“Mckinzey is super sweet and my boys absolutely loved her! I’m very happy to have found somebody we all like. Great communication and very patient during the meet and greet with my dogs since they’re afraid of strangers of first. We can’t wait to hangout with her again!”

“Miranda is incredible! She took great care of all my pets while I was away! They each have different needs and personalities and she handled them all well. She kept me updated on their behaviors, health status, and any other news each visit. She also cleaned up at the end of the week. I felt comfortable knowing she was there.”

“Jennifer was a great vacation mom for our two cats. She filled the void of our absence perfectly. She took care of both of them, fed them, made sure the litter box is good to go, mittens even came and wanted to be played with. Pope on the other hand is a very selective cat, she only wants to be pet on her time, even with us. Jennifer left pictures each day, of how she interacted with our cats. Highly recommended to each and every cat owner as a caretaker. Will definitely book her again”

“Nikki was the best. She is very responsible, friendly, helpful and sincerely so glad we found her. Can Nikki contact me at 19372696996. I just have a quick question for a friend.”

“My young Ridgeback is a handful at first but Beth was his new friend within minutes. He was super relaxed around her and that says it all. She’s super flexible with night shift schedules and last minute changes to dates. She’s great!!”

“Thank you Valerie for taking great care of our pups, even the mishap with cleaning up after them, which was so unexpected! I can tell the pups miss your visits already 😊”

“Cassie took such good care of our two dogs while we were out of town and even through power outages over the weekend she still came and took care of them in the dark. Will definitely be booking with her again when needed”

“Emma was awesome with my 7 month old puppy Pearl! Pearl LOVED her! The daily updates were great, and Emma was even flexible to accommodate a last minute time-change for a drop-in. I will definitely be booking again when I need help with Pearl. :)”

About: I’m currently living on campus at my college and I come from a company in my hometown called HomeWard Bound which is a pet-care company that is very similar to Rover. I have many months of experience which lead me to enjoy this job and wanting to continue it when I live on campus. Over the summer I will be mainly free since my priority is occupying my time with taking care of animals and learning more about them! I care with patience and trust. I allow the pet to warm up to me if needed, no forcing. I follow instructions thoroughly since I have experience from taking care of numerous amount of animals.
“Sandy and Boss hit it off immediately. Her calm demeanor was nice and inviting to him. She followed our instructions and arrived on time with respect for our dog, and property. Thank you Sandy we will be sure to hire you again.”

About: As a dedicated vet assistant, I have immersed myself in understanding animal well-being. I handle a variety of different animals varying in shapes and sizes at work. I am well educated on animal temperaments and proper care. For eight years, I was the primary caregiver for a senior dog with a heart condition. He sadly passed away in October of 2023 after living a long happy life of 20 years! Prior to having my little dog Prince, I have had various pets throughout my entire life, everywhere from puppies to birds to reptiles. I now share my home with my two rescued cats, Doja and Marble, and a rescue dog named Abe! Abe is friendly and loves to play with other dogs. I have a large gate in the home to separate the cats from the dogs, so there will be no stressors for any of the pets who stay with me. Having cared for animals with diverse medical conditions and temperaments, I am adept at recognizing signs of discomfort or distress, and I am well-prepared to handle unexpected situations with care. With my experience in veterinary medicine, I also offer nail trims for an additional cost! Please reach out to me if you would like this included in your service. I am available part time to care for your furry family! Message me the date and time and I will do my very best to work it into my schedule. My previous dog had a strict medication and vitamins routine so I am no stranger to a pet with extra needs. Please make me aware of any restrictions, medications, temperaments, or other various topics I will need to know to ensure your pet has the safest and most caring time with me!
“Whitney was so considerate, communicative, and caring for my dog, and her genuine good wishes for my pets was evident through the way she gave me detailed updates, took great care of my home, and gave pets and love to all of my household.”

Miranda, checked in with our 4 kitties twice a day. She had good communication and sent us photos so we could see them as she spent time with them. She did a great job keeping up with the litter boxes and sweeping up any messes they made. She also brought the mail in for us. We highly recommend her and hope she’ll be available next time we need to go somewhere.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Centerville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
