“Dogs had a great time, we loved getting pictures of them while we were away and had peace of mind with their fenced in yard. Grateful they took such good care of our dogs!”

“Loree and Jeff are two angels sent from the doggy gods! They were absolutely amazing with my shepherd Zeus. They sent lots of pictures and communicated almost instantly with all of my questions. They really treated Zeus like their own dog and spoiled him so much! I will absolutely be asking them to dog sit again, I have zero complaints!”

“Very friendly and conscientious. My dogs have stayed with her multiple times and they are thrilled when we pull up. They are excited to see Tammy and her dogs. Highly recommend her.”
“We really appreciated Joe watching our two dogs! He was incredibly kind and provided updates so we knew they were doing well. He went above and beyond accommodating a later pickup when our flight was delayed. Thank you, Joe!”

“Joe has been great with our dog Jake over the past few months the that we have had him take care of Jake! He gives Jake wonderful care and Jake loves going to Joe’s! He gets so excited once he realizes we are on Joe’s street!”

About: I have provided care and enrichment for a variety of animals throughout my life, from hamsters all the way up to farm animals. I have had multiple jobs in animal care, acquired a bachelor’s degree that required multiple animal-related care internships, and have personally cared for many family pets in their own homes. I'M OFFICIALLY FULL-TIME IN PERSONAL PET CARE ☺️ If a pet parent is flexible with their schedule I can fit it around my other clients! Especially for walks or drop ins. I'm going full-time on pet care for a little while I am content to go for long walks or trips to a dog park, or just lounge around the house with the occasional trip outside all depending on what your pet prefers. I will follow all instructions on their meals and any meds they may have.
About: I've taken care of puppies and senior dogs for 6 years. Mainly for my relatives, friends and coworkers. Now I'm ready to branch out. I have more experience with senior dog care but I do have some knowledge in puppy training and care. I've only taken care of two cats. I'm a stay at home mom and could easily take care of 1-2 dogs at a time. My schedule is flexible. I wake up early and go to bed early for my baby. My husband and I own a duplex with an unfenced yard. Your fur baby will have there own apartment while boarding with us. I'm basically using our upstairs unit as a dog bed and breakfast. I can regularly check on them, take them out for potty breaks and walks in my neighborhood.
“Emily and Kris were excellent hosts for our pup. They were responsive and very easy to work with. They have lots of space at their home for the dogs to romp. Our pup came home happy and worn out from all the playtime. I would highly recommend Emily and Kris!!”

About: My partner Anthony and I have extensive pet care experience through house sitting for several families, caring for a wide variety of dogs with different needs and personalities. We've looked after dogs who require a high level of care, including administering medication, following strict routines, and maintaining consistent feeding and walking schedules. We've also cared for easy-going pets who simply need companionship, exercise, and lots of love. We pride ourselves on being attentive, reliable, and adaptable, making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. Erin works close to home, so she can come back and care for the dogs during the workday. I am available for boarding on weekends, depending on my schedule. We will make sure your dog is well taken care of! We have a fun, friendly, energetic dog to keep your dog company. We have a partially fenced-in yard, but I will never leave your dog outside alone. We only want to accept dogs that do well/get along with other dogs for the safety of our dog, Ozzy, and ourselves.
“Absolutely wonderful!! Took exceptional great care of our puppy Little Bit for a multi day overnight stay. Great to work with and communication with photos eased my concern of how she was doing. Jenna truly is a natural care giver. Her home is set up perfectly for keeping dogs. Little Bit had a great time and loved playing in the pool. Thank you so much for a positive experience. Will book in future.”

“Amber did an amazing job taking care of Beans (9 month old lab) for an entire week. She was prompt with updates and photos upon my request. I’d highly recommend trusting her with your pet.”

