“We’re so happy we found Arlissa to care for our Aubie. Great communication from booking through drop off and pickup. Arlissa’s front porch is fenced and gated, her yard is an “amusement park” for dogs. We appreciate the photos and comments while Aubie was in her care. Arlissa truly cares for the welfare of a “fur baby” in her care. If we travel through here again, we would use her services without hesitation.”

“Catherine and Hubby are a wonderful team. They both love animals and they take such good care of my fur baby, just like she's their own. If you need care I highly recommend THEM!”

About: Hi! Meet us, Rebecca and Ethan 😁 We love pets! Ethan grew up with several dogs, ranging from puppies to older dogs. Our family loved an Aussie of our own for several years. Unfortunately she passed on a few years ago. We aren’t ready to have another dog yet, so we truly love taking care of our friends and family’s dogs! Rebecca is a stay at home mom with complete flexibility in her schedule. Ethan works from home and loves taking pups for walks and even on his daily runs if the dog is up for it! We live in a very safe neighborhood that is great for walking dogs! We have a fenced in back yard, and room in our home for your dog! We have a cat who honestly stays clear of dogs when we have them staying with us. We have three kids who love having dog friends come to our house!
About: I have always loved all kinds of animals and will care for your fur babies just as well as I care for my own. I grew up with a toy poodle though I would have loved to have more pets. Currently, my husband and I have two small dogs but I love dogs and cats of all sizes. I have experience with caring for older dogs as well as very young puppies. I am familiar with pad training and kennel training as well. I would love to take care of your pets and am more than willing to accommodate their needs! I stay at home full time with my 6 month old. So, my time for your pets is very flexible. I am also able to bathe and/or groom your dogs if that is a service you would like. I have a bath price set but I’m open to conversations about that and other grooming services you would like to add. I do all the grooming for my dogs including haircuts, nail clipping, and deshedding. I have two very friendly dogs, but I do have enough space/baby gates to keep my dogs separate from yours if necessary. I have a fully fenced backyard and a very walkable neighborhood. So, your dogs will have plenty of opportunities for exercise. My dogs are kennel trained and sleep with us in bed, but I will respect whatever pet rules you have in your home.
“Loree and Jeff were great with my German Shepard! I cannot say enough good things about this couple. My boy received plenty of exercise (playing ball and walking) which he needs every day. He came home tired every day which to me is a sign of an awesome day for my boy. He also received snuggles and love as well. Communication was excellent via text and several photos were provided every day. Five star rating--that's for sure.”

