away in March only had one eye so I also know how to take care of animals that have a little bit more trouble. I currently have a part-time job, so this will allow me to spend plenty of time with your pup! I also only work from 3-5 hours per day and do not work everyday, making it perfect to help out and take care of you dog! I just got a 6 month old puppy, I am leash, crate, and manner training her. I am comfortable following instructions from the pets owner on how they want me to care for their dog.
“Aine is super nice and attentive to the animals. She’s been sending frequent updates on her drop ins and even befriended my very reclusive cat quickly. Will definitely have Aine watch her again in the future!”

“Trenton was absolutely amazing. Very caring and thorough in his care for beau, and was flexible and accommodating. You can’t go wrong with Trenton! Highly recommend.”

“We highly recommend Rayme as a pet sitter as she is professional and trustworthy. Rayme followed feeding and medication instructions to the letter while ensuring the best care of our asthmatic cat. Having Rayme as our pet sitter while we were out of the country removed our worries and we appreciated her focused report outs.”

“Brianne was absolutely fantastic with our pups! Made sure they had ample potty breaks and play time during her visits, the pups were so happy to see her. We will definitely be using Brianne again in the future!”

“Will is so kind and very organized. Our dogs were quick to be his friend. He stayed in touch and kept us informed throughout. We are very lucky to have found him. He is respectful and thoughtful! Can’t recommend enough”

“Great communication and thorough updates. Showed up when she said and stayed the entire time. Would fully trust her with my puppy again anytime and recommend her to any friends.”

Here's a review you could post on her Rover profile: Amy is absolutely fantastic! She has cared for my two cats, Davinci and Snickers, multiple times, and I could not recommend her more highly. She is reliable, trustworthy, communicative, and genuinely loves animals. Every visit comes with thoughtful updates and great photos, which always gives me peace of mind when I'm away. It's clear that she treats my cats as if they were her own, and they are always happy, healthy, and well cared for when I return home. One of the things I appreciate most about Amy is how dependable she is. I never have to worry when I'm traveling because I know my cats are in excellent hands. Finding someone you can trust with your pets and your home is invaluable, and Amy consistently exceeds expectations. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