About: Growing up with dogs and now having my own I know how much they add to our lives and our family. I have also seen how difficult it can be sometimes to find place to keep our dog when we need some help or need to go away and can't take them with us. Since I was a teenager I have walked and taken care of dogs and other animals, giving them the same care I give my own and always keeping my rates fair. Life is expensive enough! In my care you can be assured that they will have a nicely manicured fenced in yard, along with open space inside and out to walk, run, and play! They will receive lots of attention and cuddles! While we play we always ensure supervision, safety, and separation to meet all needs. I enjoy working with dogs of all ages and energy levels I have open availability during the week and weekends, with 3 children, a small senior dog and young cat, so we can be with your dogs as much as possible! We focus on small to medium sized dogs since we can best accommodate their needs and fit best with our day to day schedule. We have a fenced in yard and close to parks, with room to crate so we can give your dog the care they need. The kids love to play and keep your dogs busy. We have rooms where they can enjoy peace and quiet as well.
“Morgan did a fantastic job watching our little Theo. She was extremely responsive and communicative - providing numerous updates and photos throughout his stay. Would highly recommend Morgan for any pet sitting needs!”

“Kody’s stay with Karen was awesome. She treats your pet like her own. She is so lovable and very educated about dogs. She follows all rules left by the owners. I will definitely be using her services again.”

“Brandy and Brandon were amazing sitters for my boy! They are very friendly with a clean and welcoming home! I really appreciated the level of communication, frequently sending updates and photos! Dunkin had a blast and will absolutely be back!”

“I had the best experience with Arlissa. It was my first experience ever with boarding. I was kept up to date on how my dog Nellie was doing throughout her stay. I got pictures and even a couple of videos! When I picked her up she was happy and I could tell she had a great time! I'm so thankful to have found someone who I can trust to take good care of my fur baby! ❤❤”
“Treven loved having other dogs to play with and Vanessa provided extra reassurance that things were going well throughout his stay. I hope he is able to stay with her and her family again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kettering
Laurie and Jeff took such great care of Maggie while I was away. She had some digestive problems which they took care of with a temporary diet change to chicken and rice. Jeff taught her to "shake" ...Who says you can't teach an old dog (9 yrs) new tricks? In many of the pictures they sent she seemed to be "smiling" I was informed every 1-2 days of how Maggie's day was going, with pictures accompanying the messages. I recommend Loree and Jeff highly.
Isla had a great stay with Rebecca and her family. We have only used one dog sitter with our dog and they were not available so I was concerned how Isla would do with other dogs, but she loved running around with their dogs. Rebecca is truly a pet lover and was super with our dog, can’t recommend her enough.

Meeko stayed with Jennifer for the first time last week and we were so happy with our experience. She has a big beautiful family so there is no shortage of love given to your pet. But between her own dogs and others boarding, Meeko had the best time playing with all of them and Jennifer sent plenty of photos and updates. We will absolutely use her services again I highly recommend her!

Joe was great! He has a really nice yard for play and Bo loved his new friends. We were gone for 9 days but he came home so calm and restful, he typically is pretty anxious. We also appreciated there weren’t too many other dogs being boarded at the same time. We were lucky to find someone like Joe so close to our trip and the holiday after our first boarder backed out. We will definitely be using Joe again!

Melissa was wonderful!! Her communication was great throughout the whole process. She sent pictures & kept us updated during the time Captain was there. Captain had fun & a great time playing with her dogs, just like he was part of the family. He was even allowed on the bed and gave Melissa kisses he was so happy while he was there. I would have Captain go back there anytime. She was great & I didn't have to worry about a thing. I felt comfortable & knew he was being taken care of!! I would recommend Melissa for a Rover to anyone.

Jacqueline was really good with Duke. Responded super fast and gave multiple updates each day! I will definitely have her become a designator sitter for my puppy! We were so worried about leaving him with a sitter but Jacqueline was very responsive which allowed my worries to go away!

This is our third time using Carey and Bonnie, and once again, we had a great experience. Sam, our Goldendoodle, is an anxious fella who struggles with separation anxiety. They loved on him and made him feel right at home, as always. We received daily updates, photos, and videos throughout his stay. They're the best of the best! THANK YOU@@

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