“Tara and her family provided a wonderful, safe, and caring daycare environment for my two small dogs. She is professional, kind, and thoughtful. I scheduled her right away to board my two dogs for an upcoming weekend trip.”
About: My wife and I have been taking care of our dog and foster dogs for the past 6 years. We've taken care of dogs ranging in size of French bulldogs to Siberian huskies. We have experience with high maintenance dogs and giving medications as well. My wife and I currently work from home and have plenty of time to play and take care of your pups. During the week boarding availability is best in the evening after 5 but accommodations can be made if needed. Weekends are 100% free and open. I have a larger fenced in yard and great neighborhood for plenty of walks. I can easily crate your dog if needed as well. We have plenty of different dog toys and beds throughout the house too.
About: I own and care for a 3 year-old medium goldendoodle. He is energetic and always ready to play with any dog or human around. I have 2 years of dog training experience, including basic obedience training, and basic trick training. I grew up with a Brittany, so I am very familiar with the personalities and instincts of hunting breeds as well. I stay at home with my one year old son, so I am available during the week days, and for extended stays/overnight boarding. We would love to care for your dog! I have a fenced in yard for the dogs to run. I will provide your dog’s food and any medicines or care routines on your provided schedule, to maintain your dog’s familiar routine while in a new environment. I am flexible with your dog’s preferred sleeping arrangements— I have a large crate and a medium sized crate available if your dog is a crate sleeper, but my dog is allowed on furniture, so I will provide whatever your dog prefers. Family-friendly, non-aggressive, fairly sociable dogs are preferred, no age preferences or restrictions. My toddler LOVES dogs and will certainly run up to hug or pet the dog.
About: Hi, I’m Trina. I’m someone who leads with compassion — especially when it comes to animals. I’ve been helping rescue and care for them since I was 13, and I still feel just as passionate now as I did when I walked into my first shelter. Whether it’s dogs, cats, rats, or any animal in need, I’m always ready to show up. I currently volunteer with my local Humane Society and have hands-on experience with everything from fostering and bottle-feeding to behavioral support. I’ve helped scared, sick, and overlooked animals feel safe and loved again — and there’s nothing more fulfilling to me. I’ve also been vegan since I was 13 because I believe in kindness toward all animals, not just the ones we share our homes with. My approach is calm, patient, and respectful. I know that trust takes time, and I never take that for granted. I’m new here and just getting started, but I’d truly love the chance to turn this kind of work into my full-time job. It would mean the world to me to earn your trust and be given opportunities to grow, help, and show what I can do. If you’re looking for someone who brings heart, care, and consistency — I’d be honored to work with you. I am hoping for so this full time! As of right now I have a job 9-5 most days! Except Sunday and Monday I’m off! If I can start doing this full time, I would available all days! 7 days a week, anytime between 7am-10pm. Let’s talk about how I can help you. I provide a calm, secure space, follow routines closely, give constant supervision, and treat every pet like my own—with patience, respect, and love. I take my job very seriously and handle with so much love and care.
About: I enjoy helping friends and family with their pets and am looking forward to meeting your four-legged besties. Our family loves animals of all kinds. I am a STAHM to two littles so I am always available to spend time with your dogs, but we do require them to be kid-friendly. We recently had two older dogs who passed away so we are happy to get our dog time in before we commit to a new family pet. Our backyard is not fenced but we enjoy taking walks around the neighborhood! I took a break from dog sitting while my two littles were babies. Now I am staying at home with them and we love taking walks so I thought we would starting taking care of dogs again! We have an open floor plan house and a big yard, our yard isn’t fenced so we do lots of walks and just spending time together outside!
“We are beyond grateful that Katherine took in our pugs for a couple hours! It was last minute. As soon my pugs were inside they felt comfortable walking around by themselves. We immediately felt relieved and trusted Katherine and her husband. They were wonderful. They updated us and our pugs loved them! Their house was dog friendly too! We appreciate everything they did for us💙 100% recommend💙💙”

About: I’ve cared for pets for 15+ years—from raising my first dog from puppyhood through senior care to loving two Maine-coon mix littermates with very different personalities. I’m comfortable with anxious dogs, social or independent cats, and medication administration. I’ve also raised multiple puppies and supported end-of-life care with patience and compassion. Availability: Flexible university student schedule with weekday + weekend walks/drop-ins and evening care. Meet & Greet: I’ll ask about routines, meds, anxiety triggers, and what a “great day” looks like for your pet—so care feels familiar from the first visit. What you can expect: • Communication: photo/video updates 2×/day (more on request), quick responses, and clear notes after each visit. • Calm, consistent care: structured potty/meal times, enrichment (sniff walks, puzzle feeders), and low-stress handling for nervous pets. • Safety first: double-leash checks before doors open, fenced-yard/doorway awareness, secure carriers for cats, and your vet/emergency plan on file. Dogs: experience from puppies to seniors; gentle reinforcement of house rules/routines you already use. Cats: I read cat body language, keep litter clean, and tailor visits for playful extroverts or hide-and-seek introverts—with quiet companionship when that’s what they prefer. Current university student with a flexible routine and able to provide consistent walks, playtime, and visits mornings, evenings, and weekends to match your pet’s schedule. I treat every pet like my own, focusing on safety and comfort. I double-check leashes and doors, follow your routines, keep feeding areas clean, and create a calm, stress-free environment. I respect each pet’s personality—whether playful or shy—and send updates so you always know they’re safe and cared for.
“Aubrey really helped us out with last minute daycare after a death in our family. Our dog Maggie got along well with her two terriers. She updated me with pictures and texts through out the day. Thank you Aubrey!”

