“Catherine and Adam were a pleasure to meet and to trust with our dear Nala. Drop-off was easy and dog-wise, both for making Nala feel at home and for meeting new friends (canine, feline and human). The pix throughout the day helped me feel connected and assured. Will definitely trust them again with Nala care needs.💞💞💞”

About: I have had dogs for 30+ years and have cared for numerous family and friends' dogs throughout the years as well. My family and I have always enjoyed having dogs around! I am currently a stay-at-home mom, which means I will have lots of time to play with your adorable fur children! I'm typically away from home around 20 minutes total daily during the weekdays. Since I am a stay-at-home mom, I am able to go on daily walks, multiple times throughout the day. We also have a 4 kids who absolutely adore dogs of all breeds. My husband is also a dog lover and will help in giving extra snuggles, walks and play time!
“Tara and her family provided a wonderful, safe, and caring daycare environment for my two small dogs. She is professional, kind, and thoughtful. I scheduled her right away to board my two dogs for an upcoming weekend trip.”
“Arlissa is THE best! My girl is a barker and she handles her wonderfully. Arlissa sends little videos throughout the stay so I can see how Valkyrie is getting along! So far Arlissa is the only Rover sitter I’ve used.I’m sure there are others that are good, but Arlissa is AWESOME!”

“Loree and Jeff were great with my German Shepard! I cannot say enough good things about this couple. My boy received plenty of exercise (playing ball and walking) which he needs every day. He came home tired every day which to me is a sign of an awesome day for my boy. He also received snuggles and love as well. Communication was excellent via text and several photos were provided every day. Five star rating--that's for sure.”

About: I enjoy helping friends and family with their pets and am looking forward to meeting your four-legged besties. Our family loves animals of all kinds. I am a STAHM to two littles so I am always available to spend time with your dogs, but we do require them to be kid-friendly. We recently had two older dogs who passed away so we are happy to get our dog time in before we commit to a new family pet. Our backyard is not fenced but we enjoy taking walks around the neighborhood! I took a break from dog sitting while my two littles were babies. Now I am staying at home with them and we love taking walks so I thought we would starting taking care of dogs again! We have an open floor plan house and a big yard, our yard isn’t fenced so we do lots of walks and just spending time together outside!
About: Hi! Meet us, Rebecca and Ethan 😁 We love pets! Ethan grew up with several dogs, ranging from puppies to older dogs. Our family loved an Aussie of our own for several years. Unfortunately she passed on a few years ago. We aren’t ready to have another dog yet, so we truly love taking care of our friends and family’s dogs! Rebecca is a stay at home mom with complete flexibility in her schedule. Ethan works from home and loves taking pups for walks and even on his daily runs if the dog is up for it! We live in a very safe neighborhood that is great for walking dogs! We have a fenced in back yard, and room in our home for your dog! We have a cat who honestly stays clear of dogs when we have them staying with us. We have three kids who love having dog friends come to our house!

During the week boarding availability is best in the evening after 5 but accommodations can be made if needed. Weekends are 100% free and open. I have a larger fenced in yard and great neighborhood for plenty of walks. I can easily crate your dog if needed as well. We have plenty of different dog toys and beds throughout the house too.
About: Hi, I’m Trina. I’m someone who leads with compassion — especially when it comes to animals. I’ve been helping rescue and care for them since I was 13, and I still feel just as passionate now as I did when I walked into my first shelter. Whether it’s dogs, cats, rats, or any animal in need, I’m always ready to show up. I currently volunteer with my local Humane Society and have hands-on experience with everything from fostering and bottle-feeding to behavioral support. I’ve helped scared, sick, and overlooked animals feel safe and loved again — and there’s nothing more fulfilling to me. I’ve also been vegan since I was 13 because I believe in kindness toward all animals, not just the ones we share our homes with. My approach is calm, patient, and respectful. I know that trust takes time, and I never take that for granted. I’m new here and just getting started, but I’d truly love the chance to turn this kind of work into my full-time job. It would mean the world to me to earn your trust and be given opportunities to grow, help, and show what I can do. If you’re looking for someone who brings heart, care, and consistency — I’d be honored to work with you. I provide a calm, secure space, follow routines closely, give constant supervision, and treat every pet like my own—with patience, respect, and love. I’m currently working part-time, which gives me flexibility to provide plenty of attention, playtime, and care for your pets. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting based on my schedule. About: I've taken care of puppies and senior dogs for 6 years. Mainly for my relatives, friends and coworkers. Now I'm ready to branch out. I have more experience with senior dog care but I do have some knowledge in puppy training and care. I've only taken care of two cats. I'm a stay at home mom and could easily take care of 1-2 dogs at a time. My schedule is flexible. I wake up early and go to bed early for my baby. My husband and I own a duplex with an unfenced yard. Your fur baby will have there own apartment while boarding with us. I'm basically using our upstairs unit as a dog bed and breakfast. I can regularly check on them, take them out for potty breaks and walks in my neighborhood.

