“Rachel is an incredible person. She adored my dog as if it were her own. She ensured that my dog felt at ease in a new environment. I truly appreciate her efforts and highly recommend her services.”

“Karen treated my dog like family. She had a great time. We will be sure to use her again. She sent us plenty of pictures and kept us updated.”

“Loree and Jeff are two angels sent from the doggy gods! They were absolutely amazing with my shepherd Zeus. They sent lots of pictures and communicated almost instantly with all of my questions. They really treated Zeus like their own dog and spoiled him so much! I will absolutely be asking them to dog sit again, I have zero complaints!”

About: I've taken care of puppies and senior dogs for 6 years. Mainly for my relatives, friends and coworkers. Now I'm ready to branch out. I have more experience with senior dog care but I do have some knowledge in puppy training and care. I've only taken care of two cats. I'm a stay at home mom and could easily take care of 1-2 dogs at a time. My schedule is flexible. I wake up early and go to bed early for my baby. My husband and I own a duplex with an unfenced yard. Your fur baby will have there own apartment while boarding with us. I'm basically using our upstairs unit as a dog bed and breakfast. I can regularly check on them, take them out for potty breaks and walks in my neighborhood.
“Catherine and Adam have watched our 2 dogs a few times now, and they couldn't be nicer or easier to work with! I feel very comfortable knowing our pets are in great hands.”

“Willow enjoyed her time with Amber and her family. They loved on her the entire weekend. She had so much fun that she is worn out and has been sleeping soundly since we got home. I would definitely use her again.”

“Emily was absolutely wonderful. We had to go out of town unexpectedly due to a death in the family and could not find a sitter on such short notice. Emily was so understanding and willing to help that we felt so comfortable after meeting her our Marley would be well taken care of. Highly recommend her!”

“Arlissa was such a kind and wonderful dog sitter. This was my first time using Rover and I was so nervous about leaving my baby dog (fur child) with a stranger, but she was more than patient with me. We came from out of town to attend an event & brought Kimber, my baby, with us. Arlissa sent pictures while she had Kimber in her care. She answered all of my questions before drop off and while caring for Kimber. She was very timely & responsive. If I'm ever back in town again, I will have no hesitation using her services again. I 10000% recommend her.”

“Our dog had a wonderful stay with Joe. She can be nervous to leave us, and he put her right at ease. He was great with updates, and gave her gentle care. We will definitely be using him again! Your pup will be in good hands if you book with Joe!”

“Treven loved having other dogs to play with and Vanessa provided extra reassurance that things were going well throughout his stay. I hope he is able to stay with her and her family again.”

“Katherine was great! She treated our Rudy just like he was her own. She let him snuggle on the couch, and she has the best backyard that the dogs can use. She sent us pictures and video updates. Will definitely book with her again.”

“Dulce loves staying with Aubrey! Aubrey is always caring and responsive. I highly recommend her and her awesome skill with my dog and all the other new dog friends Dulce has made while under Aubrey's careful and loving watch ?”

“Nate and Whitney were great with my Australian Shepherd. They kept me updated with pictures and I could tell that he was well exercised while I was away. I will definitely be contacting them again if I need to go out of town and can't take Ozzie with me!”

“Carmen is reliable, caring, and attentive. She sends pictures and updates me frequently. My dog likes to roam around her fenced backyard. My dog gets great care whenever she's with Carmen.”

“Brandy and Brandon were amazing sitters for my boy! They are very friendly with a clean and welcoming home! I really appreciated the level of communication, frequently sending updates and photos! Dunkin had a blast and will absolutely be back!”

“Mandy was amazing! Josie immediately felt comfortable and at home with her and the family. We were able to meet ahead of time to make sure everything was to run smoothly and I was thankful for that time. Having an animal reactive pet brings a lot of stress and anxiety when it comes to boarding and dog sitters, but Mandy erased all of my anxiety with her above and beyond care and communication. While out of town I had continuous message AND picture updates of my fur baby and I was so grateful. Cannot wait to book with this crew again! 💕”

About: I have provided care and enrichment for a variety of animals throughout my life, from hamsters all the way up to farm animals. I have had multiple jobs in animal care, acquired a bachelor’s degree that required multiple animal-related care internships, and have personally cared for many family pets in their own homes. I'M OFFICIALLY FULL-TIME IN PERSONAL PET CARE ☺️ If a pet parent is flexible with their schedule I can fit it around my other clients! Especially for walks or drop ins. I'm going full-time on pet care for a little while I am content to go for long walks or trips to a dog park, or just lounge around the house with the occasional trip outside all depending on what your pet prefers. I will follow all instructions on their meals and any meds they may have.
“Lashonna is fantastic. A great meet-and-greet, very accommodating on pick up and drop off, great communication, and most importantly our dog seems very happy with the stay.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Oakwood
Joe was great! He has a really nice yard for play and Bo loved his new friends. We were gone for 9 days but he came home so calm and restful, he typically is pretty anxious. We also appreciated there weren’t too many other dogs being boarded at the same time. We were lucky to find someone like Joe so close to our trip and the holiday after our first boarder backed out. We will definitely be using Joe again!

Juneau had a GREAT time with Pietro & his 2 dogs. He really enjoyed the continuation of his daily walks we provide at home. Pietro sent photos of Juneau getting exercise and relaxing. He looked very comfortable in his temporary home while we were on vacation. Thanks for taking such care of him!
Jacqueline was really good with Duke. Responded super fast and gave multiple updates each day! I will definitely have her become a designator sitter for my puppy! We were so worried about leaving him with a sitter but Jacqueline was very responsive which allowed my worries to go away!

Rebecca was so great! My first time using Rover, and first time leaving my new puppy. She sent me an update within the hour of me leaving reassuring me he’s doing great, and I could tell when I picked him up he had a great time! Would highly recommend and will be my go-to moving forward :)

Arlissa came highly recommended by a friend, and we are so thankful to have found her! We needed a more home like environment for our aging dog who began to struggle at the boarding facility. Both he and our younger dog seemed to have had a great time with her. We received daily (sometimes multiple times a day) updates, adorable photos, and questions/concerns about health/skin- which we appreciated her attention to detail. The pups came back relaxed, clean, and not as spun up and anxious as in previous stays at boarding facilities. We will absolutely be booking with her again, and recommending her to friends.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