About: I give my full attention to each pet I care for. Taking time to reinforce training, reward good behaviors, and always remaining playful, peaceful, and happy. I treat every pet like my own child. Pets are a member of our families and should be treated just the same. Once I meet a pet I do everything I can to get to know their whole personality. What makes them wag their tail, what they don’t particularly care for, and what needs they need met. I want to ensure that the next time I meet a pet, they recognize me and know I was a fun and safe human to be around. I also want to ensure the human owners feel comfortable and at ease around me. Knowing your pet is in good care is just as important as caring for them yourself. I am currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to give dogs the exercise and attention they require. I am available for dog boarding and doggy daycare everyday of the week. I walk animals three to four times a day. I, also, live right up from a dog park where I take dogs to roam and play.
About: We have owned our great Pyrenees mix for 8 years now, and have boarded our families dogs when needed. Our dog loves to have friends over. We are a flexible and loving home. My husband and I have jobs where we are able to work from home every day of the week, so your dog will be with a trusted sitter 24/7. We have a fenced in yard and plenty of room for a second dog. We routinely take walks with our dog and would love adding another.
About: For the past 8 years, I have been involved in rescue work and have gained experience fostering dogs and cats of varying ages and personalities. I have also worked at a dog training facility, gaining more experience and knowledge of dogs' body language, needs, and training. From caring for newborn puppies to senior dogs, from fearful to playful, every experience has been fulfilling. I am a proud owner of three rescue fur babies who bring love and joy into my life every day. I will forever be grateful for all the lessons they taught me and continue teaching me every day about love, joy, compassion, appreciation and patience I believe in using positive reinforcement methods and showing patience and creativity when handling animals. I have deep respect for their unique personalities and always strive to ensure their safety and well-being, fostering positive associations and allowing them the freedom to make choices independently Hey there! I recently relocated to Dayton and am looking for opportunities to spend as much time as possible with animals. I am fascinated by animal psychology and behaviour, and by how they learn and communicate. I regularly take my pups to dog classes in the evenings, go on long walks during the day and study online from home I have three beautiful pets to keep your fur baby company, or I can separate them so your paw-friend has peace of mind and personal space. If you prefer to keep your sweet little one in the crate, we will make it a calm, relaxing experience with a yummy food puzzle and classical music in the background. When pet sitting at your place, I can follow your instructions and guidance to make sure the little paws have everything they need. I enjoy spending time teaching dogs good manners and new skills. We practice obedience training with my pups every day, and my cat just started learning new tricks too. If you like, I can create an individual training plan for your pet during their stay, or you can let me know what to work on, and I'll make sure your pup is receiving the training. Any training is welcome, from puppy training to obedience to learning new skills. Change is stressful and scary, so I will make sure your fur baby has enough attention, physical exercise and mental stimulation. I have plenty of interactive toys for busy-minded pups, as well as lots of ideas for healthy, long-lasting snacks, such as food puzzles, KONG toys, lick mats, and sniffle games. And I'm always open to trying new activities if our furry friend has a favourite toy or game
About: I’ve been around dogs/ animals my whole life. I grew up in North Pole, AK. Where my father and I ran siberian dog sled teams, therefore, big muscular dogs do not intimidate me nor does pulling. I’ve been the known ‘dog person’ of my family since I was a young child I was always there to pick up and play with the puppies when we had litters and now it’s become a passion of mine to take care of people’s pets as I know it can be stressful thinking about leaving our furry ones behind in a kennel with a bunch of strange dogs and people they’re not used to, so, I would love to relieve you of that stress and assure that your fur babies will be in the best hands and be well taken care of as I would expect nothing less for my own. I look forward to meeting all of your furry friends! Rover is my full time job therefore I have all of the time in the world for your furry babies. Sun rise or sun set. You can count on me! I have a dog hammock in my car with seatbelts to ensure the safe travels of your furry ones. As well as travel water bottles, food bowls, toys, and a medical kit incase we’re on a hike!
“Biscuit had a great first ever day of dog daycare with Tim and Kasia! We got a couple of short videos of playtime and reassurance that she was doing well. Tim and Kasia also were very generous with their time when we visited beforehand and answered all of our questions. They have been very trustworthy and we will be back!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