About: I've had a dog my entire life, so I understand the daily care, attention, and responsibility that pets need. From feeding, walking, playtime, and grooming to making sure they're comfortable and happy, I've been involved in caring for dogs for as long as I can remember. I know how important it is to stick to a pet's routine and give them patience, love, and attention. I'm dependable, responsible, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Whether your dog needs a walk, a drop-in visit, or someone to keep them company while you're away, I'll treat them like they're my own. I'll follow any instructions you provide, make sure they get plenty of exercise and care, and keep you updated so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. As a student-athlete and lifelong dog owner, I'm organized, responsible, and used to balancing a busy schedule. I have availability throughout the week and on many weekends for dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet care. Your pet will always have my full attention, and I'll make sure they receive the exercise, care, and affection they deserve while you're away. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I'll do my best to keep them comfortable while you're away. Whether it's meals, walks, playtime, or medications, I'll carefully follow your instructions and make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for. I'll also keep you updated with pictures and messages so you always know how they're doing.
About: I've always been a huge animal lover, and pet sitting started because I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets. My first job was caring for a family friend's dog, and I'd happily make the trip over after school to feed them, take them on long walks or runs around the pond, and make sure they got plenty of attention and exercise. It never felt like work—it was something I looked forward to every day. That experience sparked a love for pet care that has stayed with me. Whether I'm caring for a playful puppy, an energetic adult dog, or a senior pet who needs extra patience and attention, I treat every animal like they're my own. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, happy, and loved while giving owners peace of mind that they're in good hands. Pet care has been part of my routine for the past 4½ years! I work every day, but I work shorter shifts, so I’m home throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, and check-ins. Outside of work, I’m usually home and spend my evenings and weekends with the pets I’m watching. My boyfriend, who also happens to be my neighbor, is home much of the day and loves dogs just as much as I do. We actually met because the Frenchie I was watching got very excited to see him and tried to follow him into his apartment (he saw a tennis ball 😂) — and the rest is history! Between the two of us, your pets get plenty of company, attention, and love while you’re away. 🐶❤️ I'm pretty low-key and spend a lot of time at home, so pets get plenty of company. I enjoy going on long walks, so I'm happy to keep active dogs exercised. I stick to each pet's normal routine and make sure they're comfortable, well cared for, and getting the attention they need.
About: I give my full attention to each pet I care for. Taking time to reinforce training, reward good behaviors, and always remaining playful, peaceful, and happy. I treat every pet like my own child. Pets are a member of our families and should be treated just the same. Once I meet a pet I do everything I can to get to know their whole personality. What makes them wag their tail, what they don’t particularly care for, and what needs they need met. I want to ensure that the next time I meet a pet, they recognize me and know I was a fun and safe human to be around. I also want to ensure the human owners feel comfortable and at ease around me. Knowing your pet is in good care is just as important as caring for them yourself. I am currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to give dogs the exercise and attention they require. I am available for dog boarding and doggy daycare everyday of the week. I walk animals three to four times a day. I, also, live right up from a dog park where I take dogs to roam and play.
“I was coming to a Dayton Ohio for work and I was bringing my mini golden doodle pup along. I needed someone trustworthy to watch my baby boy, Arlo. I came across Katherine’s profile and immediately had that instinct that she was the one 😊 she was accommodating to my over protective mommy needs and agreed to hop on a zoom call with me beforehand. She was warm, nice and kind. It also helped she has 3 adorable little fur baby girls too. For the 4 days I was here for work she would take care of Arlo for me all day. She was extremely responsive and would send me pictures and videos all day without me even having to ask. She has a nice big fenced in backyard that Arlo loved running around freely in all day. Each evening I would pick him up he was exhausted from having fun playing all day. (His besty was her dog, Vanilla) 😊 I cannot recommend Katherine enough. She made my experience great and worry free. Thank you so much for taking great care of Arlo.”

“Tim and Kasia were amazing with our Oliver! We were nervous to leave him for the first time since adopting him, he’s goes to work with us every day and he rides with us nearly everywhere but our daughters play sports and we have long weekend days away from home. They sent videos of him running around with the other dogs playing and having a blast, which was great to see because he’s a total couch potato at home. When my husband picked him up he acted like he didn’t want to leave which is out of character for Oliver because he’s usually glued to us 24/7! He loved being there and they will be our first choice whenever we need care for Oliver.”

About: I’ve had my first dog( Bandit) for 10 years. Since I was 9, I would take care of him on the daily. I would be the one to bathe, feed, play with him, and walk him. My extended family even trusted me to care for their pets while they’ve been away. I also own many different kinds of pets other than dogs and cats, so animal care is something I have adapted to. For the past two years, I have had experience in intensive dog training and I am educated in dog behavior. I attend The Ohio State University studying Biology in order to become a Veterinarian. Not only do i need to earn a bachelor’s degree to get into vet school, but i also need hours of experience. To achieve that, I have volunteered at ASPCA (animal rescue organization) to care for the many animals in need. While there, I learned how to care for animals that have been in rough situations. I am able to manage dogs that are twice my size. As a crazy animal lover, I'd love to meet your pets! As of right now , I am available all day everyday to care for my own pets and yours too! I work from home, so pet care is something I’m able to do on the side. At home, I just got a fenced yard installed, but I take my pets out on walks. They are under my super vision 24/7. If my client has a fenced yard, I will happily take them outside as needed and provide playtime.

“Brandy & Brandon were amazing at updating me throughout the day with photos and videos while I was running errands! My dogs had a blast and came home pooped! My older dog can be picky with people but he seemed so comfortable. I would highly recommend them.”

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
