“Anne Marie was incredible! She was timely and kept us up to date with photos and notes every time she visited with our dog. Would recommend her to anyone!”

“Emma did such a wonderful job with drop in visits for my cats while I was out of town! One of my kitties needed extra special attention and some eye drops and she was so good with him and getting those done each visit throughout the day. She is excellent with the cats and they loved her. I highly recommend her.”

About: I've taken care of dogs, cats, rodents, lizards, and more, including the farm type! I have been doing this since I started to walk dogs around 13 years old. I have given medications, taken to appointments, and helped with simple early training. I've worked with week old puppies and kittens, to seniors who need extra attention. I'm ready to meet your expectations! I'm currently in school and only there 2 days a week! Besides those times, I have plenty of time to be a companion to your fur baby. Morning to night I can be there! In your home we'll follow what your pet is used to. Whether it's out in a fence, on a leash, in certain areas of the home or anything else. If they go to a park or get certain times of "freedom" I can do that too (if your fur baby is kept in an enclosure).
“Beth was fantastic with our cats, taking care to make sure they were fed and played with them wonderfully! She was very attentive and friendly during our initial meeting and we felt extremely confident leaving our babies in her care. Highly recommend.”
“Dorothy was fantastic! The meet and greet went great and she kept in communication the whole time we were gone. She was prompt about making sure the house was secure. Our cat normally roams outside, but she noticed he was hanging out under cars in the front, which is not normal, and she made sure to get him out from under and back inside. She was very nice and very responsible. We will def book her again.”

“I was nervous about using Rover and leaving my dog alone for the first time but Bradley made the process easy, comforting and will definitely be booking again. Overall he is great at communicating and is reliable.”

“Jennifer was a great vacation mom for our two cats. She filled the void of our absence perfectly. She took care of both of them, fed them, made sure the litter box is good to go, mittens even came and wanted to be played with. Pope on the other hand is a very selective cat, she only wants to be pet on her time, even with us. Jennifer left pictures each day, of how she interacted with our cats. Highly recommended to each and every cat owner as a caretaker. Will definitely book her again”

“We knew our cat was getting the attention and care needed from Alli while we were out of town and appreciated the photos she sent. We really appreciated Alli's flexibility when my original flights were cancelled.”

“We have used Cassie multiple times before, but we decided to use a neighborhood kid to help with the dogs for a long weekend away this time… but he had a family emergency and couldn’t finish his commitment with very little notice. I was freaking out and 3 hours away, and messaged Cassie- she stepped right in and took over caring for the dogs with just a few hours notice. THANK YOU Cassie- you are always reliable and take great care of Petey and Dexter- we will only use you from now on!!”

“Aine is super nice and attentive to the animals. She’s been sending frequent updates on her drop ins and even befriended my very reclusive cat quickly. Will definitely have Aine watch her again in the future!”

About: I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust. My goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible while you're away, so they feel comfortable, happy, and stress-free. Whether your pet loves long walks, endless games of fetch, or simply curling up on the couch, I'll make sure they get the personalized care they deserve. More about me: • 7+ years of pet-sitting experience • Experience with dogs of all ages and energy levels • Comfortable administering medication • Frequent photo and video updates • Flexible around each pet's routine • Reliable communication from booking through pickup In addition to pet sitting, I've volunteered at a local animal shelter and have fostered several rescue dogs. These experiences have taught me how to work with dogs of different personalities, energy levels, and comfort needs. I’m available for pet sitting and drop-ins, and can provide care outside of my work hours. I work weekdays, but I'm available before and after work for walks, potty breaks, playtime, and overnight stays. I can also stop by during lunch, if needed. I’m very tidy, organized, and respectful of everyones homes, and I make sure everything is kept clean and well cared for during my stay. I carefully follow your pet's routine, feeding schedule, medications, and any special instructions so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away.

About: I have had dogs my entire life from puppyhood to senior years! Since age 9, I have been able to be graced with having cats and now have one of my very own who gets whatever she wants. I love pets more than anything and would be honored to take care of yours just as I do mine. I currently work full time Monday-Thursday and am looking to add caring for animals into my time off through drop ins and walking! I am an avid explorer so I tend to walk several miles throughout my week and more on the weekends! I would love to drop in and see your pet to ease your worries about leaving them for work! I ensure the utmost care for my pets in my home and in others that I have cared for. I do this by having a watchful eye on them, engage them in enrichment of their choice, and love on them!
“Jill is such an incredibly nice person and really cares about the health and happiness of the animals she takes care of. She treated my boys so well and went above and beyond for me during her visits. I really appreciate her service and would absolutely book again.”

“Tiffany did a great job checking in on our two cats for two weeks. She gave updates and sent several pictures daily. Our cats loved her; would definitely recommend her to anyone else.”

“Michelle is beyond amazing! She always takes care of my pup with love and calmness, as he’s very skittish. Shes always so sweet and accommodating to mine and my pets needs. Thanks again, Michelle 🩷🐾”

“Emily has only been working with us and our sweet pup for a week so far and we are very impressed! She’s punctual, shares detailed information with us and is very sweet. We are excited to continue working with her!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Kettering
Alyson did an amazing job taking care of our two cats, Davinci and Snickers, while I was traveling for work. She communicated consistently and sent pictures, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. She made sure they were fed, their litter box was clean, and they always had fresh water in their fountain. She also brought in my mail and spent time playing with them. I’m very grateful for the excellent care she provided and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring pet sitter!

Valerie is absolutely amazing! Our cat is incredibly shy, but she gets so excited whenever she knows Valerie is coming—which says everything. Valerie spends extra time with her, gives her so much love and attention, and treats her like she’s her own. Knowing she’s not just being cared for, but genuinely loved while we’re away means so much to us. Valerie is simply the best, and we couldn’t recommend her more! ❤️🐾

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kettering. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
